Matt Gaetz Throws Down the Gauntlet, Wants
Kevin McCarthy Evicted From Speaker's Office

Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz decided to play hardball Tuesday evening, writing to the Architect of the Capitol that Kevin McCarthy should not be allowed to occupy the physical office of the Speaker of the House considering that he just lost three consecutive votes for the position: (Tweet) “The Speaker of the House Office in the Capitol is currently being occupied by Kevin McCarthy,” Gaetz wrote. “Kevin McCarthy is not the Speaker of the House. He lost 3 consecutive votes today. I’m demanding answers from the Architect of the Capitol.” McCarthy has been operating out of the Speaker’s office during his attempts to win the job.

If McCarthy is so presumptuous and arrogant as to cockily move into the Speaker's office before even the first vote, one can only imagine what sort of games he'll play if he does get the gavel.

What about Kevin McCarthy's ego? If Gaetz is going to be compared to a chihuahua, McCarthy is a bull dog. If all of it is true, he intimidated others into voting for him and makes preparations to move into the Speaker's Office. I don't mind Kevin McCarthy taken down a notch or two. I think all politicians need it - they have become bloated, gluttonous, self-serving and lean on their own understanding. Rather than serving the American people, we are at the mercy of their policies. We don't even have a snowball's chance of addressing election fraud and the debt is sky high. I think it is about time that ALL politicians realize that just because they won their political seat, they are NOT some sort of god. They all seem to act like it. Same with celebrities, CEO's, etc., etc.

McCarthy has no business occupying that office without being elected as Speaker. That arrogance is part of why he isn’t being elected. I support the resistance as long as it doesn’t result in a Democrat Speaker. That is a real possibility the longer this goes on.

Gaetz has been right on every charge he has made against McCarthy, including the one that there is no plan to fix out of control spending, close the border, or address the neutering of all member Republicans by total leadership control of the party, with the member unable to vote their leadership out, amend bills, force floor votes, or even issue a subpoena without a Ryan type approval. McCarthy is endorsed by McConnell, and everyone knows why.

Thomas Jefferson said, "The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield, and government to gain ground," and that has been borne out by history with the few bright exceptions in which a society demanded the freedom to live as they ought. The founding of the United States of America was one of those bright moments. Often described as an experiment, it was one of the most improbable series of events in history in which a people threw off the shackles of their government and sought out to see if they could rule themselves. As we saw, the experiment was difficult to replicate.

Biden also made remarks about the border, with Kamala Harris trying to hold it together while standing behind him. The remarks were just a confused mess. Biden didn’t seem to have any idea what he was talking about. He didn’t know what “CBP” stands for, that it is Title 8 that applies to immigration, or that Title 42 has helped to prevent the situation at the border from getting much worse. His “plan” seems to be an app that would help people who apply for asylum.

Under Democrat rule, 2.2 million illegal migrants have overrun the border in fiscal year 2022, a 33 percent increase from 2021. “I sent congress a comprehensive piece of legislation that would completely overhaul what has been a broken immigration system for a long time,” Biden said.
