MAGA and the Memory of America

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was in Pittsburgh last week campaigning for Doug Mastriano, the Republican nominee for Pennsylvania governor. DeSantis is intelligent and articulate, but what makes him probably the most popular Republican governor in the country—and why he brought star appeal to the Keystone State—is that he fights, and wins, political battles for conservative principles. Earlier this year, the Walt Disney Company—one of the largest employers in Florida, and one of the most influential corporations in the world—opposed legislation sponsored by DeSantis that prohibited public school teachers from discussing sexual topics in kindergarten through the third grade. It was a strange position to take for a business that caters to

Are you richer today than two years ago? More food secure, safer, energy secure for cooling and warmth, children better educated, freer, borders more secure, more mobile, trust the government more, pleased with the economy, happy with the sexual lessons your 5 year old is receiving, and on and on. You had better think hard and long before you vote. Mitch, get off your asshat, get out there, and let's win this thing. Would vote for Trump again, love DeSantis.

Thank you so much for posting this. The writer has captured what millions of us feel... A longing for the true America to reemerge. Just a couple of days ago I heard this song for the first time. I was wondering how to introduce it to the L-Dotter family, and this thread is the perfect forum for that. It's an old Frank Sinatra song. It's called: The House I Live In (That's America to Me) Please search the song AND the lyrics. I wish I knew a way to suggest this to President Trump for his rallies. Please check it out. My 90 y. o. mother is very familiar with it. I'm not a Sinatra fan, but this song touches a hopeful nerve.

Very much enjoyed the article because the author understands the ethos behind the MAGA movement. He also understands Trump and DeSantis and the different perspective each brings to the political table. Right now we are in for the fight of our lives to save this country. The forces of evil are determined and void of conscience so they are prepared to do or say anything to retain their power. There is no reasoning with these people and to even try and do so is an indicator that you have not been paying attention. Democrats have no qualms about lying, cheating or doing anything legally or illegally to continue to control every aspect of our lives. They are running wild, drunk of the illegitimate power they seized and more determined than ever to finish what they started, the destruction of this country until it is a mere shell of itself. They have abandoned our founding documents and intend to rule with an iron fist and shove their godless, sexually deviant, and grossly lawless agenda down our throats. MAGA stands in complete opposition to that. It truly is a grass roots phenomenon born out of the desire to see this country reach its full potential as the exceptional nation it was before the soul destroying leftist ideology of secular humanism infiltrated our institutions. These anti-American zealots have poisoned our culture, our children, our corporations, our military and law enforcement, and are intent upon absorbing all of us into the borg of government worship. Not many would be willing or determined enough to do battle with such a formidable enemy. Although I mightily respect and admire Ron De Santis, this is President Trump’s fight. He, on behalf of the American people, should be allowed to finish what he started. He deserves to stand triumphant having defeated the enemy who has had a death grip on this country. With DeSantis by his side, the Republic would be in great hands. Give Trump four years to right the ship of state and then eight years of DeSantis to build on that foundation. We need the strongest and best equipped leaders and I believe these two men fit that bill.

Trump confronted the swamp from the swamp. DeSantis didn't have to running Florida. The swamp tried to run things in Florida, but DeSantis had ultimate control as governor of the state. Trump didn't have that luxury. He was sabotaged from the very start by people from the swamp advising him on who to hire for this position or that position, and his first two years in office show it. It was like a revolving door for the first two years with people leaving. Those swamp recommended people are still at it today. Stabbing Trump in the back every chance they get. DeSantis didn't have deal with that. Compare Trump's first two years to his last two years. Instead of what appeared to be chaos in the White House, stability was the hallmark of Trump's last two years. Trump went into D.C. thinking he could run it like a business and quickly found out that D.C.'s swamp was much deeper than he thought. Think Fauci. DeSantis didn't have to fight the swamp on everything each and every day at the state level because he was in charge. The swamp never let Trump be in charge. They fought him every step of the way, and he still accomplished more than most.

DeSantis is the face of MAGA a real fighting Patriot. Let me advise all my fellow MAGA movement people do not keep wish taking DeSantis from the Florida governorship. Get mad at me now! Here is the reason I say this, there are people who are not at all politically astute as most of us are. I have a 78-year-old friend who votes conservative but didn't know who Ron DeSantis is. Believe there are many others just like him out there. DeSantis running for top job would be in a close race at this point if a better-known democrat challenged him where the cheat would give them a win not so much with Donald Trump. Understand to play the important game slow and not go for a knockout with the possibility of losing. MAGA

Fortunately for me I don’t consider Sundance a font of political wisdom. He certainly shows his unreasonableness regarding DeSantis. The American people are suffering, due to the Democrat cheating in 2020 but obsessing over that will not bring in voters to the Republican camp. DeSantis recognizes that. Trump apparently doesn’t.
