Kamala Harris Compares End of Roe to Slavery

Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday compared abortion bans to slavery in that they both are “claiming ownership over human bodies.” “It’s important to note that to support a woman’s ability, not her government, but her to make that decision does not require anyone to abandon their faith or their beliefs,” Harris said in a speech to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). “It just requires us to agree the government shouldn’t be making that decision for her,” she added. “And think about it, for the first time in generations, the United States Supreme Court, the highest court of our land, the former court of Thurgood Marshall,

Any woman in this country can still get an abortion. Sure, she may be a little inconvenienced that she may have to travel to an adjoining state to slaughter her unborn baby. But nothing is stopping her from travelling to a pro-unborn-slaughter state to kill her unborn baby!!!!! But, hey, Matressback Harris, don't let those pesky facts get in the way of your illogical and evil rant!!!! Heck, Cuba-fornia has announced that they plan to be the Las Vegas of abortion. Come here to slaughter your unborn baby for the full 9 months of your pregnancy, and get a free luxury hotel room, free steak dinner, free drinks, and free shows with every unborn baby slaughtered in beautiful Cuba-fornia!!!!

As for whether turning a blind eye to abortion requires anybody to abandon their faith or their beliefs, she's either totally oblivious or totally dismissive of the belief that the unborn baby is a human life, (Or she doesn't remember that the deliberate killing of an innocent life is murder, and Judeo-Christian beliefs have always held that murder should not be allowed.) But maybe I err by looking for a statement from her to be rational...

Washington - President Joe Biden will travel to Massachusetts on Wednesday to promote his efforts to combat climate change but will stop short of issuing an emergency declaration that would unlock federal resources to deal with the issue, according to a person familiar with the president’s plans. Biden has been under pressure to issue an emergency declaration after Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., pulled out of negotiations over climate legislation. During his visit to Somerset, Mass., Biden could announce other steps on climate change but the White House has not released details.

Now that Joe Manchin has once again pulled the rug out from under him, essentially nixing the possibility of getting any climate legislation through for the near future, Joe Biden is under pressure to do whatever he can through executive action to combat climate change. Democrats have renewed calls on Biden to take “forceful, firm, and wide-ranging” action on the environment in recent days — and the president appears ready to to do just that, with White House officials telling reporters that he could declare a climate emergency as soon as this week. “I think realistically there is a lot he can do and there is a lot he will do

After intense backlash from local bodega workers and city tabloids, Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg on Tuesday dropped all charges against bodega clerk Jose Alba, who was allegedly acting in self-defense when he fatally stabbed a man who was attacking him. The liberal DA’s decision comes after weeks of criticism of Bragg’s decision to send the 61-year-old to Riker’s Island and charge him with second-degree murder in the death of 35-year-old Austin Simon. Bragg first requested Alba’s bail be set at $500,000 before it was lowered to $50,000 in response to criticism from the community. He was later released on a $5,000 bail bond.

The company noted that these groups have solicited fraudulent reviews for hundreds of products sold through its services, including car stereos and camera tripods. One group, called Amazon Product Review, had more than 43,000 members until Facebook parent Meta shut it down earlier this year.
