Seattle—Nearly $900,000 in grants has been awarded by the city of Seattle's Department of Education and Early Learning (DEEL) to six Seattle organizations that support Black educators in their careers. DEEL's goal for the funding is to increase educator diversity in K-12 schools in the city. According to the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, about 790 (21%) Seattle Public Schools classroom teachers and 29,000 (54%) students identified as people of color in the 2020-21 school year. DEEL and SPS partnered to have the teacher population better match the city's student diversity.(Snip)Chelsea Oguike, ACE Academy Black Education Coordinator, said the teachers she grew up with

Comments:

It's like the olden days of cars, when you could get one in any color you liked, provided it was black. Who can imagine the lingering pain of a Nigerian having to endure being taught by a White teacher? Why, it's almost like the slave days. It's comical too how readily we accept and excuse "Diversity" as a codeword meaning non-White, because they make no bones about not liking White people very much.

Sounds like a great plan. Fund the hiring of marginally qualified teachers and watch those test scores drop even further, especially among minority students.

Well, why don't we have a black school for the black kids with all black teachers? And a white school for the white kids with all white teachers? And a Hispanic school for all the Hispanic kids with all Hispanic teachers... Oh wait, I think we tried something similar called "segregation" back prior to the mid-1960's. I would put my money on exactly the same results...

This is an in-your-face move which openly promotes anti-white racism. Funded by Soros & Co., a new generation is being raised from the cradle up to hate white people. It’s only a short hop to white persecution, then white “final solution.” This cannot stand.

President Joe Biden is set to import nearly 65,000 H-2B foreign visa workers to take blue-collar American jobs as roughly 11.6 million Americans remain jobless. This week, Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Labor Department announced that the administration would be allowing businesses to import a few less than 65,000 H-2B foreign visa workers to take nonagricultural jobs in construction, meatpacking, and landscaping, among other industries. This is in addition to the 66,000 H-2B foreign visa workers that the Biden administration has already allowed into the United States labor market to take blue-collar jobs.(Snip)An official with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce said

A pair of well-worn 19th-century Levi’s jeans—featuring a racist slogan—has sold at an auction for $76,000. Kyle Hauper, a 23-year-old vintage clothing collector from San Diego, snapped up the rare jeans dating from the 1880s at the Durango Vintage Festivus auction in New Mexico on Oct. 1. The second-hand jeans—hailed as “the holy grail of vintage denim collecting”—were discovered inside an abandoned mineshaft several years ago and are believed to be one of the oldest known Levi’s from that era. The antique pants are even complete with a vile racist label characteristic of the times.

Democratic operative Charles Dolan Jr. testified Thursday that he lied to Igor Danchenko in 2016 when he claimed to have information from a GOP insider about why Paul Manafort resigned from the Trump campaign. The false claim actually had been pulled from a cable news talking head, Mr. Dolan said at the federal trial of Mr. Danchenko, a Russian analyst who was the primary subsource for the so-called Steele dossier. The accusation ultimately found its way into that salacious unverified dossier of anti-Trump accusations compiled by British ex-spy Christopher Steele and attributed to “an American political figure associated with Donald Trump.”

The four-star Row NYC hotel—located in pricey Times Square and formerly the iconic Milford Plaza—will initially house 200 migrant families and will have the ability to take on even more in the coming weeks, Adams said. The $400-a-night hotel—once billed as being “in the center of it all”—has more than 1,000 rooms and is located in the same district as PS 33,

American students are struggling even though the government sent billions of dollars in COVID-19 relief money to school districts to offset learning loss, according to a study released Tuesday. The study says the federal largesse fell short, failed to target the schools in greatest need and wasn’t tied to policy outcomes. Analysts at the American Educational Research Association said schools likely need $700 billion to address learning loss, mainly from remote instruction, but received about $189 billion from the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund in 2020 and 2021. The funds, including about $120 billion tucked into President Biden’s massive pandemic relief bill last year,

Officials at the Federal Reserve and in the Biden administration are seeing promising signs that the U.S. might finally be through the worst of inflation. But don’t expect them to declare victory anytime soon. Import prices have dropped as the value of the dollar has surged. Supply chain snarls have been easing for months. Retailers have been building up their backroom store of products. All of these trends suggest that price spikes should begin to cool off. But topline inflation data has remained stubbornly high, feeding the steady drumbeat of remarks by central bank policymakers that they can’t let up yet.
