GOP Can’t Be Successful Until Mitch
McConnell Is Gone

Original Article

Comments Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell made on Tuesday show why he has become the single biggest obstacle to GOP success. The Kentucky Republican claimed giving more money to Ukraine is “the No. 1 priority for the United States right now, according to most Republicans.” The new $1.7 trillion Democrat spending bill he enthusiastically supports would give Ukraine another roughly $45 billion in assistance, bringing the total over the past eight months to more than $100 billion, a staggering figure even if it weren’t happening during a time of inflation, looming recession, and other serious domestic problems. The comment about Republican priorities is so false as to be completely delusional.

$113 billion is a lot of money to spread around into everyone's pockets. Unless you're an American in which case you're the sucker paying for everyone else as our economy collapses. I do not include the current batch of Senators who wrote up and support this monstrosity as Americans. They're getting their pockets filled. Traitors. Every last one of them.

Kentucky votes for Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell? Polar opposites? Mitch is the beneficiary of election theft, so obvious. I hope Mollie has a food taster and good body guards. The deep state has its ways of dealing with non-compliance.

The Republicans’ Mitch McConnell Problem 29 replies

One of the annoying tendencies of our conservative-populist movement is to conflate objective evaluations of individuals in the arena with the approval of those individuals. For years, I have found Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell to be a frustrating and imperious charter member of the GOP establishment while simultaneously being the best parliamentary leader we have had in living memory. He has done important things for the movement. I get a lot of grief for saying, “You must love Mitch!” but that’s fine. We need to be objective instead of emotional – we’re not Democrats. And he was objectively skilled and effective once upon a time.

Poor Kamala Harris. The press refuses to focus on “the strength of my leadership,” as the veep puts it, denying her the attention she deserves. OK, we’ll give you a minute to stop laughing. Harris has made zero progress on her top priority — stopping the flood of migrants rushing the border, supposedly by addressing “root causes” in their native countries — yet apparently she thinks she’s been an important leader in other ways. Such as her role at the Munich Security Conference in February just before Russia invaded Ukraine, as the Washington Post’s Jonathan Capehart bizarrely suggested. Trouble is, she did little there besides getting mocked for claiming Europe

Twitter went into an uproar and multiple news outlets ran headlines suggesting that Mike Pence had entered the 2024 race on Monday evening after a "statement of candidacy" was filed with the FEC on his behalf, but a spokesperson for the former Vice President confirmed that Pence did not file paperwork to run for president. "Former Vice President Mike Pence did not file to run for President today," spokesman Devin O'Malley tweeted, later suggesting that someone "pranked" pundits and journalists. A spokesperson for the FEC said that they cannot comment on specific filings, but noted that the agency has a process for reviewing potentially fake or fictitious forms.

The huge changes to our country that seemed hard to believe were happening in 2021 have only worsened and become the new norm in 2022 — serious crimes get a free pass, millions of illegal immigrants flow across our borders, record national debt and inflation burn away our dollars, and censorship worsens. This year also included Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, so add the threat of nuclear war to that list of the new awful. The good news from this year is brief but heartening: Covid-19 seems mostly behind us, Roe v. The life expectancy for the average U.S. citizen has hit a 25-year low, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Life expectancy for people born in the U.S. during 2021 stands at 76.4 years, the lowest on record since 1996. Life expectancy for those born in 2019 was 78.8 years — a drop of 2.4 years, according to CDC data. This marks a dramatic reversal from the steady growth in expected longevity of U.S. citizens for the past two decades. CDC officials blamed the drop on two factors — the COVID-19 pandemic and a rapidly growing epidemic of substance abuse and drug addiction.

"They are probing & pushing everywhere." That line sums up an increasingly alarming element in the seventh installment of the so-called "Twitter files." "They" were the agents of Federal Bureau of Investigation, and they were pushing for the censorship of citizens in an array of stories. Writer Michael Shellenberger added critical details on how the FBI was directly engaged in censorship at the company. However, this batch of documents contains a particularly menacing element to the FBI-Twitter censorship alliance. The documents show what writer Shellenberger described as a concentrated effort "to discredit leaked information about Hunter Biden before and after it was published."
The Jan. 6 Committee's Referral Is Unconstitutional 24 replies
Posted by Moritz55 12/21/2022 10:40:20 AM Post Reply
The Jan. 6 Committee has voted to refer former President Donald Trump to the Justice Department for possible criminal prosecution. This referral violates both the letter and spirit of the Constitution for at least two reasons. First, Article 1 of the Constitution grants Congress "all legislative powers" and only "legislative powers." Under our system of separation of powers, the power to prosecute lies exclusively with the executive branch through the justice department. Congress has no authority to refer specific individuals for prosecution. It is beyond the scope of its constitutional authority. Second, Congress is specifically denied the power to pass any "bill of attainder."

Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, ripped into the media after a veteran ABC journalist suggested Republicans' rhetoric is partially to blame for the crisis at the southern border. Abbott responded Tuesday to a clip from his interview with Martha Raddatz after she said she had never heard President Biden use the term "open border" while instead recounting such rhetoric from Abbott, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and former President Donald Trump. Abbott told "Jesse Watters Primetime" that Raddatz's claim that such messaging "reverberates in Mexico and beyond" while being acted upon by cartel smugglers is simply untrue. "It's just crazy to suggest anything like that," he said.

The midterm elections were closer than expected with Republicans seizing a slim majority in the House of Representatives and Democrats retaining narrow Senate control. That presents an opportunity for the GOP if it plays it right. Although the widely anticipated “red wave” didn’t materialize, the political and economic situation is the same. The Biden administration has no effective plans to address record inflation or improve the economic outlook. Those fundamentals will continue to plague Biden and Washington Democrats, who appear to want to continue their progressive policies. The shift in House control provides an opportunity for the business community and the House GOP to work together to chart a new course.

After their meal, Villa locked the doors of his truck so his young victim couldn’t escape and violently raped the girl. He then forced her to clean her own blood from his truck.

Travelers will need to obtain a negative PCR test within 48 hours of departure, it said. Currently, travelers entering China need to undergo five days of mandatory quarantine in an approved facility, followed by three days at home.
