MADISON – Less than two years ago, Ginger Urbanik was planning a funeral for her only son after he was killed by a drunken driver who had veered into oncoming traffic. Now, still grieving one child, she's making the same arrangements for her daughter and granddaughter.

Comments:

Wisconsin Senator kills a mom and her 5 year old daughter last Friday. The kicker is she had cataract surgery the day before. No charges filed yet. Oh and she’s a ‘rat.

Blood alcohol level? Just asking. Everyone knows democrats can’t handle their liquor (Ted Kennedy, Paul Pelosi, etc),.......they should stick with crack cocaine and meth.

I’m sure the old lady was very busy trying to help a lot of people and so two lives is really pretty insignificant in view of what she wants do for people. Besides “what difference at this point does it make?” And as bidet would say “that was 5 days ago!” Remember: dims good, Republicans bad.

The democrat affiliation of Bewley is printed in the second paragraph. That is an unusual instance of responsible reporting by a liberal newspaper.

Words can't swage the grief this woman is suffering. The only police is the knowledge that her daughter and granddaughter die to once again prove Democrats can murder without consequence. Sadly, it is a multi-generational event. We need common sense Democrats driving control laws!

Last November I had cataract surgery plus correction of astigmatism and myopia, one eye at a time over a two week period. During such surgery the patient is anesthetized, both overall (slightly) and in the affected eye. The first day of surgery my Uber didn't arrive at my home, so I had to drive to the surgical center. After surgery, I felt I could have driven, but the eye surgeon's policy was not to allow anyone to drive after anesthesia. And to make sure that didn't happen. Consequently, I left my car at the surgical center, took a cab home--no more Uber!!--and took a cab ride back the next day to retrieve my car. For the next eye, I cabbed there and back safely. The fatal car accident in this article happened the day after the senator's cataract surgery, so surgical anesthesia the day before should not be an issue. What else was the senator on? Drink? Drugs?

We had a driver that had cataract surgery and the Dr wouldn’t let him drive ANYTHING for 3 days after his surgery. Different states or different doctors, who knows? It would be interesting to know if she’d been released to drive.

If Bewley is charged and convicted, which is doubtful, I predict a tearful sentencing hearing. And no jail time because, after all, Ms. Bewley has already suffered enough.

The Senator's " thoughts and prayers" are with the family of the people she killed. That's pretty meaningless to the parents/grandparents of the two who are gone. Especially since she's only paying lip service to the phrase and I believe the family knows that. I doubt any prayers will be offered and no thoughts will come to her mind concerning what she did. Maybe she'll think about a possible civil suit though! Legal consequences should definitely be in Bewley's future but I doubt she'll face any at all. I think #11 is right.

This proves that Dems are stupid (not listening to post op directions) and they think that they are in some special bubble of protection. Ha! Smacks of Chappaquiddik! My sincere sympathies go to this poor woman. No one should have to bury any of their children, let alone 2, and both by car accidents. I would love to know her GoFundMe page site.

Dozens of former Republican and Democrat officials have teamed up with Andrew Yang to join a third party, the Forward Party, which will launch on Thursday, according to a Reuters report. The Forward Party announcement comes nearly one year after Yang announced his departure from the Democrat Party to develop a third party. Yang rose to prominence with his failed 2020 presidential run as a Democrat, where he promoted Universal Basic Income. The Forward Party will be co-chaired by Yang and former Republican New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman. The new party is an amalgamation of three political groups that find themselves disgruntled with America’s increasingly polarized political system.

President Biden said the United States "is not in a recession," despite Thursday's GDP report, saying it is "no surprise that the economy is slowing down" amid inflation. The U.S. economy shrank in the spring for the second consecutive quarter, meeting the criteria for a recession as record-high inflation and higher interest rates forced consumers and businesses to pull back on spending. Gross domestic product, the broadest measure of goods and services produced across the economy, shrank by 0.9% on an annualized basis in the three-month period from April through June, the Commerce Department said in its first reading of

President Joe Biden said the U.S. economy is “on the right path” on Thursday, hours after the Bureau of Economic Analysis announced that GDP had contracted for the second consecutive quarter, sending the U.S. into a recession. GDP fell .9 percent in the second quarter from April to June, the Bureau of Economic Analysis announced Thursday. The traditional definition of a recession is two consecutive quarters of GDP contraction, though the Biden administration has in recent weeks tried to redefine the term along more subjective lines. “Coming off of last year’s historic economic growth – and regaining all the private sector jobs lost during the pandemic crisis – it’s no surprise

The U.S. economy contracted in the second quarter of 2022 as the economy was battered by four-decade high inflation, record high fuel prices, soaring food costs, and tighter monetary policy. The government reported Thursday that Gross Domestic Product shrank by 0.9 percent in the April through June period. Economists had expected the economy to grow by 0.3 percent, according to the Wall Street Journal. The economy contracted by 1.6 percent in the second quarter. Many Americans consider two straight quarters of recession to be the marker of a recession. Economists, however, rely on the determination of the National Bureau of Economic Research to say when a recession starts.
