On paper it looked good (snip) to put it bluntly, the lunatics usurped noble efforts. There was no internal brake on the French revolutionary government.(snip) Trump was not a Thermidorian reaction, but rather the last hope of decent government before a Thermidor becomes inevitable. This article sent me to the Dictionary-- Thermidor: [noun] a moderate counterrevolutionary stage following an extremist stage of a revolution and usually characterized often through the medium of a dictatorship by an emphasis on the restoration of order, a relaxation of tensions, and some return to patterns of life held to be normal." WOW. After reading the article I'm not sure we will every turn back from the moral decay that is the basis of so much going on these days driven by the cultural destructive nature we face with so many coordinated efforts to thwart the so-called "smelly Wal-Mart shoppers". Pray hard that WE as a nation do not fall and lose our heritage over the Cultural War being foisted upon U.S.

The lunatic activists out there do not have sufficient numbers to survive real resistance. BLM is made up of fat white girls with loud mouths and the LGBTQXYZ tribe is made up of every sexually-confused moron you can think of. When they lose the protective backing of the democrats they will disappear. MAGA people, on the other hand, number in the millions and if we decide to get angry there will be lots of blood.

The final conclusion of the authors piece seems to be that the Left believes much the same way as an abusive husband does to a battered spouse; if I can't have you, then nobody can. They would rather destroy the country than let someone else control it.

The Republic of Texas approaches. Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, S Dakota, N Dakota, Montana, Alberta (Canada), Saskatchewan (Canada), Manitoba (Canada), and a few states along the sides. Let's go EAST. Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida. We have every shipping port in The Gulf of Mexico and half the Atlantic and more oil than the Saudis ever dreamed of. California and New York can print their own money. If they want to trade they can use Panama. We WILL protect our borders ,north, south, east, and west. If you're coming to visit Texas bring your US passport with the pre-approved visitor's visa.

Not even close to Thermidor, nor true revolution. What we are experiencing is really nothing new...what's new about corrupt government? The politicos have wisely bifurcated their corruption. Blame the "commie Dems" and vote Republican. Blame the "fascist Republicans" and vote Dem. Everyone has an alternative, even if it's fiction. And, except for some filigree, the outcome is largely the same. Trump is a bump turned into a mountain by those politicos. At "worst" for them it's four more years of road runner vs coyote antics. Revolution "can't happen here." People are largely fat, happy and willfully ill-informed. More stimulus, please...and less inflation this time.

He gives good examples which follow similar broad outlines. He missed the Roman Empire, which started as a Republic and endured for 450 years, and then devolved into a dictatorship. I agree that we should hope to avoid a civil war, or a revolution, whatever the name is to be. These things cannot be guided, controlled or predicted, and frequently end in dictatorship and everything worse. But, just because a certain segment of the population, like me, doesn't want something cannot necessarily prevent it from happening. The military planners recognize that they cannot predict fully, "because the enemy gets a vote". And what these crazed leftist loons do is beyond our control, unfortunately. And some of them, BLM and antifa thugs have proven that they are dangerously violent people.

One of the most interesting persons I interviewed for the New York Sun was Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace. (snip) I recently watched him on YouTube discussing his book, “Fake Invisible Catastrophes and Threats of Doom,” and it is an eye opener to anyone who still believes in the global warming hoax. (snip) Mr. Moore’s book not only documents the hardcore evidence that global warming is a not a threat to the planet, it argues that we are essentially still in an ice age. While he covers climate change, he also debunks all the other lies we’ve been fed by environmental charlatans such as Gore.

One of the most pernicious things that has happened recently in America is the 1619 Project, an error-riddled "history" of the United States that presents our nation as one predicated solely on the evils of African slavery (snip) Fast-forward from 2019, when the 1619 Project broke, to July 30, 2022, just three days ago. Commentator Matt Walsh had just finished reading Dean King's Skeletons on the Zahara: A True Story of Survival, about an American ship that wrecked on Africa's shores in 1815. The war on America's suburbs has opened a new front. Buried in President Biden's proposed budget for 2023 is a $10-billion bribe for suburban communities to remove zoning barriers to high-density housing. Hunter Biden is one of the most deeply disturbed, even revolting, people known to the American public. Yet Miranda Devine, at the New York Post, says there’s evidence that the person on whom Joe Biden is relying for political advice isn’t his wife, chief of staff, or former boss, despite what everyone thinks. Instead, it’s Hunter Biden. That would certainly explain both why and how our country is going so quickly to Hell in a handbasket. It's almost impossible to exaggerate just what an appalling man Hunter Biden is.
