The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reportedly removed statistics on defensive gun use in the U.S. following pressure from gun control advocates. The stats sourced from a CDC-commissioned study finding that instances of defensive gun use occur between 60,000 and 2.5 million times per year. References to that study were deleted from the site following private meetings with gun control advocates in 2021, emails obtained and published by The Reload show. "[T]hat 2.5 Million number needs to be killed, buried, dug up, killed again and buried again,"

In reporting guns stopping attacks The CDC’s been rather lax And it seems the new role They play in gun control Is control of embarrassing facts

As usual, CDC is lying to us and hiding the truth, working for some other interest group, NOT the American people. So working for antigun extremists or Pfizer mass murderers.....same, same. Prof. Gary Kleck originally developed that 2.5 million number decades ago. And his methodology and his numbers have withstood repeated intensive, near hysterical attacks by anti-gun loons for decades. His methods have been validated and his results duplicated repeatedly. The 2.5 million is a peak, with the average per year being probably closer to 500,000 times per year. I personally know of several folks who used a gun to avoid a violent confrontation....and no shots were fired, and no police report. In each case there was a verbal threat, and a gun pulled, and the person threatening immediately left the scene at max speed. This is probabl something that happens pretty damned often, and will only be discovered by Kleck's research methods.

t the present trend continues, there will soon be more than 2.5 million defensive uses annually. People are arming up, as they should. No normal person wants self or family to be an unarmed victim of an increasingly immoral and delusional population. Thanks, Joe.

Same groups "Demanded" the CDC begin treating gun issues as a "Disease" to begin with. coincidentally, while cleaning out a file box last week, I came across John Lotts original white paper study "Crime,Deterrence, and Right to Carry Concealed Handguns" pre publication Aug 15, 1996. (It was handed to me personally by Lott, I was working for the Dole Campaign at the time) Same groups immediately attacked it then.

It is Disease Control not bullet wound control. #9 is right. CDC wants to regulate wounds as diseases and outlaw guns and bullets.

The Democratic-led House Ways and Means Committee released a report on former President Donald Trump's taxes Tuesday after voting to make public six years' worth of the former president's tax returns, the culmination of a years-long quest from House Democrats to obtain the former president's taxes. The panel approved a motion on a party-line vote to release the materials to the House, clearing the way for Trump's tax returns to be released publicly within a matter of days. The vote was approved with all Democrats voting in favor and all Republicans voting no. Shortly after the vote, the committee released a report on the failures of the presidential audit program along

Elon Musk said on Tuesday he will step down as chief executive of Twitter after finding a replacement. “I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams,” Musk wrote on Twitter. This is the first time Musk has mentioned stepping down as chief of the social media platform, after Twitter users voted decisively in a poll for him to step down, which the billionaire launched on Sunday evening. Wall Street calls for Musk to step down had been growing for weeks and recently even Tesla Inc bulls have questioned his focus

No one can talk to anyone else. It’s too loud for that, what with the electronic drum, the incessant rapping. The rap is supposed to inspire twerking—and tens. Tonight, no one’s twerking. Tory Williams is alone at the bar in fishnets and boots. She should be mixing drinks. “Did you vote in the recent election?” I write in my notebook, then pass it to her. She nods.

Governor Greg Abbott deployed 400 Texas National Guard troops to El Paso in preparation of Title 42 ending and the current on-going crisis of illegal migrants flooding into the city. Thousands of illegal migrants crossed into El Paso last week and city resources are overwhelmed. The increased presence of the Texas National Guard is to protect El Paso and stop illegal migrants from continuing to cross the border. Title 42 is scheduled to end on Wednesday. Chief Justice John Roberts issued an order to stay the lifting of Title 42 on Monday at the request of 19 Republican-led states.

