Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz decided to play hardball Tuesday evening, writing to the Architect of the Capitol that Kevin McCarthy should not be allowed to occupy the physical office of the Speaker of the House considering that he just lost three consecutive votes for the position: (Tweet) “The Speaker of the House Office in the Capitol is currently being occupied by Kevin McCarthy,” Gaetz wrote. “Kevin McCarthy is not the Speaker of the House. He lost 3 consecutive votes today. I’m demanding answers from the Architect of the Capitol.”
McCarthy has been operating out of the Speaker’s office during his attempts to win the job.

I’m no fan of McCarthy but Gaetz is really getting on my nerves. He reminds me of a chihuahua…bark, bark, bark.

If McCarthy is so presumptuous and arrogant as to cockily move into the Speaker's office before even the first vote, one can only imagine what sort of games he'll play if he does get the gavel.

This goes right along with McCarthy saying he has "earned the right" to be speaker.

What about Kevin McCarthy's ego? If Gaetz is going to be compared to a chihuahua, McCarthy is a bull dog. If all of it is true, he intimidated others into voting for him and makes preparations to move into the Speaker's Office.
I don't mind Kevin McCarthy taken down a notch or two. I think all politicians need it - they have become bloated, gluttonous, self-serving and lean on their own understanding. Rather than serving the American people, we are at the mercy of their policies. We don't even have a snowball's chance of addressing election fraud and the debt is sky high.
I think it is about time that ALL politicians realize that just because they won their political seat, they are NOT some sort of god. They all seem to act like it. Same with celebrities, CEO's, etc., etc.

Remember how Republicans used to resign at the drop of a dime for the good of the team? Kevin could withdraw himself from consideration for the good of the country.

A libturd move indicating entitlement.
By their fruit you shall know them.
He and other rinoz believe his coronation is a done deal.
He should be disqualified immediately for this alone.
American Patriots are finished being skrewed around with.
ALL RINOZ ARE TO BE REMOVED BY ANY AND ALL MEANS.

McCarthy is claiming squatter's rights. This occupation was a dumb and irritating thing to do. So was claiming that he had "earned" the job. He's acting like a more male version of Hillary Clinton.

McCarthy has no business occupying that office without being elected as Speaker. That arrogance is part of why he isn’t being elected. I support the resistance as long as it doesn’t result in a Democrat Speaker. That is a real possibility the longer this goes on.

Additionally he is on film in the Congress sporting the Ukrainian flag and photographed yucking it up with the Biden's.
Believe what your eyes behold.
He is not an America First patriot.
He is NOT a public servant he is a parasite bleeding American Patriots to death.
This isn't rocket science. Sometimes things are exactly what they appear to be.

Gaetz has been right on every charge he has made against McCarthy, including the one that there is no plan to fix out of control spending, close the border, or address the neutering of all member Republicans by total leadership control of the party, with the member unable to vote their leadership out, amend bills, force floor votes, or even issue a subpoena without a Ryan type approval. McCarthy is endorsed by McConnell, and everyone knows why.

I have supported Matt Gaetz both politically and financially - until today. I admire his resolve but, really, risk installing a democrat speaker?? That's nuts!

Remember, the GOP exists to keep conservatives from exercising power. What the 20 Republicans are doing is using the power given to them — and it’s about damn time!

I’m in no position to question Gaetz’s motives, but his behavior toward McCarthy is beginning to remind me of Liz Cheney’s behavior toward President Trump.

If I was the House minority leader, I would have my entire caucus vote for Jim Jordan.
Why you ask...... Because installing Jordan as speaker would remove the most effective republican from the House Oversight Committee. And prevent him from serving on any committee.

Imagine the outrage from our side if Pelsoi had moved into the Speaker's office prematurely.
BTW - just heard ex Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) on Newsmax attack the no voters for McCarthy as simply out for personal fortune and fame. Pretty pathetic and a cheap shot Senator - as if you and everyone else in the Congress doesn't self-promote.
