The Biden administration on Saturday authorized Chevron Corp.’s joint venture to resume oil pumping in Venezuela.
“The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued Venezuela General License (GL) 41, authorizing Chevron Corporation to resume limited natural resource extraction operations in Venezuela,” the Treasury Department said in a statement.
The goal of the authorization is to “alleviate the suffering of the Venezuelan people and support the restoration of democracy,” according to the statement.

Why not stop trying to destroy the U.S. oil and gas industry (the only campaign promise that Biden is keeping), allow U.S. drilling and production, and alleviate the suffering of the American people and support the restoration of democracy?

Info regarding this Office (probably never heard of by 99.99% of us):
The Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC") of the US Department of the Treasury administers and enforces economic and trade sanctions based on US foreign policy and national security goals against targeted foreign countries and regimes, terrorists, international narcotics traffickers, those engaged in activities related to the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and other threats to the national security, foreign policy or economy of the United States.

Chevron used to pump oil from Venezuela before the communist takeover. They cleaned up their sites before they left and the government inspectors certified that it was environmentally sound.
Yet, years later, the communist government tried to shake down Chevron for $billions to clean up a nearby site that was operated by the state-owned oil company, and submitted fraudulent claims, forged documents, and crooked lawyers to sue Chevron in US courts. Fortunately, Chevron won.
Now, Biteme, in his infinite wisdom, is forcing Chevron to pair up with criminal PDVSA again.
What about US oil from N. Dakota, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas, offshore, Alaska, etc.?

Joe can authorize all he wants. Just another empty gesture. There's no oil to pump and I guarantee Chevron wants nothing to do with it.

The goal of the authorization is to “alleviate the suffering of the Venezuelan people and support the restoration of democracy.”
BS, the goal is to buy oil from a socialist dictator to further restrict production in the USA where the largest proven reserves in the world exist.

OK, L-Dotters, answer me this:
1) How much are they paying Krak-Head Huncher as a 'Consultant'?
(May not be a 'consultant', but I wager the under-the-table Ca$h is flowing.)
2) What is The Big Guy's cut?
Out and out corruption. That's the ONLY reason. I'm convinced of that!

It's hard to tell of which country Biden is the so-called president. I'm certain is isn't this one, or else he'd have opened up our fuel supplies.

Go ahead Chevron. Spend the money to ramp up production in a country that will nationalize your assets in a New York Minute, assuming the Biden administration doesn't do a 180 after the greenies protest this move and pull the permits.

Why mess with Venezuelan oil? Mexico has plenty of oil. Oh wait. I almost forgot. Mexico nationalized their oil industry and stole it from the oil companies in the 1950's. And ever since hasn't been able to produce jack squat. Because ... wait for it ... wait for it ... socialism doesn't work. There, I said it. Now I'm banned from most social media. Oh, the bother.

Beyond pathetic. How much more proof does one need to realize that the climate change agenda is a complete hoax. Gee, we thought the whole world was involved and had to be saved. Logic, forget about it, there is no logic. It's all about money, it's all about the rich and the elites of the communist democratic party. They know the scam they;'re running and they also know they can get away with it because the democratic voter base is made up of the indoctrinated and the illiterate. Appalling.

Since the Biteme/Obozo administration has effectively cut off funds for drilling in this country, the authorization is for those banks going along with Biteme to allow funding for Chevron to get oil from Venezuela. However, people who want to drill for oil here will still be forbidden to get money to do so.

Ahh! Smell that? The air is so much cleaner when the nice environmentally conscious socialists pump the oil in their country then when our evil highly regulated oil and gas producers here in the US do it.

Translation of this article into reality-speak:
Maduro needs Chevron's help to produce oil, so has invited them back.
Joe, having been promised his 10%, is giving Chevron permission to violate the sanctions currently in place with legal impunity.

Venezuelan crude oil is extremely sour; its high sulfur content make it among the dirtiest crude to refine. From an environmental perspective alone, Biden is doing the climate cult no favors but he and his handlers are criminally stupid.
