JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. – The 23-year-old semi driver accused of causing a fiery crash on Interstate 70 that killed four people and left many others injured bonded out of jail Saturday night.
Rogel Lazaro Aguilera-Mederos was charged with four counts of vehicular homicide by reckless driving, six counts of first-degree assault and 24 counts of attempted first-degree assault earlier this month.

Above poster stated my thoughts, exactly. Hope Aguilera-Mederos takes an entire truckful of his fellow compatriots with him, and do us a small favor. There are so many attempting to come across our US/Mexico border that it may take him some time to pass through the hordes of desperate illegals seeking asylum under false circumstances. What a nightmare!! Will it ever end b/f the eunuchs in Congress perform their duties.

Commercial trucks are required to have insurance. I will be willing to bet that we will find that the company he drove for will be covered by having the truck being owned by the driver and the trailer owned by them or someone else. The insurance company will not speak English and the paperwork will be screwed up. So no coverage. This happened to my wife where a guy ran into my wife in Tampa by a guy with no license that was from South America. The insurance was a scam and the "trucking company" just hired him to haul for them and had no responsibility for him. And yes he ran for south of the border.

Damned idiots in Denver. He will NEVER be seen in the USA again.
And why are those not charges of vehicular homicide? He should NEVER
be let out of jail.
The criminals are in the courts.

Aguilera-Mederos is a green-card holder from Cuba. Even though he's not quite the flight risk that an illegal from Mexico or Central America is, I'd say there's a 50/50 chance we never see him again. He'll never get citizenship if he's convicted of vehicular homicide, he'll likely get years in prison if he's convicted, and deported back to Cuba after he completes his sentence. He doesn't have much to lose by skipping bail, and rather more to gain.

The civil courts will make sure that this fly-by-night trucking firm is toast. They may, of course, be back to fly another night...

In 1996 my fiancé in AZ was killed in a crash with an illegal previously deported twice. He left the accident scene and headed back to Mexihole. As far as I know he is back in the country. No one cared then, no one cares now.

Thank you, #9. I got so cranked up by the apparent undercharging and actual bail too low,
didn't read that far.
He will never be around to stand trial, I will bet $100 on it.

23 years old, already driving a semi and don't speak English. Is this country so desperate that quality doesn't mean much anymore? Btw, how did this low life ever get his license when he "no speeka englush"?
Prosecute the company that knowingly hired a trucker who can't speak English and revoke their business license!!!

Apparently crowd funding raised $120,000 him:
"A Go Fund Me campaign was set up to help raise bail money for Aguilera-Mederos in the wake of the crash. KDVR reports that the campaign raised more than $120,000 to pay for bail and family expenses."

The public reaction to turning that maniac loose was more predictable than
tomorrow’s sunrise. Preventable incidents and conditions that outrage us
happen so often now that they take on a pattern. Who would be surprised
to find out that Soros or one of his apparatuses bailed Rogel Mederos?
It probably won’t be long before the go-fund-me money laundering scam
is investigated and blown open.

Standard bail practice for bonding a citizen is about 10%- in this case, that would be $40,000.00- The bonding company then places an assuity with the court. But, the 40 grand is the fee for doing that...so, someone spent 40 grand up front if the guy was an American citizen. for a Mexican national, the bond would be entirely different, even if such a bonding company willing to take the risk could be found. I would expect a minimum of 30% for a Mexican national charged with so many felony counts worth a potential life sentence if found guilty on them. That should meet the $120,000 mentioned above on the GoFundMe page. If the guy skips, though, the bonding company would lose the other $280,000 plus their fee, so they are almost certain to be escorting the guy everywhere he goes with agents. If he skipped to Mexico, he would be hunted down by well paid Mexican agents and sent back across the border. So, not much chance of him being a skip-risk. I seriously doubt anyone is willing to go the distance for this POS. BTW, Semi brakes seldom fail these days. And a 'brake issue" is usually something like a defective air pressure gauge or regulator. The truck or the trailer can not move without air-pressure, so he had air pressure if he was rolling. If he had been coming down a long, 1.5% grade, he could have burned up his brake linings and then lost control. but, that was not the case in this crash.

If this putz is a green card holder from Cuba, probably courtesy of Barry and the Butcher, I bet the U.S. goobermint paid for his tractor trailer school and his commercial license too. I know they do that in CA. In NY, Cuomo reimburses businesses with the entire wages of any so-called "immigrants" they hire for a full 2 years . Our tax dollars at work.

I've been following this very closely to see if this guy would get bonded out. There was a Facebook fundraiser started for him. Yeah, I know, people are stupid. The good news is I'm finding out the people of Denver aren't nearly as liberal as I previously thought. The bad news is, we'll probably never see this guy again.