Twitter worked with the Pentagon to promote fake accounts in the Middle East which praised U.S. policy, it has emerged - despite the social media company insisting that it made 'concerted efforts' to 'detect and thwart government-backed platform manipulation'. The collusion spanned at least four years, from 2017 to 2020, and saw top Twitter executives liaise with military intelligence on 'a covert online PsyOp campaign' - promoting accounts including one that claimed the U.S. drone bombings in Yemen killed only terrorists. The revelations were made by Lee Fang, who on Tuesday published the eighth installment of what is termed the Twitter Files.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky is planning to visit Washington on Wednesday and may meet US President Joe Biden, reports say. It would be his first foreign trip since the Russian invasion in February. Mr Zelensky could also address Congress, unnamed officials told US media. There is no official confirmation of the visit or the plans. A visit would be fraught with security concerns - meaning plans could likely change at short notice. In a letter on Tuesday, Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi urged members of Congress to be in attendance on Wednesday night.

Fact check: Apparently true on the first, and a healthy “we’ll see” on the second. Whatever else Elon Musk may have had in mind for Twitter, his concerns over censorship have clearly remained paramount since taking ownership. As we reported, the latest Twitter files revealed that the FBI pushed Twitter and other social media to squash the Hunter Biden laptop story without any evidence that it was a foreign operation and that they arranged for Top Secret security clearances for executives of Twitter to see some of the information that they wanted them to pursue regarding election “threats.” That was a far cry from the disclaimer the FBI issued last week when the Twitter files started dropping. They said that they just provided information to Twitter and that whatever Twitter did with it was their own business. But it gets worse.

To be absolutely fair, Joe Biden has said a lot of things that are just not true. However, if this newly-surfaced video is Biden being honest, then perhaps there is hope that not everything will be ruined by 2024. The Biden administration has wanted to rekindle an old flame in the Iran nuclear deal established by Barack Obama and undone by Donald Trump. However, there hasn’t been much of an opportunity for it, considering all of the issues the administration has had to deal with. Crisis after crisis have and are continuing to dominate their resources, so the Iran deal has been repeatedly pushed to the side.

Per RedState’s Sunday evening reporting, Elon Musk put out a poll asking if he should step down from Twitter, promising to abide by the result. Well, the result is now in, and a majority believe the newsmaking billionaire should go focus more on Tesla and SpaceX. (Tweet) 61 percent say Musk should “step down as head of Twitter.” That’s not surprising given that Twitter has always been a majority left-wing site. When talking about a poll that got that much play, there was no chance the result would be anything different. In response, some are claiming Musk made a mistake, effectively “owning” himself in the process.

The January 6 committee on Monday referred former president Donald Trump to the Department of Justice for prosecution on four charges related to his conduct leading up to and during the riot that occurred in the Capitol in the wake of his defeat in the 2020 presidential election. The referrals include obstruction of an official proceeding, conspiracy to defraud the U.S., making a false statement, and inciting an insurrection, the last of which could disqualify Trump from holding public office in the future. Trump attempted to “disrupt the peaceful transition of power” in a grave betrayal of duty as outlined in the “take care” clause of the Constitution and in a “crime

Mitch McConnell has a 33 percent approval rating, the lowest in the US Senate and yet he was reelected as GOP Leader with 37 votes to 10 votes for Senator Scott. The Senate Republicans REALLY, really hate their base. The bill gives another $44.9 billion to Ukraine — where it disappears into the ether. The bill also makes it impossible for Americans to challenge a stolen election.

The current pathologies are not a result of a natural disaster, an exhaustion of natural resources, plagues, or an existential war. Crushing national debt and annual deficits, spiraling food and fuel costs amid “normal” seven-percent-plus annual inflation, bread-and-circuses entitlements, a nonexistent border, a resurgence of racial tribalism, pandemic violent criminality, and humiliation abroad—all these pathologies are easily cited as symptoms of a sick patient. The question in the title needs, I believe, critical examination. Why DOES the Left hate Trump so much? The answer, as usual, can largely be found by analyzing history. But first. Do they hate him because the average price of a gallon of gas in his administration was far lower than under Biden? Is it because inflation was low (around 2%) and trending downward? Is it that the USA was energy independent and didn’t need to beg our enemies for oil, deplete our strategic oil reserve or sell it to China? Is it because black and Hispanic unemployment was lower than at any time in history?
