A new government report reveals that the total amount of American soil owned by Chinese investors is nearly twice as large as the entirety of New York City.
As the New York Post reports, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) revealed in last month’s report on foreign-held land that Chinese buyers currently own at least 384,235 of American land. By contrast, the full expanse of New York City covers just 193,700 acres. Even Bill Gates’ total land ownership is dwarfed by China’s, with just 270,000 acres.
Of all the foreign-owned farmland in the U.S., China owns roughly 0.9 percent, or about $1.2 billion worth of land, according to the USDA report.

How convenient to spread bird flu, so millions of our chickens must be culled. What's next?
This needs to be stopped and undone.

Just rip up the contract of a so-called sale and tell them to take a hike. They don't own it any longer. we do not have to show them any manners or be polite, it's not a lingo that Chinese commies understand or speak. Of course, the vegetable will probably tell us that we cannot do that. Just shut up dementia jackass and don't sell this country any further down the river!

OMG! Not a whole 384,000 acres! C'mon people. If that was entirely in the state of Texas that would still only be .02 percent of the state. This was the same fear expressed 40+ years ago when the Japanese were buying US real estate. The question is not how much land the ChiComs own - it is WHERE their purchases are located and whether it is sensitive real estate, i.e., next to military bases or power plants...

The Chinese land holdings are slightly larger than the city of Los Angeles, or over 500 square miles. It is not the amount of land they own but the location.

As 6 and 7 said, the amount of land is super tiny. The locations are critical. Buying a few acres next to a base where F22s are based or NGAD is in testing should be automatically disallowed but if they want to buy up land in the middle of nowhere, more power to em.
The Japanese got wiped out in the 80s after buying up all sorts of land everywhere. Then real estate collapsed and they got killed.
Less than 1% of all agricultural land is nothing. Again, it's the locations that matter.

In my opinion, the bigger question is why do we allow non citizens or foreign corporations to own property in the United States?

384,000 acres isn't actually that much...in comparison to some really major landowners, some of whom are also "foreigners", and some that are citizens but pretty durn anti-American.

IMHO this
“Of all the foreign-owned farmland in the U.S., China owns roughly 0.9 percent, or about $1.2 billion worth of land, according to the USDA report.”
.09% is an alarmist response…

They make our shoes, clothes, furniture, textiles, medicines, solar panels, batteries, electronics...now they own 384,000 acres of land and they want more!

384,000 acres is 600 square miles -- roughly a 25-mile square.
That would be a big chunk of Luxembourg - - but barely a tiny dot in our bi-oceanic land. I doubt if the Chicoms could accomplish anything devious with that land - - that they haven't already accomplished with a helium balloon.

How about we tweek the subject just a little on this “the sky is falling” scenario—
If you include the detected but “gotaways” FIVE million ILLEGALS have come to this country since the Vegetable took over and there doesn’t appear to be ANY FUROR to match this or the BALOON story historian of last week!
Focus on the consequences facing U.S. from that and ponder the repercussions upon our welfare system from this uneducated, unvaccinated, and unskilled source of cheap labor that will take jobs away from American citizens……

The Chicoms also own a large complex of at least a half-dozen high-rise office buildings, very chic and modern, in metropolitan Houston, Texas. It houses their consulate and dozens of Chinese front-companies.

My guess: the Chicoms own far more real estate (farmland, commercial highrises, etc) than Joe Biden will ever reveal.
I mean, a kickback of a few million measly dollars has already got him dancing like a puppet on their strings.

Does anyone believe we (the USA government --- not individuals) could buy land in China? This proves that traitors never "sell their country down the river" ... they give it away!
100 acres owned by a sworn enemy would be too much if each acre was next to a military base.
They need to be shot down like the balloon!

#6 - let's not equate the Japanese and the Chinese Communist Party. At every point in our history, our enemies have leveraged our open and free society to infiltrate our systems in order to corrupt them. We are living that reality today.
The Chinese ownership of American land is only with the approval of the CCP. If you doubt that, not that every Chinese billionaire who thought he was above the CCP and dared to buck the Party has disappeared, or disappeared and reappeared a more docile billionaire. Nothing, NOTHING is done without the knowledge and approval of the Party.

Gaslighting article; US farm land is approximately 850,000,000 acres, and could be more, if needed. The japanese bought US property in the seventies and regretted, because ....... you can't take it with you back to whereever. What the chinese are doing to the US industrial base, all with the help of the "Club for Growth" is far more serious than this "nothing pie".

384,000 that we are aware of...who knows what they own...thanks to the billions of US $$$ we gave them...it was also reported they have their own police stations in the US, they control & cater to $$$$$ many athletic organizations. The people who say 384,000 is nothing probably think Biden runs the WH & really won the election!
