This is the astonishing moment seven orcas destroyed a sailing yacht and sank it in 45 minutes, with the terrified crew fleeing for their lives on a life raft near Portugal. Footage from November 1 shows the orcas circling and bumping the vessel, called Smousse while crew members Elliott, Augustin, Roman and Corentin were on board. Augustin said that when they heard the boat shaking and a loud noise at the back of the yacht, they realised they were surrounded by orcas.

Saw a video a few years ago of 4 orcas systematically going after a lone seal on an ice burg. Incredible. They created wave after wave in a controlled attack to knock the seal off the ice berg. It worked. They got it off and ear it.

I have logged something over 80,000 sea miles in boats around this size....have seen orcas(plus thousands of porpoises, other larger whales), never had an issue. Never even contemplated there would be one...but....I also always had weapons aboard, just never contemplated that I might need them for finny foes. Can say without a doubt though...I would use them while the boat was still afloat rather than going into the liferaft or water with the attackers.

Three boats off Portugal, that we know of. The pictures I saw seemed to be of young male orca, though of course, it may not be all young males. And they made off with the rudder? Were all the rudders made of the same substance? I recall some airports having trouble with feral dogs chewing pieces off of light planes, and the material was the same in all cases there. Or... Have all the boats attacked been of similar design? Orca are very bright and may bear a grudge for a type of watercraft that injured one of them.

Actually, #13, Moby Dick was based on a real event that happened in the early 1800’s to the Essex, a whaling ship out of Nantucket. The Essex was stowed by a massive white whale and the ship sunk. The surviving crew loaded into 3 smaller whaling boats, but were at sea for months. They eventually resorted to cannibalism to stay alive, something not uncommon among sailors at that time. Herman Melville interviewed Ned Nickerson, the last surviving member of the Essex, in order to write a book about the ordeal. Melville agreed to leave out the cannibalism part of the story. There’s a good movie about it called, “In the Heart of the Sea,” directed by Ron Howard. Fascinating story, and a precursor to “Jaws.”

The Australian government said in a statement that the man was singled out by a "biosecurity detector dog" trained to sniff out meat. When security inspected his backpack, they found two egg and beef sausage McMuffins from a Mcdonald's restaurant in Bali and a ham croissant. The man, who was not identified, faces a fine of $2664 (AUS) — equivalent to about $1843.45 USD — for the smuggled sandwiches.

It should be clear by this time that popularity has nothing to do with electability. Trump filled rally after rally in state after state with countless, full-house, full-stadium crowds, and such numbers do not lie. There really was a red wave in the midterms, but it was macro-engineered to a trickle, as should have been expected. The scam of “malfunctioning” voting machines, the shortage of paper ballots, the tsunami of mail-in and late ballots, the temporary closing and slow-downs of polling stations, and so on would have been sufficient to determine an electoral result. 2020 was an early run for 2022,
