Racism raises Alzheimer’s risk for non-white
Americans, HHS says

Original Article

“Entrenched systemic racism” is a significant risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease and dementia in non-white Americans, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) claimed in its 2022 update on how to fight the disease. The HHS’ “National Plan to Address Alzheimer’s Disease” said black, Hispanic and low-income populations are more likely to face health-related risk factors that contribute to Alzheimer’s and said this disparity is due to “structural inequities” that are the result of racism.

Comments:

There is no systemic racism in America. That is a hoax being pushed by Democrat politicians… if America is so systemically racist why is every race in the world fighting to come into this country?!! For example…America has or had a black US President, US Vice President, Presidential cabinet members, US Senators, US Congressman, Supreme court justices, Governors, Mayors, Police Commissioners, Fire Commissioners, Circuit Court Judges, District Court Judges, Attorneys, Surgeons, Doctors, Astronauts, Generals, Admirals, CEOs, Sports stars, and millions upon millions of small business owners, etc., etc., etc. There is no systemic racism!

Wow, I already knew math was racist. And water, merit, achievement, IQ, 401k, saving for the future, and the SAT. So, it’s only logical a disease condition caused by a combination of genetic bad luck and life choices (typically food and exercise, but perhaps also infection) is also racist.

Crackpot on steroids. Talk about racism - I know a local man (black) who owns his own successful small business and is building his dream home. He is from Boston and all his siblings are lawyers and other white collar types. They don't like him at all because his wife is white. He and his wife are happily married and love each other and she is a teacher. He is loyal and faithful to his wife. Her family loves him. Now who is the racist here?

Wokeness comes to Alzheimer's! I guess racism is why so many white people contract it. Maybe it’s a form of punishment. Medicine doesn’t know what causes it, and now they come up with this nonsense. Does anybody take this seriously? All of this nonsense is a result of people in all organizations who are practicing job security because there’s too much fat in them and these excess workers have nothing to do but come up with this crap. The actual medical cause of Alzheimers is unknown,, but there are associations that may correlate to occurence. Significant associations are found in age, gender, and genetics. But even these are not causal, any more than (since we have more cars on the road than in 1900, and we are living longer, cars must be increasing life span. So what we have here is another magic marker by bozo report, HHS not able to provide a cause but willing to shift blame. Artificial legs exist for people with failed legs, artificial hearts for those with failed hearts. It appears that artificial intelligence may be needed for the manifold brain failures at HHE

There is one way to end racism instantly. Some Pubbie should propose an Emergency End to Systemic Racism Bill beginning JAN 1 2023. Similar to government-issued free Covid tests, we will be supplied with government-issued free burkhas. Nobody will know who or what anybody is and in a flash, skin color or social identity will have no bearing on anything. El fin! Sometimes you have to propose preposterous stuff to counter the preposterous stuff going on all around you.

OP, there is a fair amount of systemic racism in America. It’s the Democrat Party. Founded by Andrew Jackson, a truly cruel slave owner and fake populist, best known for expansion of slavery and the Trail of Tears. The Democrats went on to beat a man half to death in the Senate, then have an insurrection in the form of the Civil War to keep their slaves. They tricked poor white people jnto dying for them. After they lost, the Democrats formed the KKK and put into place gun laws and other Jim Crow laws to keep blacks disarmed. Things slowly were getting better for the former slaves of the Democrats, so Democrat Woodrow Wilson restarted the Klan and also started to target Jews and others for subjugation. Used WWI to dispose of uppity poor whites. WWII threw a kink I their plans, but FDR did his best (with the NYT) to help Hitler until the Japanese messed up his plans. Still, never ones to let a crisis go to waste, they used WWII and the Depression their policies caused to create an unaccountable fourth branch of government that could continue to push policies to protect the elite and keep blacks and others enslaved. Then Johnson, with his “Great Society” entrapped blacks and others into bottomless cycle of economic slavery. Still, they fight their way out, so now they import millions of brown slaves from South America. They’ll keep them down by not letting them learn English. And keep their wages down by never stopping the spigot of marginal workers. Democrats are economically illiterate, but the bosses know that endless supply keeps the cost down. So there you are: actual institutional racism.

