Over the Christmas weekend four different power plants in Washington state were sabotaged, cutting power for thousands of residents in frigid winter temperatures.
"The search continued Monday for vandals who targeted four power substations on Christmas Day in Pierce County, Washington, setting fire to at least one of the facilities and knocking out power to more than 14,000 utility customers, authorities said,"ABC News reports. "Two of the break-ins were at Tacoma Public Utilities substations and two others were at a Puget Sound Energy station, according to the sheriff's office in Pierce County, which encompasses Tacoma. No arrests have been announced."

Cameras are so cheap.
Why haven't they been caught, at least, on tape and shown on the news until they are all caught for real?

Taking into account the current weather, would this not be attempted murder?

While a good idea, cameras usually show blurry images of disguised perps after the damage is done. I'm sure anyone could come up with a device to blow up infrastructure in a few seconds, and most (all?) of these facilities are in remote areas with no observation.

Substations are NOT "power plants". Substations have transformers which change the voltage level of the power. Power is transmitted long distances at very high voltage, to reduce the size of wire required to an economically sensible size. Then closer to the end user, it may go from 230,000 volts to maybe 5,000 volts, in transformers located at a neighborhood substation. And then that 18" diameter by 3 foot tall cylinder on the pole (or green box on the ground) is another transformer which drops it from maybe 5,000 volts to 220 volts to go into your home.
So.....the ecoterrorists want to go far enough "upstream" from homes to take out a large number of homes. Destroy that transformer on the pole may only affect a few homes, no fun in that. But that neighborhood substation, of which there are hundreds in a city, is both too numerous to be well guarded, and has enough customers "downstream" to make an impact when they damage transformers.
This is ecoterrorists, guaranteed. And it will be INCREASING, not decreasing. Having your own generator on a pad outside your home is going to become nearly mandatory, it would seem. The econazis do NOT approve of you having normal electrical power. And they will use violence to make sure that you freeze in the dark.
This will continue until we kill enough of them that they stop. Might take ALL of them.

I agree, #6. It’s eco-terrorists, not right-wing domestic terrorists.

This isn't random. And it's not a bunch of wayward juveniles.
It's planned, organized sabotage by leftists and radical environmentalist terrorist groups.

It couldn't possibly be the work of foreign terrorists flowing over our borders, then flown throughout the country on the taxpayers dime. Mayorkas has assured us that our borders are secure.

“Authorities” were quite able to arrest unarmed trespassers while their agents killed protesters. Burt they are UNABLE to stop THIS?

They need to put security around those plants and maybe enforce the law when these thugs get caught.

In case you missed it earlier this month LSM's already started the narrative that this is being done to keep drag-queen shows out of libraries. And this is not from The Onion or Babylon Bee

Here's a solution: Automatic Death Penalty if caught, and convicted.
Zero tolerance for Terrorism, regardless of whether its promoting Islam, or a "green earth" agenda. Threatening society with death and inconvenience carries a massive "price." Is it worth becoming an "Eco-Martyr?" I bet not.

It appears this country could certainly use the billions that have been sent to Ukraine to secure our energy operations and beef up the grid. Seems to me this is a matter of national security.
Face it, democrats won’t be happy until this country looks like any third world nation that we see on the nightly news in a death spiral. The arrogant and entitled left will be secure in their warm comfortable mansions while the rest of us live in chaos and violence. Will that be the trigger that finally moves the great unwashed masses to rebel? The left is playing a very dangerous game. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Looks like these eco-crazies got finally bored with setting forest fires. Just a matter of time before one of them gets french-fried at a substation.

Every min mart and gas station in the country has a CCTV camera running 24/7. Some have armed security. Critical infrastructure sites do NOT? At some point you have to wonder if they WANT these targets attacked when they remain "soft" targets.

An eye for an eye. This type of action causes death to consumers -- so an eye for an eye. Forget the formal actions of arrest, bail, 10 years on death row. Give instant gratification to the terrorists,

this admin budgets money to infiltrate, coerce and fund normally harmless right wing nut groups to kidnap dim governors and encourage Capitol "parades".. the budget does not includecany line item for eco-nut, Islamic, marxist nor left wing activities.

Shouldn't the castle doctrine apply to efforts to deprive my castle of water and electricity and basic utilities?
