What’s happening in Iran is the biggest women’s rights protest ever in the Islamic world. Yet the response from some of the leading feminists in the United States, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib, has been strikingly muted. Each one has made what can be characterized at best as a tepid, pro forma response, one that contrasts sharply with their statements and actions during the Trump administration. It looks as if each one of these women regards Donald Trump as a far greater threat to women than the Islamic Republic of Iran is. Of course not, because Illin Omar and Rancid Taliban March in goosestep with the Ayatollahs, and Sandy Cortez doesn't have the guts to buck the Sisterhood.

The brave women of Iran have my full support and sympathy. They are the ones not sitting in a cushy office - they are on the front lines fighting for their rights. Just like NOW was very quiet while Bill Clinton was president and the charges against him by many women - that's what these losers are doing in DC, nothing.

Islamic leaders Talib and Omar would be stoned in an Islamic State for even speaking in public - then there's the manner of dress and makeup - and Omar's adultery.. They care nothing of the plight of women anywhere as they are merely political fodder to be appealed to for votes. Neither would hold office if Clinton and Bush hadn't concentrated immigrants in their districts.

These women are, IMO, scum-of-the-earth political opportunists who use Islam and/or their gender ONLY to gain power. They will be on whichever side of an issue they perceive to be good for them. No other considerations or principles apply.

As to "haiku," let the record reflect: a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world.

This is because the “Squad” operates by the following hierarchy of beliefs: (1) Islam (2) Marxism/Socialism/Communism (3) Race/Racism (4) Gender/Sexual Identity (5) Feminism So, their belief system places women on the lowest of their priorities. In this case, these women are merely collateral damage to their “higher” set of beliefs.

The Left will never criticize "The Sacred Other". Because The Sacred Other is invariably anti-western and anti-America. So it gets privileged status. This is why we are treated to the spectacle of women dressing in costumes from "A Handmaid's Tale" while REAL women are forced to cover their heads under penalty of death.

Women in the Squad are just another clutch of woke hypocrites, a lot like the boneheaded broads on the View or the hideous NOW gang. And their claim to be standing up for women is based on a pathological double-standard, totally ignoring actual violence by people or groups favored by them, while waxing hysterical over the least gesture or word of disrespect from a Conservative or Christian.

One of Atlanta’s newest city council members continues to break glass ceilings — even the ones that not many people know or care about. Liliana Bakhtiari’s bio on the Atlanta City Council website touts her remarkable (at least to the woke) accomplishments. “Liliana is the first queer Muslim person to be elected in the state of Georgia, and the first nonbinary person elected in the city of Atlanta,” the bio states. “She identifies as gender fluid and uses ‘she/her’ and ‘they/them’ pronouns.” (Keep the whole pronoun thing in your mind. It’ll come in handy later.) Bakhtiari is the daughter of Iranian immigrants, which makes me think: I can’t imagine she’d be able

Not long after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis called out Joe Biden’s pettiness for snubbing him despite calling various Florida mayors before Hurricane Ian made landfall, Biden insisted that his political disputes with DeSantis were irrelevant when it came to hurricane relief. “It’s totally irrelevant, but I’ll answer it,” he said in response to a question about his relationship with DeSantis during remarks he made at the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s headquarters. “He complimented me, he thanked me for the immediate response we had, he told me how much he appreciated it.” “This is not about anything having to do with our disagreements politically, this is about saving people’s lives, homes and businesses

Disgraced former “CBS Evening News” anchor Dan Rather — fired for knowingly airing false documents about George W. Bush’s Texas National Guard service — continues his desperate chase for relevancy, this time by chiding Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, as Hurricane Ian was about to take deadly aim at the Sunshine State. Earlier in September, hypocritical liberals lost their minds when DeSantis shipped just 50 illegal aliens to the smug, Democrat enclave of Martha’s Vineyard. Within 24 hours, the illegals were unceremoniously shipped off the island. Yet, as deadly Ian approached Florida’s shores, Rather fired up his Twitter machine to trumpet the virtue of Biden’s federal government in contrast to the

In New York City, world leaders dodged traffic, deranged panhandlers and the city’s unique fall funk, to lecture the planet about their views at the United Nations General Assembly. Their theme was the threat that “misinformation” or “disinformation” poses to their power. “Hate speech, misinformation and abuse — targeted especially at women and vulnerable groups — are proliferating,” UN Secretary-General Guterres claimed. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov blamed his country’s PR problems on, “disinformation, crude staging, and provocations”. “Today I have listened to further instalments of Russia’s catalogues of distortions, dishonesty, and disinformation,” UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly retorted. Jonathan Capehart, a Washington Post columnist and MSNBC host, is arguing that Democrats need to retake the high ground on patriotism. It really bugs him that people associate patriotism with Republicans, while it is the Democrats who are the real patriots. Yeah right. I have no idea why anybody would think that Democrat leaders and commentators aren’t patriotic. Maybe because of statements like this: Capehart’s argument is not uncommon, of course. Democrats have been frustrated by the fact that Republicans have been more successful with patriotic messaging than they since at least the 60’s. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) wanted regulatory reform, in part to reverse some of the Biden Administration reversals of Trump era reforms intended to expedite permits for fossil fuel projects. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) needed Manchin’s vote in the 50-50 Senate to enact his latest spending extravaganza, the Inflation Reduction Act, which was primarily a massive climate and “green” energy subsidy arrangement. It gives Schumer allies some $370 billion in wind, solar, battery and other funding, tax credits and subsidies. In exchange, Schumer would offer a path for Manchin’s reform bill.