They drink too much, they smoke too much, they do dangerous drugs, they do not eat right, they do not exercise. Those things are their responsibility. Research shows that older Latinos are about one-and-a-half times as likely as older whites to have Alzheimer’s and other dementias, while older African-Americans are about twice as likely to have the disease as older whites. The reason for these differences is not well understood, but researchers believe that higher rates of vascular disease in these groups may also put them at greater risk for developing Alzheimer’s. https://www.alz.org/alzheimers-dementia/what-is-alzheimers/causes-and-risk-factors Vascular disease. But I digress, there’s a lot more to the FTX scandal than just Bankman-Fried’s fate, and one of the more interesting aspects of the entire ordeal is just how close many Democrats were to him. In fact, according to Politico, a Democrat operative and close advisor

A nationwide shoplifting epidemic is crippling the finances of brick-and-mortar retailers, which warn that they may be forced to raise prices or even shutter stores in order to offset tens of billions of dollars in lost inventory. The National Retail Foundation is estimating that it lost $94.5 billion last year due to “shrink” — an industry term that means lost inventory — which is being blamed primarily on shoplifting, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Democrat Senator Chris Coons (DE) on Friday admitted he doesn’t even know what’s in the $1,7 trillion Omnibus spending bill. The $1.7 trillion Pelosi-Schumer spending bill passed the senate this week 68-29. The bill is more than 4,000 pages. Both chambers of Congress rammed the bill through without reading any of it or debating. There is zero funding for the border wall but Ukraine gets another $45 billion. “Well, Joe, I voted for the omnibus and I’m proud to support it, but I don’t like the process. A bipartisan group of senators on the floor of the Senate were talking about how we can change this process going forward because frankly,

I don’t know exactly when I became a fan of Charlie Brown and the “Peanuts” characters, but I can remember them being a huge part of my elementary school years, along with a group of friends who loved the comic strip. One thing I do know: A Charlie Brown Christmas has always been a part of my holiday celebrations, including this Christmas. Every year growing up, we would watch A Charlie Brown Christmas when it came on television. It was always on CBS, and Peter Paul candies sponsored it — I still remember the York Peppermint Patty and “Sometimes you feel like a nut” commercials.

President Joe Biden’s administration reportedly failed to send National Guard troops their final paycheck of the year during the week of Christmas, according to a letter sent to troops obtained by The Post Millennial. The National Guard troops’ paychecks were disrupted due to congressional drama surrounding the $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill that Congress recently approved. After weeks of negotiation, Congress came to a deal on the omnibus spending package. Included in the spending bill is, among other things, a $45 billion aid package for Ukraine. The $45 billion is on top of the $66 billion taxpayer dollars that have already been used to fund Ukrainian aid.

Substack writer Matt Taibbi released the latest installment of the "Twitter Files" on Christmas Eve, detailing that coordination between the tech giant and government agencies went way beyond the FBI. In a massive series of tweets, Taibbi insisted that the FBI was simply the "doorman to a vast program of social media surveillance and censorship, encompassing agencies across the federal government – from the State Department to the Pentagon to the CIA." The journalist explained that Twitter had so many interactions with OGAs (or "other government agencies" as they are called in the tweets), the company couldn’t keep them all straight: He explained, "Twitter had so much contact with so

The old farmer was there with Washington when he crossed a frozen Delaware River in blizzard-like conditions on Christmas 1776. And so the photographer took a daguerreotype photo of Conrad Heyer in 1852, who 103 years early was the first European child born in Waldoboro, Maine. At 24, he had enlisted in the Continental Army and spent 1776 with Washington, whose rag-tag army went from victory in Boston to defeat in New York to a daring raid and stunning victory in the Battle of Trenton (snip)On December 25, 1776, Heyer participated in the Most American Christmas Ever when Washington crossed the Delaware River, raided Trenton and caught 1,400 Hessian troops

President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden met with patients at Children’s National Hospital in Washington on Friday, carrying on a longstanding tradition during the holiday season. The first couple, sporting cloth masks, met with pediatric patients, their families and hospital staff, greeting leadership and emergency department workers. Dr. Biden read Ezra Jack Keats’ “The Snowy Day” before the Bidens visited with children and their families in the cardiac intensive care unit. “Thanks for coming and listening to me read and have the president hold the book,” she said after reading, as Biden deadpanned, “It’s my job.”
