Angelo Carusone, the president and CEO of leftwing media “watchdog” site Media Matters, expressed a fear to SiriusXM host Dean Obeidallah. Carusone is worried about the potential for CNN, under the leadership of new chief executive officer Chris Licht, to be taken over by Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch. CNN is in the middle of a shakeup right now, and between the loss of leadership and the firing of longtime anchors, the future doesn’t look particularly bright for the former undisputed champion of cable news.
“Thing I really am afraid of is that … they sell to Rupert Murdoch,” Carusone said. “I’m terrified of this. It is super,

I don't see the reason for the fear. CNN is moving to the mushy middle and Fox is already there, so. . . Oh, and both are losing viewers. Fox is still up there, but they're still losing viewers, just like the other networks. People are turning more and more to alternatives.

Wanna make them REALLY freak out?
Maybe enough to cause actual physical destruction?
Start a rumor that Trump and Elon Musk are pooling their capital to buy CNN

Since the owner of Fox is an extreme lefist, he'd probably keep CNN extreme leftist. He's moved Fox far, far to the left from where it was.
I gave up on Fox because of Laughlin Murdock's ruining it by moving it to the left.

What would be interesting, which means it will never happen, is if CNN goes back to having both left and right commentators who are also educated in history, science, political philosophy, and economics and understand the honest disputes that America and the world has struggled with over time. I would like to see discussions between honest persons equally informed who may differ in their politics but respect those that disagree with them and can find points of agreement in a civil way. It would also be helpful if they pointed out ways that ordinary people could take action to make this a better country.
This means that we don't spend countless hours trash talking and complaining about how bad and evil {fill in the blank} is, how the country is going to {fill in the blank}, how the taxpayers are being ripped off by {fill in the blank}, and running videos of incompetent and ignorant clowns whose only talent is convincing people to vote for them. I'm so tired of the boring, pointless, angry, hyperbolic, ill-informed, and repetitive whining that fills the programming hours of {fill in the blank}. Please show some interest in presenting useful information or just shut down and save us all a lot of expensive electricity.

It would be wonderful if we had reporters/journalists who were educated in history, finance, philosophy, etc. instead of political science and/or journalism.

If the loons on CNN were not occasionally quoted by tape excerpts on other networks like Fox and NewsMax no one who counts would even know they existed.
Unless you're trapped in a waiting room for the doctor, an airport, train station, etc. there would be no viewers for the Clinton News network.

We don't watch televised news programs at all. So if Fox chooses to buy the communist news network, good for Fox I guess.

This is the CEO of Media Matters talking through his hat. From his perspective, IF such a sale took place it would silence the left's "most trusted" asset. But he's simply trying to rile the faithful. There always needs to be a catastrophe on the horizon.

I've stopped watching news programs most of the time simply because it's gets tiresome after a while. It's the same drumbeat over and over again. The demosluts and government in general are evil and the country is going to hell in a hand basket. I get it. Most people get it. Start reporting when something changes, because at this point, I could watch a year-old news broadcast and still be informed and up to date.

AT&T is taking a financial bath in writing off mobile phones they signed up in the big cities as the clientele they attracted cancelled their contracts and kept their high end phones. I'm sure the burden of CNN and the former subscribers with a billion plus in losses is probably making them consider dumping the loser.

The Left is no happier with a mushy middle news source than a conservative one. Everything has to be in lockstep with them. The fact is there are not enough viewers on the Left to support two all news netwaorks on cable but there may be room for one in the middle that plays it straight with the news and balances commentary and opinion shows.

Under Murdoch Fox News is morphing into CNN anyway. Even though most of the country
despises the establishment Rino's in Washington, Fox News props them up 24-7.
