A North Dakota school board has nixed reciting the Pledge of Allegiance before each meeting — deciding it didn’t align with the district’s values.
The Fargo School Board voted 7-2 Tuesday to drop the Pledge from the start of its bi-weekly meetings because members didn’t feel it was inclusive, apparently taking issue with the phrase: “under God,” according to North Dakota newspaper Inforum.
Board member Seth Holden said that because “the word ‘God’ in the text of the Pledge of Allegiance is capitalized … the text is clearly referring to the Judeo-Christian god

A parent should put on the next agenda: Red Skelton reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

Here's another "diversity " concern: What about people who do not believe in our flag, do not wish to honor it, and might prefer to pledge their allegiance to the flag of another entity or even a cause? Maybe for their sake the flag should be removed from the room. And then how about people who do not believe in local government, and would prefer that all education should be centralized in Washington? Maybe for their sake, the entire school board should be removed. And then what about the people who dislike the public school system? Maybe for their sake, the schools should be closed. Since diversity is the opposite of unanimity, if each group holds a veto over our society, the anarchists win. But maybe that is the point.

What if I decide I have the freedom to follow the laws of another country while I am living in the USA. Then I am not subject to the USA laws, right?

I wasn't aware that North Dakota had a problem with the Judeo-Christian God. I do seriously question the the words that comes after "under God," "Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for All."

Believe it or not, I was in first or second grade, in a Catholic school, when the pledge added "under god." I remember sister standing in front of the early morning line up and telling us we need to add "Under God" after 'one nation.' We stuttered through it for a day or two then totally forgot we'd never said it that way before.

Afraid not #2. These are godless liberals we are looking at here. They refuse to acknowledge God and they will pay the price someday for mocking Him and His Glory.

When Ike assumed the Presidency, he mentioned that this nation needed a renewal. One of the results of the time was the addition of UNDER GOD into the Pledge. There was indeed a renewal at the time.
Can you imagine a world where young people do not go around yelling the F word?

I have no concern about how the godless conduct themselves in their oaths and pledges. God has set aside people for Himself who will prevail in the end. We will always refer to God in absolute reverence and respect. Let the pagans be pagans.

Expect to see the next school board meeting (and hopefully many more after that one) with wall-to-wall standing room only crowds of parents who will break into the pledge so loud that the board won't be able to shut them down.
Hopefully the best thing to come out of this will be a solid slate of conservative school board candidates running in the next election and winning by huge margins over these Satan-loving lie-berals!!!!!!!

Haven’t heard a peep about the thoughts and reactions of the parents & citizens of Fargo. These people are only as powerful as you allow them to be.
In all of their “concern” about offending people, their priority should be concerns about offending the One and only true and living God, our Creator, who has said, “You shall have no other gods before Me.” Exodus 20:3
Hebrews 10:29 “Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
America allows everyone the freedom to worship as they choose. Forcing American citizens to abandon their freedoms in order not to offend the beliefs of people who come here from other countries goes far beyond simply offensive, and the people pushing that agenda know it very well.
