Democrats have completely given up on Iowa

Original Article

As recently as 2012, Iowa was basically a Democratic state that occasionally voted Republican. The political legacy of former Democratic Sen. Tom Harkin was still a very big deal. Three of Iowa's five congressmen were Democrats. Iowa had a very socially conservative Republican tradition, but it also had a strong left-wing populist Democratic tradition. (Snip) The official argument for this change, of course, is that Iowa is 90% white, so it no longer looks like the Democratic Party. Sorry, you're just too white to get the first shot at choosing our party nominee. But then, it was Iowa caucusgoers who

Comments:

Dems will double-down on having elitist whites in control with some bones thrown to minorities and illegal immigrants. They have no use for Iowa or any state like it.

90% white? Probably 98% straight Probably not filled with abortionists and baby killers. No cities with killings every weekend. A place where men are men and their pronouns make sense. Not popular with illegals They probably don't even watch Women's B-ball and soccer.

Think about this. They pass this ridiculous tax bill just before an election with no concern about the consequences and then this article about Iowa. What’s going on? Is the fix in AGAIN?

Sounds like my kind of state. There has to be a state where democrats have no desire to go that's where I want to be. Texas is not a safe haven but a mountain to be conquered by the left, Texas is a target. Florida is great by going to be crowed in the future and I don't like the weather there. I guess I'll live out my years in this desert.

An Arkansas judge drowned in a lake during a weekend getaway with family and friends, authorities said. The body of Arkansas County Northern District Judge Jeremiah T. Bueker was recovered early Sunday from the bottom of Mud Lake in Jefferson County, sheriff officials said in a statement. He was 48. The judge was spending time with several relatives and friends during a “recreational” outing over the weekend when he ventured off alone, authorities said. “After time had passed and no one had seen or heard from Bueker, worry began to set in,” sheriff officials said Sunday. Bueker was last seen

WASHINGTON—President Biden’s schedule shows he has a fondness for travel to Delaware and the occasional game of golf—and a cautious approach to formal interviews and press conferences. As the summer draws to a close, Mr. Biden is planning to spend some time away in August, starting later this week with a trip to Kiawah Island, S.C. In his first 18 months in office, he traveled to Delaware 46 times and to Camp David 18 times. He played 15 rounds of golf, conducted 17 formal press conferences and gave 20 sit-down interviews, according to former CBS News White House correspondent Mark

When he was 6 years old, Sim Bilal began to have nightmares of floods pouring through his South Los Angeles home. The bad dreams started when he first watched Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth," a seminal documentary about human-driven global warming, with his parents. For years, he struggled with severe anxiety over the fate of the planet. For a time, he would return from school and lie in bed, feeling powerless over the growing climate crisis. "I’m not a very emotional person, but this is such a huge existential issue," said Bilal, 20. "It's really debilitating.” As he learned more

The US summer driving season is a bust. But that’s no bad thing. With less than a month until Labor Day, which marks the end of the peak gasoline demand season, deliveries of the fuel have dropped below the level seen during the pandemic summer of 2020. On a four-week average basis, which smooths out a lot of the noise in the weekly figures, gasoline deliveries from primary storage facilities, which the Energy Information Administration measures as a proxy for demand, slipped below those seen in the same period two years ago. Driving Season's a Bust Gasoline demand is lower

Los Angeles voters will cast their ballot on a proposal that could force hotels to house the homeless, a policy that has many hotel owners concerned about how it will impact public safety. President of the Northeast Los Angeles Hotel Owners Association Ray Patel joined "Fox & Friends Weekend," Sunday, to discuss why the policy is not a long-term solution and his worry if the policy is adopted. "This is not a solution, it's just a temporary fix," Patel told co-host Carley Shimkus. "And during Project Roomkey, a great example, they housed the unhoused in the hotels – but the government

California Gov. It mentions the "robust tax incentives" and "the best culture" for creators, adding: "Most importantly, we share your values." "Over the past several years, the legislatures of states like Georgia and Oklahoma have waged a

Carbon offsets generated from forests to counteract future climate-warming emissions from California's big polluters are rapidly being depleted as trees are ravaged by wildfire and disease, new research published on Friday suggests. One of California's key policy tools to combat climate change may be falling far short of its goals, the researchers said - raising questions about similar carbon offset programs around the world. The study, published in the journal Frontiers in Forests and Global Change, was conducted by CarbonPlan, a San Francisco-based non-profit that researches the integrity of programs designed to offset carbon emissions. The group's research has questioned the

With inflation raging and the shadow of recession looming, it’s difficult to envision a worse time to pass a tax-and-spend bill like the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). Yet, that’s just what Senate Democrats did Sunday. It’s even harder to imagine that “moderate” Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.), both of whom voted for the bill, believe it will live up to its Orwellian name. If so, they are at odds with the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), hundreds of economists, millions of Americans, and even Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

Even before he became president, the now-79-year-old Joe Biden faced serious and persistent questions about his mental health. Among average Americans, those questions have become a major issue, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. The I&I/TIPP Poll, conducted online from Aug. 2-4 among 1,335 adults nationwide, shows that a 59% majority now say they are “very concerned” (36%) or “somewhat concerned” about Biden’s mental health. That compares with just 39% saying they are “not very concerned” (18%) or “not at all concerned” (21%). Only 2% of respondents said they were “not sure.” The poll has a margin of error of +/-2.8 percentage points.
