FBI Offered Bribe to Bring Down Trump

Scott wrote earlier today about the first day’s testimony in the trial of Igor Danchenko. I want to elaborate on the most significant point that emerged from the testimony of FBI supervisory intelligence analyst Brian Auten: the FBI offered Christopher Steele $1 million if he could come up with evidence to support the wild allegations in his “dossier” on Donald Trump. This at a time when the FBI knew that, to date, Steele had nothing. TechnoFog has a summary and partial transcript of Auten’s testimony, which is worth quoting at length: Auten was asked about the FBI’s efforts to corroborate the Steele allegations

I agree the FBI should be retired from service. Also, the Patriot Act that was passed after 911 has to be retired. It has not been used against terrorists. It has been used against us.

The credibility of “justice” in this country has been relegated to third-world status! The FBI in particular has been shown to be a partisan tool/enforcement agency for the democrat party! Moreover, it is dangerous to We, the People and absolutely cannot be trusted!

Good article with one exception. Every FBI agent should not be retired. If they had anything and I mean anything to do with this entire witch hunt, they should be prosecuted. Furthermore, those agents who have stood by and said nothing in order to protect themselves and their pensions should be stripped of those benefits because they swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and in their selfishness, refused to come forward to do so. They should not be rewarded. This agency of such treasonous betrayal must be held accountable. The only way that is accomplished is by unrelenting prosecution, punishment, and the complete abolishment from top to bottom of the agency and its physical building. The FBI must go down in the annals of history as a corrupt, destructive force for evil in direct violation to the rule of law and Constitution. Justice demands it and the American people expect nothing less.

I agree with the author's conclusion: "Until now, I have thought that the FBI could be reformed. But this is too much. The rot goes too deep, and the FBI’s violation of the public trust is too comprehensive. The bureau should be shut down, the J. Edgar Hoover building should be razed to the ground, every FBI employee should be retired, and a brand new federal law enforcement agency, with new personnel and with far stronger controls to prevent meddling in domestic politics, should be established."

We have two Senators, Grassley and Johnson, who squall and lament and promise all kinds of retribution for all the miscreants; however to this day nothing has happened. I fear nothing will ever be done. I doubt even President Trump has the strength to bring down the Swamp led by Mitch McConnell, Chuck Shumer and the ditzy, brazen Nancy Pelosi. Disagree? Please post.

The three main three-letter alphabet intel agencies could be shut down today and I don't believe we would see any negative impact. Over the last ten years they have done nothing except damage to America, harassed and removed the best president we have ever had and have assassinated a couple of terrorists that Obama once supported. I have more respect for the Mossad.

FBI agents that were involved in this corrupt Stasi like operation MUST be prosecuted and treated in the most harsh terms. And agents who stood by in order to protect their careers and pensions, likewise must be prosecuted and treated in the most harsh terms. Examples must be made of every miscreant in the Bureau and I say this with incredible angst and sadness. In order to ensure integrity and trust in our federal law enforcement and ensure that any agency that replaces the FBI is staffed and administered to the highest professional and anti-corruption standards, these people should be treated, on let's just say, like the J-6 misdemeanants.

Centered in D.C., the FBI has become a clone of a German organization from the 1930's. It will be difficult to purge those of that same mindset and method of operation. They lie .... even in sworn testimony before Congress....with no fear of being charged with perjury.

I'm going to assume that since most Republicans have been silent on the FBI/DOJ crap, they just assume since they are in the minority, there is no use in complaining about the abuse of power by both agencies. Either that, or they're just happy it's not them and it involves just Trump. I do think that the idea of not just defunding these agencies and going after the top 25% of the leadership, but an attempt to eliminate them all together, and forming something new with full management under the control of the Congress, Senate, and the Supreme Court. Plus, looking into the NSA as well. It's become apparent that none of these agencies have done a very good job of preventing China from gaining access to top secret materials.

There are 535 members of Congress and having that many people all running around like chicks with no heads wanting to make law enforcement decisions is a recipe for disaster. Just the idea of it is scarier than the current version of the FBI.

As we’ve previously noted, nearly 70% of likely 2022 voters say that the high price of groceries is influencing their motivation to vote. This spells doom for Joe Biden and the Democrats in November. However, Bidenflation will not only influence voters’ decisions in November. It will also, regrettably, have an effect on the Thanksgiving dinner. More than a third of Americans, according to a survey by Personal Capital, will be eating less at Thanksgiving this year, with 88% of Americans planning to eliminate at least one dish from their traditional Thanksgiving spread in an effort to save money. I’ve got a confession to make. When I saw that Republican Herschel Walker had accepted a debate with Democrat incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock, I wasn’t exactly enthused. Yes, to some extent, Walker’s communication issues have been overstated, but no one was ever going to confuse him for a charismatic speaker, and certainly, no one thought he would be a good debater. The running assumption for the month leading up to the event has been simple: Walker would be lucky to get out alive, and absolutely no one was entertaining the possibility that he could excel. Truth, justice, and the American way. That’s what Superman originally stood for, and that’s what people loved about the iconic comic book character. But we live in a different era nowadays. Radical, toxic, left-wing propaganda is all the craze. So, when the news broke that a version of Superman was going to be bisexual in a new comic book, Superman: Son of Kal-El, it caused quite a stir. That controversy didn’t transfer over into profitability, however. DC Comics announced it would no longer be printing the bisexual Superman comic due to low readership, the Washington Examiner reported. GOP Rep. Mike Garcia holds one of House Republicans’ most vulnerable districts. But Democrats have barely spent a dime on TV to take him down. The decision, according to those involved, was driven by a relative lack of resources: As Republicans’ biggest House super PAC floods the election with hundreds of millions of dollars, their Democratic counterparts have lagged far behind. Some members of the California Democratic delegation were alarmed by the decision to leave Garcia’s district untouched — and they have urged their party’s campaign arm in recent weeks not to abandon a seat that President Joe Biden won by double digits, according to multiple people familiar with the discussions.

“The problem with living under postmodernism,” Dean Hunter Baker commented, “is that everyone is constantly tending the narrative instead of doing something useful.” It does seem that way, especially if you run in my circles. But of course, plenty of people are doing something useful. The world is full of those whose diligent and largely unsung work makes the lights stay on, the grocery shelves fill with food, the toilets flush and even the Internet run. They have been ignored, denigrated and even subjected to a species of economic warfare for the last several decades, but suddenly people are starting to notice that they matter.

Denial is no longer possible: FBI headquarters not only pumped up the Russiagate scandal knowing none of the “evidence” held up, it then turned around to help deep-six actual evidence of Hunter Biden crimes that tainted now-President Joe ahead of the 2020 election.  The latest revelations come from special counsel John Durham’s prosecution of “Steele dossier” gofer Igor Danchenko. Specifically, disgraced FBI analyst Brian Auten testified that the FBI dangled $1 million for Christopher Steele to verify at least part of his package of allegations against Trump — all of which, we now know, came from Danchenko’s water-cooler gossip with pals in DC.
