DALLAS Mavericks star Luka Doncic has raised a few eyebrows getting out of his car before the matchup with the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. The Slovenian guard, 23, pulled up to American Airlines Center in a $200,000, six-wheel Jeep that some say experts say is "apocalypse-proof." Doncic drove an Apocalypse Hellfire, a heavily-modified Jeep Gladiator produced by Apocalypse Manufacturing CORRECTION*

Fine with me if he drives anything he wants, it's his money. As to "after the apocalypse".....he will be reduced to scrounging left over fuel from the tanks of abandoned cars....which, at the 10 mpg rate of that beast won't get him far.
A far better vehicle for hard times would be a small displacement motorcycle which gets 100 mpg and can go places no four wheeled vehicle can ever go.

I too have an apocalypse vehicle. It's a very nice motorized bicycle with a 4 stroke engine that runs on alcohol I make myself. Gets about 75 mpg. Best part is on a long trip, the "fuel" is consumable! ;-)

I want one!!! If I had 200k in disposable income, one would be in my driveway.
Today, 200k isn't all that excessive. Not when you can easily drop 70K for a pickup.

Raised the eye brows of jealous busy bodies who wish they could afford that.
None of anyone else's business what someone drives as long as it's street legal.

How do you do a story like this without good pictures of the vehicle?

Guessing that this is a giant white guy. That Apocalypse must have looking strange in the employee parking lot with the Bentleys, Mercedes SUVs, and Silver Clouds.

$200,000?
Is that all?
Seems a bargain to me, given that it is only slightly over double the price of a regular production line Jeep..... I saw a TV commercial a few months ago for Jeep... Proudly stating "Prices starting at $89,995.99"
I was shocked.

Ha ha, sucker. The tranny is going to blow at 1,500 miles like all other crappy Jeeps (FIAT built). Bet the salesman saw him coming. Ha Ha ha.

Those rubber tires won't get him very far when the Apocalypse arrives. Guess he'll have to just sit inside and wait for it to pass.

While Jeep is part of the Fiat Chrysler conglomerate, only the Jeep Renegade is made by Fiat. Jeep Gladiators are built in Toledo, Ohio.

200K is just the purchase price. Or should I say, it might not be just the purchase price -- that could also be the monthly cost of fuel, for owners who want to actually use it, instead of just parking it at home to impress visitors.

He should have bought a private jet! Davis attendees would have approved!
It’s his money. He is still free to purchase what ever he wants.

Bogus. If there’s an EMP during this so called apocalypse it will just be a $200,000 dollar hunk of metal. I’ll take my old Chevy with points type ignition.

So long as the monster vehicle doesn't take up two parking stalls, I'm okay.

Experts? It's a freaking hyper modded Jeep. The real apocalypse vehicle would cost nearly a million dollars. This isn't even close. What a bunch of losers.

Re #14. The fiction books which 'teach' about times after an EMP are wrong.
Modern computerized cars required enough shielding for their electronics because of the very high voltage ignition system very close to the computer wiring that EMP has little or no effect on most cars. Of 25 autos tested, most continued to run after the EMP test. A few stopped, but restarted OK. A couple required that the battery be disconnected to reset the main computer, then ran normally. None were permanently disabled.
Perhaps some cars might be harmed, but not most. The test was of 25 random cars, was not all inclusive.
The biggest damage will be to electronic devices plugged into mains power. The long power lines will act as a giant antenna, focusing the EMP energy spike into the power grid. Some sensitive equipment that isn't shielded and isn't plugged in will be fried, too.
Most cars will probably be OK.
