A frightening report out of the city of Baltimore’s schools finds that in one high school so many students are failing that one of its top students has only passed three classes in four years of attending school. The mother of a student at west Baltimore’s Augusta Fells Savage Institute of Visual Arts recently told Baltimore’s WBFF that her son will not be graduating this year despite attending the school for four years. And she wants to know why this has happened. A major problem students face is the rising crime in Baltimore. Like the rising crime in so many other Democrat-controlled cities, Baltimore’s crime rate continues to spin out of control.

Comments:

Don't schools send home report cards anymore? My parents were all over our grades when I was growing up. We were expected to do our best in school, and it was a particular thrill to be able to tell my parents that I made honor roll. While I understand that the Baltimore schools are failing, I have to wonder where this mother was in checking her son's homework, his test scores and his general welfare in school.

Common Core seems to have been a fabulous success. Covid lockdowns and mask mandates we’re an enhancement and zoom school was the winning ticket. Now gender transition sexual confusion and child sex grooming Drag queen hair and make up classes for boys and sexual mitigation of girls seems to have been a complete success. Everyone is at fault here: 1. the child's parents, for not holding the child and school accountable for his low grades: 2. the school and teacher, for not holding the child accountable: 3. the voters, for not putting responsible leadership in charge of the schools. No matter his race, the child should have been held back until he passed each course....period.

If mom let this go on for four years, the school may be partly to blame but most of the failure was at home. Results in the first year, total failure, should have been addressed then and not allowed to continue. But racism was the cause of all this not rampant and incredible stupidity. Ergo, we need reparations and to appear in 90% of all television commercials.

Sorry, but "education" is a honky thing that only whitey and the Asians do. Education is NOT sought out or appreciated in the culture we are talking about. Killing someone, robbing, prison time...those are respectable endeavors. The failure begins in the culture. Everything else follows...

reminds me of a story out of Philadelphia years back. It was basically an emotional outrage piece because a student was accepted to a D1 college to run track but was immediately put on a 1year probation by the NCAA because of terrible academic performance in high school, she had graduated with a very low C aberage. While the article was outraged at the academic probation of a minority student from a bad neighborhood what they SHOULD have been outraged over was the fact that this low C- student was the Salutatorian of her class. That means her C- average was the second highest GPA in her graduating class. That is a failed school system.

The school failed this young man, but his mother didn't do her job either - making sure her son passed his courses, and when he didn't, get him a tutor, get him into a charter school, go down and ask the teachers for extra help. My parents were all over my report cards all the way through college. I will never forget the semester I made a C- in French. It was ugly until I pulled a B+ the next semester. After that, my parents left me alone, and I never slacked off in French class again.

Democratic pollster Fernand Amandi called Florida the "MAGA Republican capital of the confederacy" during the latest episode of MSNBC’s "The Cross Connection with Tiffany Cross." The frequent MSNBC guest offered his incendiary claim as part of a panel discussion about a recent Anti-Defamation League report detailing how many of America’s domestic extremists, including those who trespassed on Capitol grounds on January 6, are from Florida. The segment clearly aimed at demonizing the Republican stronghold state governed by possible 2024 contender Ron DeSantis, a strategy that host Tiffany Cross has routinely employed on her show. Cross really leaned into it this time, introducing the discussion by calling Florida a "haven of hate"

Biden spoke about the internet and newspapers during a fundraiser in Los Angeles on Thursday, appearing with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to help fund Democrats in the midterm elections. He appeared bewildered by the new media culture allowing everyone to see information for themselves. “Look what’s happened now. Everything is changing because technology has changed,” he said. “There are no editors anymore.

Elizabeth Guzman (D) plans to introduce legislation in order to combat Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s (R) model policies on the treatment of “transgender” students in Virginia schools. “The day that Gov. Youngkin wanted to implement this policy, I immediately texted the policy lead of that committee and said, this is how we’re going to push back,” Guzman, who is a social worker, said to ABC 7 News. The planned bill would expand the definition of child abuse to include parents who are not willing to “affirm” their child’s stated gender identity

If you ask President Joe Biden’s colleagues from his years as vice president, he is an “unguided missile” when under pressure, has “been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue” during the last 40 years, and allegedly has an underestimated ability to “f*** things up.” Those — shall we say — brutal character flaws mean that as commander-in-chief, he is a remarkably bad international negotiator and does not understand how the world works. In case you have not noticed, the entire globe is in disarray under Biden. The president’s lack of deal-making skills seems to be one of the main culprits behind the international disorder.

Programs for transgender advocacy aimed at children may have at last been a bridge too far for progressive activists. Government, establishment media and corporations and especially schools have made it clear they want to introduce inappropriate content to younger and younger kids. It’s an attempt to normalize the abnormal, quickly. This has activated parental protection instincts. It’s as if people suddenly recognized the dangerous top-down social engineering is coming for their kids too, if they don’t fight it now. Parents are taking action. On Wednesday, Southern California mother Brittany Mayer posted her confrontation with the Encinitas Union School District board on Twitter. The video of her insightful rant has since gone viral.
