Rise & Fall of the Biden Bump

President Biden’s approval rating recently bumped up into the low 40’s. My working theory is that Biden is well served by his time out of the public eye and poorly served by his public appearances and remarks. Biden’s minders in the White House don’t seem to agree with me, however, as they continue to send him on the road to peddle the fabrications, fabulations, and grotesqueries of his Wilkes-Barre remarks, to take only the most recent example. (I touched on them briefly in in “Semi-moronic.”) Tonight Biden is taking to prime time to save the soul of America. He makes Jimmy Carter look like a giant —

Total idiot: Obama's chosen successor. Can we have Obama ostracized now? He's behind all this crapola. (from memory) Clousseau: "You could have received a concussion from such a bimp!" Dreyfus: "Bimp?" Clousseau: "What?" Dreyfus: "You said 'Bimp!'"

Memo to all: There was never a Biden "Bump". It was all just another made up propaganda campaign by the media and the fake, worthless communist death democrat controlled pollsters. He is about as popular as a tur d in a punch bowl at a Super Bowl Party. The only "Bump" FJB got was when he hit his head looking under his bed for his kiddie porn stash.

He'll make a fool of himself tonight, I hope the republican response is swift & aggressive. Reminding everyone of the lousy economy, inflation, gas prices & recession. Also remind the American people that he going after his opponents because all of his policies have been complete and utter failures. Attacking opponents is the last desperate ravings of a despot.

I just saw McCarthy blathering about something when I turned on TV and Greta's show was on. I bet it didn't amount to much with regard to getting any of the real problems fixed. He was listing all that Diapers was doing but I didn't hear anything about what they were going to do about it. Also talking about how many of our young people are dying from fentanyl and how the cartel is in charge of our southern border. We already know that. Tell us how we can fix it.

Happy Friday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. Zelwyn’s wizardry with macaroni was lost on most people because of his insistence upon wearing a turtleneck and Speedo while cooking. I would like to begin today by saying that I’m very proud to have always despised Joe Biden. When he was The Lightbringer’s veep and would do something weird, I remember a lot of my conservative friends laughing along with everyone else, finding the old guy to be quite amusing. I would chastise them, saying that nothing was amusing about having a lunatic one heartbeat away from the launch codes. They’re all on the same page with me now that the lunatic

Back in the 90s, at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal, the establishment media hammered home the proposition that the individual character of a chief executive didn’t matter. He could be a cheerful rogue and serial philanderer like Bill Clinton, but the Left insisted that was a private matter and that the only thing Americans should care about was that he was a competent and capable president (which he wasn’t, but that’s another story). These assertions have become the conventional wisdom since then, but Old Joe Biden is now putting them to the test. On Tuesday, Fox News’ Lisa Boothe enunciated a simple truth that shows

According to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Joe Biden considers Trump supporters an “extreme threat to our democracy.” “President thinks that there is an extremist threat to our democracy,” Jean-Pierre said during Wednesday’s press briefing. “The President has been clear as he can be on that particular piece. When we talk about our democracy, when we talk about our freedoms, the way that he sees it is the MAGA Republicans are the most energized part of the Republican Party. That extreme — this is an extreme threat to our democracy, to our freedom, to our rights.” Later, Jean-Pierre also falsely claimed that MAGA Republicans “just don’t respect

The White House thinks they have struck gold with their attack on “MAGA Republicans” as “semi-fascist” and all the rest. President Biden’s minders in the daycare operation at the White House are wheeling him out for a primetime campaign speech addressing “the soul of the nation” tomorrow night. The speech is to take place outside Independence Hall in Philadelphia. I am following Politico’s story on the speech here. My working theory is that Biden is not a compelling advocate for the Democrats. Dems in competitive races avoid him. He is a lying phony. The theme is sickening. Biden gave it a workout in Wilkes-Barre yesterday.

