I have a hot flash for the halfwit judge who granted him bail: you’ll never see him again. He’s here on a green card. He’ll be back in Mexico, if he isn’t there already, and extradition is just one of those funny gringo words down there. He won’t be back to face trial.

For those who didn't read the article or view the video: Aguilera-Mederos is a Cuban national who has been in this country legally for five years and is working legally on a green card. He claimed the crash was caused by a loss of brakes. The video was streamed by his wife with the permission of his attorney and his psychologist. Aguilera-Mederos expresses his sorrow, regrets, and condolences to the families who lost loved ones in the crash, and thanks those who have supported him and his family since the tragedy. While out on bond he is not allowed to leave the state of Colorado. His next hearing date is set for mid-July.

He should still be in jail. He killed four people due to incompetence and negligence.
He is not a US citizen, is a HUGE risk of fleeing the country.
Who would help this guy get out of jail?

Several motorists with dash cams showed he was driving recklessly well before the crash. His truck reached speeds of 85 MPH. And he bypassed several run-off ramps for vehicles that have lost their brakes. If he doesn't run away, he won't see his girlfriend's gams for quite some time.

He's hurt. It's hard for him. Poor baby. And why are people giving him money? Won't their relatives in Mexico be short this month?

This is a man who tried to run from the scene of the accident and was stopped by bystanders. That's not the behavior of someone who takes responsibility for his mistakes, and who will let the judicial system decide his fate. My guess is he has no clue how much trouble he's in, probably because he can't speak or read English and he's relying on someone else (like his lawyer) to tell him what's going on. "Bad brakes" is not going to keep him out of jail when there is video of him barreling past a clearly-marked runaway truck ramp, and four people died in an accident he caused. When he finally does get a clue he'll vamoose. He has very little to lose - if he's convicted, he'll get a long sentence, and will be deported when he gets out. He's blown his chance at citizenship.

And the USPS is running experiments with self-driving, filled to the brim 18 wheelers. At least the first responders won't have to chase anybody, and if the USPS sets up their servers in Mexico … who knows?

A Legal Cuban Green Card Immigrant, who can't speak English and maybe cannot read English, driving a SEMI going 85 miles an hour? Did he not know how to read numbers also? Well, obviously someone broke the law and I'm absolutely sure it wasn't the 4 who got killed!

There is a reason that many rental car companies assess a surcharge to renters under age 25, yet this trucking company hired a 23 year old to drive a truck on the highway. SMH.

If you watch the video, you'll at first think they were hacked by a soft porn site. His girlfriend doesn't know how to dress appropriately. And you need to speak Spanish so you understand what he's saying. Truly, his lawyer probably had a heart attack when he learned of this livestream. Personally, I hope he's digging his hole deeper with this. HIs first hearing is July 11 so we'll find out if he shows up or not.
