WASHINGTON—President Biden’s schedule shows he has a fondness for travel to Delaware and the occasional game of golf—and a cautious approach to formal interviews and press conferences. As the summer draws to a close, Mr. Biden is planning to spend some time away in August, starting later this week with a trip to Kiawah Island, S.C. In his first 18 months in office, he traveled to Delaware 46 times and to Camp David 18 times. He played 15 rounds of golf, conducted 17 formal press conferences and gave 20 sit-down interviews, according to former CBS News White House correspondent Mark

We can all see that he worked his fingers to the bone and urgently needs a rest. 2 weeks in quarantine where he planned the invasion of Trump's estate just put him over the top. As usual he knew nothing about that as he usually knows nothing about what he babbles. Problems? Blame others. Difficult and problematic situations? Let Austin handle it with his CRT!! See, the country is in great shape as he is 'riding on the crest of his success' as some CNN vegetable claims! Right! Why am I considering that perhaps I should immigrate to Russia????

During interviews where Biden takes scripted questions he make equally incoherent dummy Nancy Pelosi look like a genius. Of course his handlers want to make sure those are light. As far as his Delaware comings and goings the meds that have the Jotard on need constant adjusting away from the public record of the WH. It's such hard work destroying my beloved country in just under two years so Slow Wit Joe needs his rest.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) was projected to win her primary in Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District, setting up a likely third term in the House for a progressive member who has proven to be a GOP lightning rod since entering Congress. NBC and CNN both called the race shortly before 11:30 p.m. EDT. The race proved unexpectedly close, however, with her Democratic opponent Don Samuels trailing her by only a few percentage points. A member of the “Squad,” a progressive group of Democrats in the House, Omar became the first Somali-American to be elected to Congress in 2018, in addition to

Twenty-eight civil rights and health care groups announced Tuesday they have requested that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) address “dietary racism” in national school lunch programs, raising concerns to the federal agency about forcing millions of minority children to drink cow’s milk without allowing them a healthier alternative. (Snip) “If Black lives matter, so does our health and nutrition, but the National School Lunch Program has consistently failed children of color,” said Milton Mills, a Washington, D.C., urgent care physician who has researched the topic, in a statement. “Either schoolchildren drink the milk they’re given and suffer in class

President Joe Biden's Tuesday remarks at a signing ceremony for the CHIPS and Science Act were punctuated by extremely heavy, repeated coughing. The speech marked Biden's second public appearance since returning to normal work following a two-week COVID-19 isolation. The president's physician, Kevin O'Connor, informed reporters that Biden had developed a "loose cough" during his rebound infection, although the symptoms dissipated throughout the week. (Tweet) The cough persisted throughout Biden's remarks and eventually forced him to blow his nose and repeatedly take sips of water from a glass at the podium. "Excuse me," the president said during one such outburst.

DETROIT — A tax credit of up to $7,500 could be used to defray the cost of an electric vehicle under the Inflation Reduction Act now moving toward final approval in Congress. But the auto industry is warning that the vast majority of EV purchases won’t qualify for a tax credit that large. That’s mainly because of the bill’s requirement that, to qualify for the credit, an electric vehicle must contain a battery built in North America with minerals mined or recycled on the continent. And those rules become more stringent over time — to the point where, in a

An Arkansas judge drowned in a lake during a weekend getaway with family and friends, authorities said. The body of Arkansas County Northern District Judge Jeremiah T. Bueker was recovered early Sunday from the bottom of Mud Lake in Jefferson County, sheriff officials said in a statement. He was 48. The judge was spending time with several relatives and friends during a “recreational” outing over the weekend when he ventured off alone, authorities said. “After time had passed and no one had seen or heard from Bueker, worry began to set in,” sheriff officials said Sunday. Bueker was last seen

When he was 6 years old, Sim Bilal began to have nightmares of floods pouring through his South Los Angeles home. The bad dreams started when he first watched Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth," a seminal documentary about human-driven global warming, with his parents. For years, he struggled with severe anxiety over the fate of the planet. For a time, he would return from school and lie in bed, feeling powerless over the growing climate crisis. "I’m not a very emotional person, but this is such a huge existential issue," said Bilal, 20. "It's really debilitating.” As he learned more
Democrats have completely given up on Iowa 8 replies

As recently as 2012, Iowa was basically a Democratic state that occasionally voted Republican. The political legacy of former Democratic Sen. Tom Harkin was still a very big deal. Three of Iowa's five congressmen were Democrats. Iowa had a very socially conservative Republican tradition, but it also had a strong left-wing populist Democratic tradition. (Snip) The official argument for this change, of course, is that Iowa is 90% white, so it no longer looks like the Democratic Party. Sorry, you're just too white to get the first shot at choosing our party nominee. But then, it was Iowa caucusgoers who

The US summer driving season is a bust. But that’s no bad thing. With less than a month until Labor Day, which marks the end of the peak gasoline demand season, deliveries of the fuel have dropped below the level seen during the pandemic summer of 2020. On a four-week average basis, which smooths out a lot of the noise in the weekly figures, gasoline deliveries from primary storage facilities, which the Energy Information Administration measures as a proxy for demand, slipped below those seen in the same period two years ago. On Monday evening, the FBI took the unprecedented step of raiding the home of former President Donald Trump. What were they looking for? Astonishingly, what is being leaked to the media is that they were after documents that possibly violated the Presidential Records Act. Far from their promises of proving some grand conspiracy involving January 6th, it appears the Democrats, using the power of the nation’s federal law enforcement apparatus, are trying to take Donald Trump out with selective enforcement of provisions that are normally handled in a civil, not criminal manner. Where have we seen that before? None of this is a coincidence, and none of it is justified.

Nobody was given a heads up and we did not know about what happened yesterday.” Asked if the president is concerned about the potential for politically fueled violence in the wake of the raid, she said: “We would ask Americans to remain peaceful at this time.”