There is no excuse for advanced economies to experience a shortage of electricity, or of energy generally. The world has more than ample supplies of fossil fuels. And, if you buy the global warming hype, nuclear energy is the obvious alternative, although that implies universal use of electric vehicles that are devastating to the environment. Nevertheless, an electricity crisis is upon us. From the U.K.: “Energy could be rationed ‘for years.'” "Europe faces years of energy rationing without Russian gas, the boss of Shell has warned. “Go woke, go broke” is the slogan that keeps on giving. The latest installment of woke, politically active retailers now facing financial ruin in the form of shuttering stores and mass layoffs is none other than conservative-hating Bed Bath & Beyond. According to CNBC, the retailer announced this week that it will close down 150 namesake stores, as well as plans to hand out pink slips to a whopping 20% of its workforce, mostly in the supply chain and corporate sectors of the business. The moves were announced ahead of an expected investor update on Wednesday in the company’s seemingly desperate bid to stay afloat. As you’ll recall, BBB made headlines

Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY) stock is getting smoked early Wednesday as investors get more clarity on the mess facing the struggling retailer. On Wednesday morning, in an SEC filing and a press release ahead of an investor presentation, the company outlined plans to issue more stock, close 150 stores, and fire 20% of its staff as the retailer looks to stem the bleeding from a collapse in sales. Shares of the retailer were down more than 24% in early trading as of 9:38 AM ET. In a release ahead of its investor presentation, Bed Bath & Beyond said it received commitments for $500 million in additional financing, bringing its current liquidity

June 2002: A white woman named Valinda Elliott accompanied her boss on a business trip through the Arizona desert. When their car broke down and the boss suffered heatstroke, Elliott lit a signal fire to alert a passing helicopter. Unfortunately, the fire grew into a larger blaze. At the same time, at the nearby Apache reservation, an Injun named Leonard Gregg, needing booze money, started a massive wildfire so that, as a volunteer fireman, he could get paid for putting it out. Gregg was arrested, Elliott was not. Gregg’s entire defense, backed by his tribal leaders, was, “if a nonwhite is arrested for starting a fire, a white must be arrested, too.”

Former New York City transportation commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan argued on behalf of what she called “car-free cities” to combat climate change while appearing on CNN’s “Fareed Zakaria GPS” Sunday. The former Bloomberg adviser was part of a segment that suggested cities could work to move away from cars and other vehicles in the wake of climate issues. Host Fareed Zakaria introduced the topic, noting that several European cities have already started considering bans on cars. “Many cities in Europe are flirting with banning private cars from the roads, and many more have at least partial bans in place. There is the obvious reason to combat climate change,

When candidate Joe Biden promised that if elected president he would unite the country, did he think he could do it alienating roughly half the population? Or did he mean he would unite the Democrats and independents against the “MAGA Republicans”? Thursday’s speech clearly indicates what he had in mind was the latter. Last week, Biden smeared Donald Trump supporters, calling them semi-fascists who practice “burn-it-all-down politics” and face “backwards full of anger, violence, hate and division.” One of the most appropriate and fitting responses we saw

President Joe Biden’s Thursday evening speech targeting supporters of former President Donald Trump was mocked on social media, with many users poking fun at the stage. The speech, held in Philadelphia, marked continued attacks on supporters of Trump, reiterating earlier attacks in which he claimed Republicans embraced “semi-fascism” at an Aug. 25 fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee in Maryland, and also attacked “MAGA Republicans” during a Tuesday speech in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Biden called “MAGA Republicans” a threat to democracy and doubled down on his rhetoric calling supporters of former President Donald trump “extremists.” WMAL talk show host Larry O’Connor threw the epithet Biden directed at Republicans back at the president.

The bill sets up a fund that would help the state to compete for federal money, including $230 million for port infrastructure projects available from the U.S. Department of Transportation. Illinois would enter the race behind Ohio — where the Icebreaker wind farm in Lake Erie recently won a court battle that should allow construction of a demonstration project

A recent top-secret cable sent by CIA Headquarters to its field stations apparently warned in stark terms of the loss of a substantial number of assets. In particular, the message focused on issues with the secure handling of sources and apparent errors made by CIA case officers that had led to the compromise of their sources. If true, this news ought to alarm every American, and drastic, corrective action ought to be taken immediately. CIA is taking a lot of hits these days. It should. Its leadership has gone dangerously astray and gotten involved in domestic political matters which should never be the province of a foreign intelligence organization.
