DENVER — Colorado’s fentanyl issues may have something to do with drug demand. The United States saw a 15% increase in drug overdose deaths, according to the most recent provisional figures from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In 2021, there were 107,622 overdose deaths, up from 93,655 in the previous year. Colorado State Patrol has seized records amounts of drugs this year and in 2021. I've always said that the cure for the Drug Problem is to lace the stuff the criminals use with something bad...now I realize it's killing lots of innocents! How about we just arrest the real Criminals and give them all the drugs they want until they implode!

I remember having a conversation back when Colorado first legalized pot. I didn't really care one way or the other, but I do remember saying that pot is a gateway drug, and I expect Colorado to have big problems with people getting hooked on harder drugs. I truly wish I had been wrong, but I'm not shocked at all...

#4 There’s two sides to the coin, our neighbor, a beautiful girl and a college student got involved with heroin, she got involved with prostitution she did cold turkey in jail. After her third try at rehab she went on the marijuana maintenance program. It does her a lot of good. She stays away from heroin and she has a job. Her probation officer come around a couple times a month and she doesn’t say anything about it nor does her drug court judge. That being said it’s decriminalized in Louisiana.

Reply Number 10 I am happy to hear that this girl has moved to a safer drug, but the fact is that if she needs marijuana to get free from Heroin she is still and addict it's just a milder drug. She probably started with marijuana in the first place. I wish her all the luck in the world.

Colorado legalized pot. Denver city council OK'ed legal, city supervised, heroin injection sites. Colorado is about to legalize magic mushrooms. I'm sure legal cocaine is not too far down the liberal to-do list. Colorado is a beautiful state, but the moron voters along the Front Range ( C-Springs excepted ) out number the conservatives in the rest of the state.

You can thank dust from the Sahara Desert and fast-moving, fast-changing winds for preventing named storms from forming this hurricane season – but the dust and winds won’t last much longer. Despite the season's slow start, weather forecasters expect above-normal activity for the 2022 Atlantic hurricane season. Here’s a look at storm trends and how wind and dust can inhibit storm formation. There have been three named storms so far this year. An average Atlantic hurricane season has 14 named storms, seven of which become hurricanes. The 2005 season set a single-year record with 28 storms. Tropical Storm Colin, 2022's

The changes, signed into law Monday by Gov. Kathy Hochul, are intended to reduce the stigma of being in jail. Prison reform advocates have said the term “inmate” has a dehumanizing effect. Prisoners say it can feel degrading when jail guards refer to them as inmates, especially in front of their families during in-person visits. “Language matters,” said state Sen. Since the outset of the global monkeypox outbreak in May, public health and infectious disease experts have told the public that the virus is largely transmitting through skin-to-skin contact, in particular during sex between men. Now, however, an expanding cadre of experts has come to believe that sex between men itself — both anal as well as oral intercourse — is likely the main driver of global monkeypox transmission. The skin contact that comes with sex, these experts say, is probably much less of a risk factor.
