Someone may have been Putin on an act.
Russian leader Vladimir Putin may have been replaced by a lookalike body double during a trip to Iran this week, a top Ukrainian intelligence official said.
The Russian president, who has long been rumored to be ailing with an illness and possibly cancer, appeared more alert and mobile than usual during his visit to Iran to meet with Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Ukrainian sources told The Sun.
Maj. Gen. Kyrylo O. Budanov told Ukrainian outlet 1+1 that Putin’s lively appearance

When decision-making time comes during our weekly exercise to determine who to recognize for exceptional stupidity, it seems that the incomparable Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is virtually always a candidate. Aside from President Joe Biden, no one has received the honor more than AOC, with this week marking her fourth appearance. Accordingly, our panel tends to avoid selecting the leader of “The Squad” if possible, considering that there is so much knuckleheadedness out there to call attention to, and it just doesn’t seem fair that the second-term congresswoman should dominate our Saturday tributes. But then again, when she has weeks like this one, her idiocy cannot be ignored.

In the world of politics and the justice system, we seldom find ourselves with absolutes. Even the best politicians and lawyers have their flaws, and even the most disgraceful officials occasionally reveal some redeeming quality.
As great as Ronald Reagan was, he apparently lacked when it came to parenting skills, if we are to believe certain members of his family. And as reprehensible as the far-left Bernie Sanders may be, at least he’s philosophically consistent, going after fellow Democrats when he deems necessary and admitting that his far-fetched socialist plans would indeed increase taxes on the middle class.
Then we have characters such as Michael Avenatti:

The man who allegedly tried to stab Republican candidate for New York governor Lee Zeldin with a bladed weapon during a campaign stop on Thursday was released from jail within hours of his arrest on a felony charge — just as Zeldin had predicted.
David Jakubonis, 43, from Fairport, New York, was arraigned overnight in Perinton Town Court on a count of second-degree attempted assault stemming from the attack on Rep. Zeldin but was quickly released on his own recognizance.

Meghan Markle may not be royalty in the US, but she acted like “a princess” while dining at hip eatery Locanda Verde with Prince Harry Monday night, a spy said.
“[She] asked the people at Locanda Verde to have the entire inner outdoor courtyard – which seats 50 – for herself and four people, including Prince Harry,” a source told Page Six.
“The owners told her it had been reserved for a birthday party for 15 people and refused to bounce the party out of the space

Chris Cuomo had short-lived aspirations of extinguishing real life infernos — not just the media fire faced by his disgraced brother, ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo, according to a new report.
The ex-CNN host applied to be a volunteer firefighter with the East Hampton Fire Department after the network fired him last December for advising his brother throughout the governor’s sexual harassment scandal, the Daily Beast reported Monday.
But the former primetime news anchor ultimately withdrew his application a short time after meeting with fire chiefs earlier this year as he was unable to devote enough of his time to fulfill the role,

Justin Trudeau deserves the gallows, so let’s just be clear about that. Laughing at his haircut is trivial compared to the injustices he has imposed on Canadians and the harms he has inflicted upon them.
Still, mockery is a crucial element to combatting the many absurdities of tyranny. If there is one thing we know about leftists, they crave adoration and approval. People with pronouns meltdown over the wrong he/she being used, so this is not an overstatement.
Whether it’s a pre-K teacher upset at not being allowed to teach queer gender theory or the leader of a western country, all leftists are the same.

There have been plenty of clownish families over the years who have somehow managed to find themselves in places of prominence on America’s political stage. Perhaps most notable was the Carter Family in the late 1970s. Jimmy Carter was a pathetic leader, and his beer-guzzling, hillbilly brother Billy was a family embarrassment; but at least the Carters had Lillian as the spunky matriarch. We also have the Cuomo Family, of course, with unemployed former CNN hack Fredo and disgraced grandparent-killer Andrew. And then, we have the Bidens… a family that makes the Carters and Cuomos look like the Roosevelts.

One of the more fascinating aspects of the debate regarding COVID vaccine mandates over the past year has been the role of professional athletes in the conversation. Most Hollywood and music industry celebrities have stayed quiet about the subject, with a few exceptions such as Eric Clapton and Jim Carrey. But major sports stars have not only been vocal in their opposition to such mandates, they’ve put their money where their mouths are.
Kyrie Irving, who plays guard for the Brooklyn Nets of the NBA, missed most of last season due to his refusal to get vaccinated. Tennis star Novak Djokovic

Elon Musk said former President Donald Trump should not run for a second term, arguing that he’s too old and “too much drama.”
The Tesla CEO, who had vowed to reinstate Trump’s Twitter account before he moved to terminate the $44 billion acquisition of the social media giant, responded late Monday to a Twitter post from Breitbart News that included a clip of Trump slamming the tech mogul as “another bullsh-t artist.”
“I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset,” the world’s richest person tweeted in response to Trump’s comments.

Rhode Island may be the smallest of the fifty states, but apparently, it has plenty of room for race-baiting, attention-seeking, hedonistic morons like our knucklehead of the week. In the Ocean State’s legislature, a first-term senator named Tiara Mack managed to summarize much of what plagues America and our culture with one ill-advised social media posting and her subsequent counterattack against outraged critics. If someone unfamiliar with the continuing decay of our society were to ask us to provide one example of what ails us, the behavior of this week’s top knucklehead would be an ideal choice.
Winner: Rhode Island State Senator Tiara Mack posts

Some people actually take her seriously.
