President Joe Biden said Sunday on CBS’s “60 Minutes” that he had not decided if he would run for president in 2024. Anchor Scott Pelley said, “Sir, are you committed to running again, or are there certain conditions that have to be right?” Biden said, “Look, if I were to say to you, I’m running again, all of a sudden a whole range of things come into play that I have requirements, I have to change and move and do. On 60 Minutes this evening, President admitted aloud that his decision to transfer up to a trillion dollars in student-loan debt to taxpayers without congressional approval is flatly unconstitutional: Why does Biden’s statement matter so much? I’ll tell you: It matters because the memo that the Biden administration released to justify his order rested entirely upon there being an ongoing emergency, and because, as Biden has just confirmed, there is no ongoing emergency. Back in August, Biden’s lawyers argued with half-straight faces that the 2003 HEROES Act — which, as Bloomberg Law has noted, was passed not as a generalized enabling act but “to help borrowers serving

In fact, within an hour of the interview premiering, the first clarification had already dropped regarding comments the president made about defending Taiwan from a Chinese attack. That was the second time in the last few months that the administration has had to walk back Biden’s comments on the subject. Things didn’t get better as the topics changed. Last Thursday, the same day 60 Minutes spoke to President Joe Biden, Vladimir Putin met with China's leader, Xi Jinping. There's concern that Russia's war in Ukraine could inspire China to attack the island of Taiwan. U.S. policy since 1979 has been to recognize Taiwan as part of China, but remain silent on whether the U.S. military would defend the democratic government there. 60 Minutes correspondent Scott Pelley asked Mr. Biden about that. "What should Chinese President Xi know about your commitment to Taiwan?" Pelley asked the president. "We agree with what we signed onto a long time ago," the president said. CNN cut away from Biden’s masque of red ink to show what was happening to the stock market. Reuters acidly headlined its coverage, “Biden celebrates ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ as food, rent prices climb”. So what’s there to celebrate? The Inflation Reduction Act is a lie.

President Joe Biden will be one of the only world leaders allowed to use his helicopter in London when he arrives for the Queen’s funeral, The Post has confirmed. The president and first lady Jill Biden arrived in the UK last night. They were expected to join King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, alongside other members of the royal family and world leaders at a reception at Buckingham Palace. Joe and Jill arrived at Stansted Airport on Air Force One.
Can the Sunday morning talk show be saved? replies

For the past few months, viewers of “This Week” — ABC’s Sunday-morning public-affairs program — have watched anchors Martha Raddatz and Jonathan Karl roam far beyond the studio, doing interviews with newsmakers in places like Lviv, Ukraine, and Arizona’s border with Mexico. Remote broadcasts are hardly a new concept in TV news, but they’re unusual for Sunday morning panel shows — a genre built around the concept of a cozy Washington-insiders conclave. These on-the-road segments reflect a bit of rethinking and tweaking after years of drift and decline. For decades, Sunday morning’s Big Four — NBC’s “Meet the Press,” CBS’s

Ah, The Lincoln Project. Such promise. So many hopes and dreams. So much bitterness, divisiveness, and outright stupidity, obsessively working against any Republican presidential nominee’s White House bid over any Democrat nominee. In the end, implosion. That said, Trump Derangement Syndrome does that to even the strongest of men, a desirable quality to which none of these clowns comes even close. The political action committee was formed in late 2019 by former and current Republicans, with a burning desire to prevent the 2020 re-election of Donald Trump. A key member was sniveling George Conway, disloyal husband to

For quite a while now, ever since Obama talked about the Constitution being a "charter of negative liberties," the left have been behaving as if our Constitution did not exist. Obama's comments and those of other radicals regarding how the Constitution is no longer applicable to today's America reveal a breathtaking disdain for this most brilliant document. Radicals are determined to ignore the Constitution without doing so publicly, thereby destroying it without actually saying that's what they want to do. And so the left have simply decided to ignore the constitutional protections that Americans enjoy against governmental overreach.
Pope Francis: Not Fair to Call China ‘Undemocratic’ replies

ROME — Pope Francis has rejected the label “undemocratic” to describe China’s communist regime, insisting that the issue is too complex to allow for such characterizations. “I cannot get on board with calling China undemocratic; I won’t do that because it’s such a complex country,” the pontiff told journalists during his return trip from Kazakhstan to Rome Thursday. “Sure, there are things that seem undemocratic to us, that is true.” “Labeling is difficult and I’m not ready to do that, since they are impressions, so instead I try to support the path of dialogue,” he declared.

A man who went on a scary ax-swinging rampage at a Manhattan McDonald’s on Saturday morning had flipped out after a young woman “rejected” his advances, a witness said. Michael Palacios, 31, was arrested after cellphone video showed him grabbing an ax out of his backpack, destroying property and terrorizing customers inside the Delancey Street fast-food restaurant just before 2:30 a.m. Ruben G, an Uber Eats delivery man who witnessed the fight, told The Post the altercation began after Palacios was spurned by the unidentified woman.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has challenged Ron DeSantis to a debate over his decision to send 50 migrants to Martha's Vineyard - just as the Florida governor doubles down on sending more migrants to Democratic 'sanctuary cities.' Earlier this week, DeSantis mimicked his Texas and Arizona counterparts in sending over groups of migrants to Democrat-led cities up north in protest of the Biden Administration's border policies. Newsom and other Democratic leaders have slammed the move as playing with people's lives, with the California governor going so far as to call for kidnapping charges against DeSantis.

Many old-timers like me doubtless remember the old-time radio show “The FBI in Peace and War,” which touted the magnificent operations of the Bureau. These days they operate as an arm of the Democrat party, grossly exaggerating the size and operations of white supremacists to suggest they, not the Antifa and BLM thugs, are the real threat to the nation. In the process they have beset many innocent people and aided Biden in besmirching millions of Trump supporters. (In fact, there are so few anti-Black threats
Liz Truss Is Governing the UK as a Conservative replies

The news of the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the round-the-clock coverage of her upcoming funeral has almost made us forget that the UK also has a new prime minister. Liz Truss won the heated contest to replace Boris Johnson as the leader of the Conservative (Tory) Party and thus moved into 10 Downing Street as prime minister. On Truss’ third day in office, her monarch died, which put politics on the back burner, but she kicked off the Liz Truss era in a head-turning way. She began leading the Tories and governing her nation as an actual conservative. Tom Harris, a former Labour member of Parliament, writes at the Telegraph

A planned stunt to disrupt the funeral for Queen Elizabeth II by a climate activist group was reportedly foiled earlier this week by London’s Metropolitan Police. According to a source from within the Met, a man tried to conduct a “waterborne reconnaissance mission” with a Go-Pro camera attached to his head as he paddled on a float in the no-go area of the River Thames outside the Houses of Parliament. Police suspected that the man, believed to be a member of either Extinction Rebellion or a similar extreme green agenda group, was filming to plan out a route for his fellow-travellers to clandestinely reach Westminster Hall

Despite the White House fury that GOP governors face for sending migrants to sanctuary cities, El Paso's Democrat-led city government has been doing the same for weeks -- and is asking for the Biden administration to pay for it. Led by Mayor Oscar Leeser, a Democrat, the Texas border city has dispatched at least 28 charter buses filled with migrants to New York City since August 23, at a cost of more than $600,000, KFOX-TV reported this week. City officials say that they expect the buses to be paid for by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), as part of a quarterly reimbursement process covering emergency food and shelter for migrants.
