IRS: Gestapo in the Making

Inflation is skyrocketing. Gas prices, despite Old Joe Biden’s crowing about minor reductions, are still substantially higher than they were before his presidency was inflicted upon us. America’s global standing is drastically diminished by Biden’s handlers’ catastrophically botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, due to the lack of preparedness of a politicized military distracted by wokeism. The Southern border is essentially nonexistent, and due to that as well as to the arrival of tens of thousands of unvetted Afghan migrants, there is an unknowable number of criminals and terrorists in the country who would have been kept out by remotely sane immigration policies. Amid all this and much more,

They’ll bring you in for questioning- about the last three years of your tax returns. After all, they’re civilized, they don’t bring people in for questioning without a solid pretext. Exactly where do your loyalties lie, mr taxpayer? These charitable contributions were made to some ideologically questionable charities. Have you ever attended a Trump rally?

Watch out for the IRS. Document their actions. Video tape encounters with IRS agents. Do the same with FBI and ATF.

The IRS currently cannot process the tax returns they received for tax years 2021 and 2020. Millions of returns are piled up in IRS processing centers. So they can't audit what hasn't been processed. A hundred thousand armed IRS agents are there for one purpose, to act as the Sheriffs of Nottingham and collect taxes for the King, Lame Duck Joe.

I've been calling them the Taxtapo for a long time. Their whole job is to instill fear into the citizenry, except of course the privileged ones. People will gladly pay what they think is a fair and well spent tax, we wouldn't need the IRS. Beyond that amount they need to use force, oppressive tyrannical force, to get people's money. Thus, the Taxstapo. The more percentage they take, the more force they need to take it.

Lady Chihuahua told me a story she found on a forum she follows. Retired worker moved to Australia. He went to deposit his pension check (from an American company) into an Australian bank. The bank would not accept American checks for deposit. They contacted the company running the pension and their former employer. Neither could help. Nor could they explain why this is happening. He figures his most likely course of action will be to deposit his pension into an American bank with offices worldwide. Why is this happening? The IRS. Trying to keep people from 'hiding their money'.

A simple fix for Republicans, if they really want one. Congress appropriates money for the Federal budget. Once Pubs get the House, and hopefully Senate, back, cut the IRS's budget by 75% for next year. All the new hires will be back on the street.

Near as I can tell the overwhelming majority of IRS employees are black affirmative action folks, and apparently they are pretty incompetent, and/or just lazy. The work isn't getting done. Years of returns backing up. So, if they hire more incompetent affirmative action racial minorities, they'll have not much other than a sink for a lot of taxpayer money.

"Gestapo" is a contraction of Geheimer Staats Polizei - - - - GE-STA-PO - - which translates into English as Domestic State Police. So - - we should henceforth refer to the former IRS - - as the "Dostapo" - - Brandon Bewildered's personal domestic terror group. Dostapo!

What are we to make of 30 or so FBI agents raiding President Trump’s Florida home to collect maybe 35 boxes of records for what is perhaps the Deep State’s 7th or 8th impeachment attempt? First, why no raids on the Democrats who took the jet to Epstein’s pedophile island with its readily available sex with underage girls? Why no raids on Hunter Biden and the apparent crimes documented on the laptop? Why no raids on Hilary Clinton after she destroyed evidence? The good news, and I think it is great news, is that at least a third of the country no longer believes they can expect justice

When the FBI raided Donald Trump’s home on Monday, a key aspect of what made the United States of America great and free has been lost, and likely cannot be recovered. John Adams and Thomas Jefferson detested one another for years before their eventual reconciliation, but neither one used the agencies of the U.S. government to hound, persecute or discredit the other. Other bitter political opponents throughout the history of the republic have never before used the government’s own mechanisms of justice to do injustice to their foes. Joe Biden, Merrick Garland and their henchmen have brought America to a new phase of its history, and it is not likely

TALLAHASSEE - Trulieve, the state's largest medical-marijuana operator, and country-music legends The Bellamy Brothers are backing a proposed constitutional amendment that would allow recreational use of marijuana by people 21 or older. The proposed amendment was filed Monday at the state Division of Elections, with Tallahassee-based Trulieve contributing $5 million to the effort to get the measure on the 2024 ballot. Other multi-state medical marijuana operators also are expected to support the campaign. Florida voters passed a constitutional amendment in 2016 to broadly legalize medical marijuana, and nearly 800,000 patients have been authorized for the treatment. While past recreational-marijuana initiatives in the state have failed,

I’ll have a lot more to say about the so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” in due course after I finish unpacking and catching up with five weeks of snail-mail and other things in the pile, but as an opening generalization it should be said that by passing massive subsidies for wind and solar power, the U.S. has decided to emulate Germany’s energiewende (“energy revolution”) policy that it adopted 20 years ago. It has been a total bust. Emissions reductions in Germany stalled out several years ago, and soaring energy prices (along with dependence on Russian natural gas) now threaten Germany’s entire industrial sector, not to mention a cold winter ahead

Everyone can sense that the political situation we find ourselves in is anything but normal. Yet the language we use to describe current conflicts is a language designed to frame them in the category of politics as usual - only perhaps more so. In speaking about current conflicts, we focus on the surface “issues” that divide us – a record inflation, off-the-charts crime waves in our urban centers, a humanitarian crisis at our southern border. Sometimes we sum it up as a double standard in the justice system that treats violent leftists as “peaceful protesters” and public school parents concerned about the abuse of their children as “domestic terrorists.”

Senator Kyrsten Sinema has signed on to a slightly tweaked version of the Schumer/Manchin Bummer Beyond Belief bill that is to be passed via the reconciliation process. Politico reports on Sinema’s approval here. Judging by the ecstasy of the Star Tribune editorial board about the bill — they buy it “price controls” hook, “climate control” line, and “inflation reduction” sinker — it is a destructive mess. The editors get extra credit for treating Amy Klobuchar as some kind of an authority. Classic. I turn to one of our readers who writes with comments on the idiotic Star Tribune editorial that go to the merits of the Schumer/Manchin bill.

This is shocking, or would be in a sane world: Gina McCarthy, the Biden administration’s National Climate Advisor, is openly calling on tech companies like Facebook and Twitter to censor any dissent from the administration’s “green” fantasies. Are Democrats really this dumb, or are they counting on their supporters being even dumber? The answer isn’t always obvious, but it’s usually a little of both – Democrats are that dumb AND their supporters are particularly stupid – which way the scales tilt in any particular instance depends on the participants. It must be a liberating feeling to be one of those people going on TV knowing that no matter how ignorant you are, no one is going to know the truth or question you out of fear of being destroyed by the left-wing mob. That echo chamber protects some of the most ignorant creatures

On Monday evening, the FBI took the unprecedented step of raiding the home of former President Donald Trump. What were they looking for? Astonishingly, what is being leaked to the media is that they were after documents that possibly violated the Presidential Records Act. Far from their promises of proving some grand conspiracy involving January 6th, it appears the Democrats, using the power of the nation’s federal law enforcement apparatus, are trying to take Donald Trump out with selective enforcement of provisions that are normally handled in a civil, not criminal manner. Where have we seen that before? None of this is a coincidence, and none of it is justified.
