An 80-year-old woman was banned from using a community pool run by the YMCA in Washington state after she expressed her anger because she said that a man dressed in a woman’s swimsuit was watching little girls undress and also saw her naked in the women’s showers, according to local media reports. Julie Jaman, 80, had been swimming at the Mountain View pool, a Port Townsend facility, for 35 years, but on July 26, the Y’s aquatics manager, Rowen DeLuna, allegedly informed her that some children needed the lane she was swimming in.

DARWIN, NT — A man returning from Indonesia to Australia was fined thousands of Australian dollars after airport security found several McDonald's food items in the man's luggage after he touched down.
The Australian government said in a statement that the man was singled out by a "biosecurity detector dog" trained to sniff out meat. When security inspected his backpack, they found two egg and beef sausage McMuffins from a Mcdonald's restaurant in Bali and a ham croissant. The man, who was not identified, faces a fine of $2664 (AUS) — equivalent to about $1843.45 USD — for the smuggled sandwiches.

Rush Limbaugh's widow Kathryn has quietly put their palatial, Versailles-style Palm Beach mansion on the market for $175million - after snapping up the property for just $4million in the 1990s - even as experts warn it may so dated it could be just torn down by its new owners.
The conservative radio legend, who died in February 2021, snapped up the 24,000-square-foot main house on Palm Beach's North Ocean Boulevard for $3.9 million in 1998, and has since bought up four neighboring properties to build a 2.7-acre estate, with an asking price of between $150 million and $175 million.

Two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton may campaign for president in 2024 if President Joe Biden decides not to run, CNN’s editor-at-large Chris Cillizza wrote on Tuesday.
Citing Friday’s Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade, Cillizza claimed that there were “whispers” that Clinton would make a third attempt to secure the Democrat nomination, adding that another White House run “would be something that would be hard for Clinton to not at least look at” if Biden were to decline to run again.

Former Bolivian President Jeanine Anez was sentenced to 10 years in prison Friday on charges she illegally took over the presidency.
The court’s decision to punish Anez, who took office in 2019 following the resignation of former President Evo Morales, was politically motivated, her lawyer Luis Guillen said, according to the New York Times. Guillen also argued that Bolivia’s current government, led by a socialist ally of Morales, broke the law in its treatment of Anez during her detention.
