The gunman who fired a shot that hit an NYPD detective in a marked car in Brooklyn last month was aiming for a romantic rival, police said Thursday. Police identified the shooter as Jah-Mike Woolridge, 27, who lives steps from the scene of the shooting—and was busted for criminal possession of a weapon in 2011. Woolridge was allegedly firing at another man he was feuding with over a woman at around 4:30 p.m. on June 23—just as Detective Sunjay Verma was driving with his partner through the crossfire on Pitkin Ave. at Legion St. in Brownsville. At least nine shots were fired—with one bullet shattering the cruiser’s

Never let your guard down in Brownsville. Police cars need bulletproof windows because the city won't keep violent criminals off the street, and the dandy celebrity mayor, who calls White people "crackers," won't say a word to His People about trying to behave themselves, and instead blames guns.

It is generally a good thing that these dangerous barbarians are bad shots, but it's hard on bystanders, which they don't care the slightest about hitting.

Children in San Francisco who were being escorted off a school bus can be seen having to negotiate their way through a crowd of homeless people living in squalor on a nearby sidewalk, a video posted to Twitter shows. “Bye kids, go get home safe, OK?” says a man wearing a camouflage-colored jersey as he appears to usher them off the bus before panning the camera to show a sidewalk filled with many people who appear to be drug addicts nodding off amid filth.(Snip)Last week, San Francisco implemented a six-month, $3 million program that will see community workers rather than police respond to low-level emergency calls

Mina, Saudi Arabia—Millions of Muslims across the globe—including in countries like Afghanistan, Libya, Egypt, Kenya and Yemen—were celebrating Eid al-Adha on Saturday, one of the biggest holidays of the Islamic calendar.
