Hurricane Ian “rapidly transformed from a relatively weak storm into a strong one, [a] phenomenon that has become more common” due to climate change.
So reported the New York Times in its daily email newsletter. It also said, “Ian embodies several of the major hurricane trends in recent years, as the world copes with the effects of climate change. It’s a strong storm -- and strong storms are becoming more common in the Atlantic Ocean, as its surface water has warmed.”
The prayers of a nation go out to the people in Florida devastated by Hurricane Ian, particularly those in the Ft. Myers area. Ian was indeed one of

So good to hear from Dr. Neil Frank, whom I worked for in the mid 60s at the National Hurricane Research Center in Miami. He completely debunks the notion that global warming makes hurricanes more frequent, more intense, and more deadly.

What would a doctor of meteorology and a former director of the National Hurricane Center know about hurricanes and climate change? Did he consult with AL Gore and John Kerry, two esteemed climatologists, before writing this?

Thank you for clearing all this up. Have a look at The Milankovitch Cycles for a detailed scientific explanation based on real scientific astronomical facts of what the mechanics and mechanisms of climate change from tropical ages to ice ages over millions of years time are. I learned about this back in around 1960 in elementary school. Obviously, they don't teach Milutin Milankovitch anymore because it doesn't fit the agenda or narrative of the climate change cult. Teach this to your children. It is so important they not be brainwashed about fake man-made climate change.

Not only have there been fewer storms but they have been lower in strength too. There is a measure Calle cumulative intensity index. This on an average measures 60.0 by September. Before Ian it was 29.6. - under 50%. This is all pure political BS.

It is not the temperature of the air masses that matters, it is the difference in temperature between the air masses that matters. It really is just that simple.

Global warming is a hoax. If it were real, so called climate scientists would continually be producing papers of their science for the public to review. What about all the scientists that disagree with the science behind global warming? There are many of them but most are afraid to speak out because the left has politicized the issue and demonizes anyone that questions the science or has a different opinion. Isn't it funny how the media talking heads are such fervent believers in a science they are not even fluent in? They have such strong opinions even though they could not describe or otherwise articulate any of the actual science behind their strong opinions if their life depended on it.

The willfully ignorant believe history began with their birth/memory.
There is a reason dates are important.
My area of over 5 million broke a high temperature record this year. The previous record was set in 1911 when the population was 100 thousand, few autos, no airplanes, air conditioners or freeways, parking lots and concrete everywhere, mostly residential and little heavy industry. If man's gases cause global warming, why was it so hot over a century ago?

If the problem is GLOBAL, then why is America getting the blame, and is expected to fix it?

Global warming/Climate change/Weather variations/Temperature fluctations/Wind shifts/Oceanic distortions/ - call it whatever because it don't exist (except in the minds or libnut wackos).Cliate has been around for thousands of years. Fools want to make assumption based on 100 years of data, forgetting about or ignoring millions of years.
Ther're a bunch of "Climate Change" idiotic fools.

Human activities contribute about 4% of the annual input of CO2 to the atmosphere. The other 96% is from natural sources and will be unchanged if humans all vanished from the planet tomorrow.
IT'S A SCAM.

Climate change.
The weather is constantly changing. It's dynamic because the sun heats the Earth's atmosphere.
What the Libs REALLY mean when they say that overused phrase is
Let's get rid of the internal combustion engine and all fossil fuels that power it.
