Former President Donald Trump took to his own social media platform Tuesday to condemn Bob Woodward, alleging the veteran journalist has no right to publicize his early talks.
In his new audiobook published Tuesday titled “The Trump Tapes,” Woodward compiled eight-hour raw audios he taped from previous conversations with Trump, during the-then chief executive’s last year in charge.(snip)“As he fully understands, writer Bob Woodward never got my permission to release tapes of my various interviews with him,” (snip)
recordings were solely to serve Woodward’s printed publication in 2020 about his presidency. “Those tapes were allowed only for purposes of making sure that he got my quotes & statements

This is worse than Watergate. When do Deep Staters need permission to do anything? Especially neither Bernstein nor Woodward. They are notorious for doing illegal shite. I smell a bigly lawsuit in the wind.

Heck, I wouldn't give Woodward the opportunity to release my Christmas card, much less agree to an interview. Let him try and do it when I'm dying and in a coma. He's good at that (ask the family of the old CIA director under Reagan). He does well with jilted employees who didn't get the FBI job back in the 70s, though.

Trump's suit will go nowhere, unless he has a written agreement. Possession will likely be determinative, and Woodward possesses the tapes. The moment Trump released possession, he released tapes to Woodward. Why would Trump ever give an interview to Woodward? Swim with Woodward, Fauci and Birx, and disaster is ahead. Incomprehensible why anyone would receive them.

One of President Trump's flaws is why he would ever agree to sit down and be interviewed by a lying, propaganda hack like Woodward. Bad judgement.
Yes I am still a big Trump supporter but he has got to start placing his trust in the people who are loyal and are not out to destroy him. No more Barrs, Wrays, Jareds, etc.

Agree #5 - Why Trump ever agreed to interviews with Maggie Halberstam of the NY Times, etc. is beyond me. Sorry President Trump but you're not going to be able charm or outsmart these hacks as they will write whatever they want regardless of what you say.

For Woodward and the rest of Watergate's investigative reporters, the end (bringing down the Republican) justified any means. And that's still the case, maybe even more so.

Once thought that Woodward have more class than his sidekick Bernstein. As bad as Bernstein is, Woodward might be as bad. We're talking MSM people - or better said back side hole

Why would any Republican sit down with Bob Woodward, much less trust him? He is the scorpion who rides on the back of a frog and stings him.

THIS IS WHAT I HATE ABOUT TRUMP! His constant need to be in the company of "the in crowd," even though they only want to do him harm. Maggie Haberman, Billie Bush and the "pussy grabbing" faux pas, being interviewed by the likes of George Stephanopoulos and Leslie Stahl. You would think he'd learn, fer cryin' out loud! I could scream (I did at the beginning of this comment) at his failure to learn from past back-stabbings. But no; every time I think he has learned his lesson, he allows his narcissistic, self-destructive urge to be in the limelight to overcome any reticence. Ugh!

Geeezz #13, put down the bong. And get some fresh air.
Anyone considering the idea that PDJT knew that someday the despicable Woodward would publish this, just to get the reaction noticed here?

I've worked for multi-, multi-millionaire leftists. I can assure you, I would never trust any liberal to be loyal. They cannot be trusted. They are not loyal. They don't care about integrity.

I could see this coming. Woodward has released an audiobook of the raw tapes, intended for only reference use for his print book. No permission to release or publish raw tapes themselves
