Harvard Law School Professor Alan Dershowitz denounced the Jan. 6 committee as a “kangaroo court” that produced a worthless report that should be “thrown in the wastebasket.”
In an interview Monday evening on Newsmax TV, the eminent lawyer said that “not only is [the Justice Department] not obligated to do anything, it is obligated not to do anything” in response to the panel’s recommendations Monday that former President Donald Trump be prosecuted.
According to Mr. Dershowitz, the panel operated against the spirit of one of only two civil-liberties provisions in the original Constitution,

The Demon-Rats and RINO's on this committee just wanted to appease their brain-dead lie-beral base voters by writing up charges they want to see President Trump tried for after their Soviet-style show trial.
But the last thing they want is for the Dept of Justice to actually take President Trump to trial. Because at a real trial, President Trump's lawyers can call witnesses (like Nancy Pelosi) to testify under oath, and produce honest evidence of the truth!!! And that would make the Demon-Rats and RINO's look evil and deceptive as they truly are!!!

Will someone please inform Mr. Dershowitz that the DOJ is a lawless agency no longer interested in the law. Garland is a rogue AG interested in one thing only the prosecution of former President Donald J. Trump. He cannot be trusted to make a decision based upon the Constitution or rule of law. He has moved on to using the dogma of the democrat party as a basis upon which to charge the former President.

Given that the country is falling apart, I don't think the American public will much care what happens here. A long, useless trial against a former president will not pay their bills. On top of that, a big time recession is coming.

Trump has to be the most investigated person in US history.
He is not beholden nor subjugated to the political organized crime establishment and it terrifies the swamp creatures.

Dershowitz, glad hear you say this. Now then, a simple question for you. When the US House files Articles of Impeachment to the Senate next year for biden the cheater being on the take with the chicoms when he was vp, can we expect you to agree with the pubbie-controlled House on this? No biggie, just wondering how much of a dim you really are.

The Dems certainly do not want this to go to trial. Everything would be exposed. They were planning to drag the smear out through 2023 and 2024, but the midterms got in the way. Now, rest assured the GOP will fumble the ball.

#15 has it exactly right. This was never meant to go to trial where the truth would come out. It was supposed to be politically damaging and it backfired because everyone knows it’s political and no one cares except the koolaid drinkers and basement dwellers.

Remember the "Star Trek" episode where the Klingons and humans were fighting it out all the while being controlled by an unseen malignant entity?
Then Kang, played by Michael Ansara, got on the ship's intercom saying, "This is Kang. Cease hostilities. Disarm."
If Trump made any such announcement, it would imply that these were his warriors fighting under his direction. No intervention would have worked
after the flash grenades, smoke bombs, and police batons start to fly.

#2, I don't believe these swamp creatures would tell the truth, even under oath, because their version of the truth has nothing to do with reality. See "What Happened" by Clinton, Hillary R. Large factions of the federal government such as the democrat congress, the state department and the intelligence agencies lie every day in the course of their jobs. That's why they have security clearances, to protect them from the people to whom they lie. Now we have a fake president and his media mouthpiece following that same pattern of performance.

That won't stop our corrupt AG and a DC jury from indicting Trump and convicting him. Never forget - George Floyd died of a fentanyl overdose, and would have died if he had just sat in his car, yet Derek Chauvin is in prison for his murder

Well the way things work with the DC “UniParty” insider politicians and their allied super bureaucrats is that after the partisan Democrat “Kangaroo Court” criminal referral to politically persecute Trump reaches the Democrat run US Department of Justice, the top Democrats there will wait for the 101% politically partisan Biden to give the Department of Justice a “wink and a nod” and then will assign the matter to the Democrat DC US Attorney, who will bring the matter before a DC Democrat dominant Grand Jury where any Republican “ham sandwich” could easily be indicted and will instruct the Grand Jury indict Trump on whatever charges are brought before the Grand Jury probably especially relating to the Democrat allegation that Trump supported an insurrection against the USA. After that, an arrest warrant will be issued for Trump’s arrest after which Trump would probably turn himself in and be released on some sort of bond or on his personal recognizance. The case will then be assigned to a liberal Democrat federal judge and Democrat Assistant US Attorneys for trial. A Democrat jury will be selected and Trump would then go on trial. You can guess what the decision of the jury will be, especially relating to a charge of insurrection that the Democrats claim will disqualify Trump from running for President in 2024. What could be political about all that politically charged “Banana Republic” style maneuvering by the Democrats? If you were to ask that to half the population of the country today, their only answer would be something like, huh?

The charges to be filled against President Trump are a joke and America knows it...it's a drip/drip plan to keep their mindless idiots in line...it was never about President Trump's followers being led by President Trump...it was political theater for the never Trumpers in Washington's swamp...like lizzie cheny and her buddies who didn't like an outsider in control of their gravy train....he beat them in 2016 and they will never forgive him for that....
