Some of downtown Minneapolis’s busiest thoroughfares — including sections of Hennepin Avenue and First Avenue — were shut down to make them more pedestrian friendly. All part of a pilot project to draw people into the warehouse district, near Target Center. “We’re running this project for them, the people who are already here,” says Ben Shardlow, Urban Director with the Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District. “We’re starting with engaging with the people who are here and giving them a good experience, and hoping to grow this project in the future.”

Who in their right mind would attend any kind of event in downtown Minneapolis, home to those peace loving, friendly thugs of the BLM. This Ben Shardlow, Urban Director with the Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District must eat Acid by the handful to come up with idiotic ideas like this nonsensical garbage. What isn't mentioned in the article that instead of shuttling the attendees in buses they had to use Bradley Armored Fighting vehicles to ensure the safety of the few idiots who attended. How's this for logic - First order the police to Stand Back and allow the Communist Death Democrat BLM thugs to violently riot and burn to the ground Downtown Minneapolis and then turn around and invite people to come on down and party. Genius. And now after the total bust of the event why what's the next logical step? Schedule the same exact event the following month. More Genius!

I watched the video. In most of the street scenes the people in event staff t-shirts outnumbered everybody else present. On top of that, the people in security shirts outnumbered everybody present who was not in an event staff t-shirt.

Advertise it as a mostly peaceful riot hosted by BLM and Antifa and the place will be packed. And destroyed.

Actions (or in this case inaction) have consequences. Let thugs take over the streets, and most people stay away.

Newsom and other Democratic leaders have slammed the move as playing with people's lives, with the California governor going so far as to call for kidnapping charges against DeSantis.
