The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reportedly removed statistics on defensive gun use in the U.S. following pressure from gun control advocates. The stats sourced from a CDC-commissioned study finding that instances of defensive gun use occur between 60,000 and 2.5 million times per year. References to that study were deleted from the site following private meetings with gun control advocates in 2021, emails obtained and published by The Reload show. The Democratic-led House Ways and Means Committee released a report on former President Donald Trump's taxes Tuesday after voting to make public six years' worth of the former president's tax returns, the culmination of a years-long quest from House Democrats to obtain the former president's taxes.
The panel approved a motion on a party-line vote to release the materials to the House, clearing the way for Trump's tax returns to be released publicly within a matter of days. The vote was approved with all Democrats voting in favor and all Republicans voting no.

Governor Greg Abbott deployed 400 Texas National Guard troops to El Paso in preparation of Title 42 ending and the current on-going crisis of illegal migrants flooding into the city. Thousands of illegal migrants crossed into El Paso last week and city resources are overwhelmed.
The increased presence of the Texas National Guard is to protect El Paso and stop illegal migrants from continuing to cross the border. Title 42 is scheduled to end on Wednesday. Chief Justice John Roberts issued an order to stay the lifting of Title 42 on Monday at the request of 19 Republican-led states.

They said that they just provided information to Twitter and that whatever Twitter did with it was their own business.

Perhaps you’ve seen the story on the Wall Street Journal editorial page today (or in some other outlet where it is booming this morning) about Stanford University’s “Elimination of Harmful Language Initiative,” which reads like a parody of our idiotic woke university culture today. But no—Stanford employed a task force that worked for months to advocate that no one on campus use the word “American” because “This term often refers to people from the United States only, thereby insinuating that the US is the most important country in the Americas. . .”

Well, the result is now in, and a majority believe the newsmaking billionaire should go focus more on Tesla and SpaceX. But first. Do they hate him because the average price of a gallon of gas in his administration was far lower than under Biden? Is it because inflation was low (around 2%) and trending downward? Is it that the USA was energy independent and didn’t need to beg our enemies for oil, deplete our strategic oil reserve or sell it to China? Is it because black and Hispanic unemployment was lower than at any time in history?
