Republican Rep. Bob Good of Virginia claimed that “10 to 15” Republicans would “block” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s bid to become speaker at Tuesday’s vote and hinted at a “true candidate” to potentially replace him.
“What we’ll do is we’ll block Kevin. There will be, I suspect, 10 to 15 members who will vote against him on the first ballot tomorrow, that will vote for Andy Biggs,” Good told “Fox and Friends” guest host Griff Jenkins Monday. “But then I think you will see on the second ballot, an increasing number of members vote for a true candidate who can represent the conservative center of the conference,

suppose, just suppose, the following:
1) our President is made Speaker,
2) diapers and mattressback are impeached and
3) our President becomes President
- that could happen in 2023 and
- the country is turned around and many of the bad guys and the RINO's are in Leavenworth
4) and our President is elected in 2024 for four more years
5) and in 2028 Ron DeSantis or Kari Lake are the repub nominees and win thereby the beginning of the Grand Resurgence of the Freedom, aka MAGA, party
Once we cripple the demcommie leadership, fair elections are upon us and we have stamped out Communism enough that we'll have to build another federal maximum prison to hold all the really, really bad guys and traitors

The Swamp is a powerful force, I was elated when Boehner went down only to be disgusted with the failings of Ryan. I pray the whomsoever gains the 218 is a loyal American with conservative values.

What are these fools thinking? Do they want to actually elect a democrat Speaker of the House? I have no love and even less confidence in Kevin McCarthy, but you do not blow up the chance to lead the House when you are in a minority inside your party. Of course, conservatives do not want McCarthy anywhere near the Speakership, but this is not the way. It would have been more beneficial to have put serious pressure on KM to concentrate on the issues that the American people want addressed in turn for your support. If we had a viable candidate for Speaker who had the support required, I would say fight to the death. We are not in there, and now we are in a no win situation.
Democrats are gleeful with this public brawl. They know Republicans cannot for the life of them, unite for the greater good. The fight should have been for more power for conservative members, a more conservative agenda, and most of all the will to do battle with the enemy across the aisle. McCarthy’s goal should be to lay down the law and make it clear that they are there to do the people’s business, not theirs. He is a weak candidate for Speaker but he is better than a democrat sitting in that seat. Come on, guys! We have to be smarter than this. While your heart is in the right place, the battle for the soul of this country is the most important thing. While storming hell with a squirt gun may be admirable, you must be smart. Vote for McCarthy and make it a priority to move other Republicans to your side. Work behind the scenes to recruit others to your side. This Kamikaze mission is not the way. Don’t give democrats the opportunity to turn this to their advantage.

Once again, the Republican circular firing squad is out in full force.
And #1, you are dreaming with your head in the clouds.

Is it possible to end up with a Democratic Speaker of the House if the Republicans cannot get on the same page? Speaker Hakeem Jeffries!

Yeah, Trump as the next Speaker...what world do people live in? Half the GOP contingent would vote for Pelosi first.

Hmmm. I wonder whether that 'true conservative' will be named John Kasich or Paul Ryan. If they're lucky, that's what they will get. (Otherwise, it'll be a Democrat.)

#3, I consider your kind of thinking and logic to be the reason why we are where we are now. If not now when? I do not subscribe to 'There's always tomorrow' thinking. When will be the best time?

Rep Good was my Congressman until today as his district was re-designed to ensure my majority Republican/conservative county would be part of a larger Democrat district. I support Rep Good and his voting record.
When Pelosi was trolling for votes as Speaker back in 2022 - she caved to The Squad and the extreme Left of her party and nary a peep about Democratic infighting. Funny that.

McCarthy already moved into the Speaker’s office. This could be entertaining. But also scary. If the Republicans allow a Democrat to end up Speaker they are finished. I hope they know that.

Urgent message from planet Earth. The easiest part of this whole "plan" is to get Trump as Speaker and that's not going to happen. And why is that the easiest part? Because, even if that DOES happen, and even if you DO get Biden and Harris impeached, to get Trump as President, you'd have to find 18 Senate DEMOCRATS to vote remove both Biden and Harris from office in order to make Trump president.

The lock-step Democrats always voted as if they were compromised, i.e. that Nancy knew too much about each of them. Clearly, they were as reliable a voting bloc as the North Korean Politburo. At least be thankful our party is led by temporary leaders, not permanent dons.

We thought we had won when Boehner was removed. But Ryan replaced him, and Ryan was as bad, or possibly a bit worse. And now McCarthy.....if he is removed, will he be replaced with worse?
Seems like a real probability. The Deep State will NOT be denied control.

Those trying to draft Trump as speaker must be unaware or dismissive that he is openly supporting McCarthy for the job. I guess the Trump supporters really limit their support for Trump below their own cleverness. The Andy Biggs crew have the same level of tactical awareness as did one George A. Custer.
