Attempts to Redefine 'Recession' Reach
a Fever-Pitch, Past Statements Tell a
Different Story

For about 70 years, the definition of a recession has been simple: Two straight quarters of negative GDP growth. Everyone who has taken an Economics 101 class was taught the same thing, and until recently, there has been no argument on the matter. In fact, the only time in modern history where two-straight quarters of negative growth didn’t define a recession was at the beginning of George W. Bush’s term. In that case, a single quarter of negative growth was used as the deciding point. (Tweet)

The recession under 'Bush 41' was one of the mildest in history. The Clintonites spun it as the worst in history with the media's help. But '41' was too inept to correct the record (Must be prudent, etc....)

When 70% of those polled think Brandon is doing a bad job, trying this type of absurdity will only make matters worse for dems. The majority of Americans are already suffering tangible and significant destructive impacts from Brandon's my way or the highway economy. They are very ready to believe the worst of dem policies. The desperate media is going to destroy the 10% credibility that they have left. Trying to tell people the sun is really the moon is insane and maybe that is a valid way to think about the progressives, insane.

The blatant attempts of Democrats to change the rules and redefine what is already well defined, elucidates the disrespect that the Democrats have for the public. The sheep in the population are eager to be fooled as they are easily co-opted into the Democrats’ cynical subterfuge … THEY are the primary targets of the Progressives distractive strategy. The media are FULL OF SHEEP.

Republican Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers lost his bid for a state Senate seat after refusing then-President Donald Trump´s pleas to help overturn the 2020 election results and testifying before Congress about the efforts. Bowers tried to move to the state Senate because of term limits. He lost to former state Senator David Farnsworth, who criticized him for refusing to help Trump or go along with a contentious 2021 'audit' that Republican leaders in the Senate commissioned.

For months, Republicans have been telling anybody who would listen that this is the year they will end their power outage in Albany. They cite violent crime and inflation, an apparent lack of enthusiasm for Gov. Hochul and a national fury over the failures of the Biden administration. Despite those advantages, there’s been little evidence so far that the GOP could free New York from the Dem stranglehold. A Tuesday poll begins to change that. Hochul leads Republican Lee Zeldin by just 14 points, 53-39, in the Siena College survey.

The hellfire missiles that are said to have taken out Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, but not his family, are a newer generation of missiles that are high on precision and devoid of explosives. The AGM 14 R9X missile, made by Lockheed Martin, can be fired from, in Zawahiri’s case, a Reaper drone as well as other platforms. It can be fired from 600 miles away. Because its payload is tungsten and not packed explosives, this version of the hellfire doesn’t have the accompanying explosion– unless it hits, for instance, a full gas tank in a car.
