Trump raid: What's the Biden/Garland endgame?

There has to be one, right? The FBI doesn’t just go to a federal judge for a search warrant for the home of a former president on its own — and presumably a federal judge doesn’t just casually sign off on such a request, either. NBC’s Ken Dilanian urges caution in jumping to conclusions at this point, but states the obvious when saying that this had to have gotten approved by Attorney General Merrick Garland prior to the raid on Mar-a-Lago:(Snip) Dilanian’s correct that it’s no small matter to get a federal judge to sign off on a warrant, let alone one targeting a former president who

I pray that President Trump's first act, when he returns to the White House, is to dissolve the FBI and The DOJ.

Just as the Godfather had judges in his pockets, I’m sure the Dems have quite a few in their pockets. Since judges suffer little if any blowback for decisions like these, unless they are R’s or real judges, any of them would sign and go back to watching tv.

Actually it too damn easy to get a judge to sign a warrant. All it takes is some arse-hole to lie to a judge and a judge too damn lazy to ask questions. Example: the FISA court-approved warrants to spy on Trump's campaign.

Maybe it is meant as a distraction to take our mind away from the fact that today is the day that Supreme Court Says Biden Administration Can End ‘Stay in Mexico' Policy. Also there is the vote for an extra 87,000 I.R.S. Agents. Remember when Lois Lerner headed the IRS division that processes applications for tax-exempt groups. An inspector general’s report in 2013 found that the IRS had singled out conservative and tea party groups for extra scrutiny when they applied for tax-exempt status. Many had their applications delayed for months and years. Some were asked improper questions about their donors and even their religious practices.

If you're thinking End Game then you have to include at the top of the list the name Obama. He had long before this raid weaponized all Government agencies to continue his 3rd Term and the fundamental transformation of the U.S. And he will not stop at a 3rd term.

The person who signed the warrant was a Magistrate Judge named Bruce Reinhardt. He has a disturbing history, including switching from prosecuting Epstein associates to defending them. Needless to say, he contributed to Obama.

The End Game? To utterly destroy PDJT, by whatever means necessary. You can argue the definition of destroy. I think it means either leg irons and handcuffs, or permanent disability. Either one is likely to have unintended consequences for some of the Deep Staters.

"Keep your powder dry." Famous last words that have been bandied about since the Tea Party IRS imbroglio, the '20 elections, J6, and now this. "Don't fall into their trap." Whose trap? No one advocates burning down Federal buildings or smashing Main Street store windows. But a little "powder discharge" in the vein of the Czech Velvet Revolution might be in order. While "real conservatives" wring their hands advocating "cold anger" rather than action, it's more than lunch being stolen time and again. It's a bit foolish to whine for months about fixed elections and then proclaim the ballot box will fix things. Where's the proof of that? Even if the elections aren't fixed...with Mitch, Graham, Romney and all the rest representing "the right". What would "the left" do to this Federal Magistrate Judge who signed the warrant? Well, but that wouldn't be polite. You either fight back smartly or surrender.

I think it will take a while before we will know exactly what prompted this Raid. We all know the FBI isn't above planting something in Trump's home that will take him out of a run for the Presidency. It could happen! Nothing will surprise me after that Raid! Thant said, I know the Democrats fear a Trump Presidency because they KNOW he is keeping score and they are going down, one by one! But! I don't think they understand fully what a DeSantis Presidency would be like. They haven't been pay attention. He is fearless! He Rides right in on his White Horse and handles any situation he thinks is threatening his State. He has been a great Governor! He certainly will be as much a threat, and maybe more so, than Trump! He took on Disney for Gosh sakes! Democrats had better worry a bit more about him and less about Trump! And WHAT IF They are BOTH on the Ballot!! Just think what they could get done, in less time, if Trump would take DeSantis as his Vice President! Our Guys would Slash and Burn through D.C. and the Government before they knew what hit them!

Just a clarification: A U.S. Magistrate Judge, though authorized to sign search warrants, is not an "Article III Judge" (U.S. Constitution) appointed by a president and confirmed by the Senate. The magistrate is appointed for a renewable term of eight years by the judges of the district court. I am surprised that DOJ would go to a magistrate in the case of searching the home of a former president, but suspect it was to avoid public discussion over which president appointed the judge who signed the warrant.

Did Garland go behind Lame Duck Joe's back and not inform him that a raid would be conducted on a former President? If yes, then LDJ should fire Garland. If no, then LDJ should still fire Garland as a precedent has been set, all future and former Presidents are fair political game for any future Executive Branch of Government. Don't hold your breath on Garland being fired.

As far as the judge signing off on it he appears to be a special kind of dirtbag himself, but beyond that the FBI has a long history now of lying to get warrants. If there is an end game it is driven by desperation. The deep state needs to prevent Trump from regaining the White House because he is not going to make the same big mistake he made the first time around in assuming most folks in government are honorable civil servants and he is not going to allow the deep state and often his own appointees subvert him. If Trump gets back in people are going to jail. With that as the driver the deep state is willing to go to any length and commit any crime to get Trump before he can get them. I think it is pretty much a sure bet they will indict Trump on something, put him on trial in the DC Circuit in front of 12 highly partisan jurors and one of the circuits nutso judges, get a conviction, and try to put him in prison. I also think that could set off serious civil unrest. People have taken about as much as they can stand. We are treading in very dangerous waters right now.

There's no way in Hades that the magistrate judge who approved and signed this warrant did not take it seriously, given that it was a historically unique event and possibly illegal or unconstitutional. The magistrate judge either very carefully reviewed and interrogated the attorneys requesting the warrant over their claim of probable cause; or--and most likely--this judge is an extreme leftist who is willing to take a fall for the woke/leftist/communist cause if the warrant is later thrown out on appeal. He is surely a Deep State insider, possibly one who has a shady past that the FBI is threatening to expose as their leverage.

Newsom is calling for a boycott of Georgia by the entertainment industry. The workers in Georgia aren’t very happy about that.Democrat governors are pitching their states as an alternative home for businesses currently with deep ties to states like Georgia. With inflation raging and the shadow of recession looming, it’s difficult to envision a worse time to pass a tax-and-spend bill like the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). Yet, that’s just what Senate Democrats did Sunday. It’s even harder to imagine that “moderate” Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.), both of whom voted for the bill, believe it will live up to its Orwellian name. If so, they are at odds with the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), hundreds of economists, millions of Americans, and even Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

Pressed on if this was a question of letting the perfect be the enemy of the good on this, she said “the problem here is this bill is not an obvious improvement over where we stand right now.”

In Virginia’s 2021 gubernatorial contest Democrat Terry McAuliffe based his campaign on the fiction that Republican Glenn Youngkin was a “Trump wannabe.” McAuliffe lost in a state Biden had carried by 10 points. Thursday morning, the Commerce Department admitted what most Americans already knew — the nation is in the midst of a recession. The economy has contracted for the second consecutive quarter this year. During the first quarter, gross domestic product (GDP) shrank by 1.6 percent, and it shriveled another 0.9 percent during the quarter that just ended. Thus, the Biden economy now meets the standard benchmark economists have used for decades to define “recession.” Inevitably, the White House, its accomplices in Congress, and the corporate media are again trying to gaslight the voters.
