During the latest episode of ABC’s "The View," celebrity guest Anne Hathaway claimed that "abortion can be another word for mercy."
"My own personal experience with abortion and I don’t think we talk about this enough, abortion can be another word for mercy," she said.
Elaborating she said, "We don’t know. We don’t know." Hathaway added, "We know that no two pregnancies are alike, and it follows that no two lives are alike, it follows that no two conceptions are alike. So how can we have a law, how can we have a point of view on this that says we must treat everything the same?"

Republicans privately expect Attorney General Merrick Garland to indict former President Donald Trump between 60 and 90 days after the midterm elections, according to a report on Monday.
GOP aides on Capitol Hill and former strategists said they do not have insider knowledge about an indictment on Trump, but they claim that a deadline to indict the former president is quickly approaching and Garland is facing heat from Democrats to act fast. However, indicting Trump could have negative consequences for Democrats, some aides suggested.

Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan suggested that gender-neutral admission processes could give “white men” an advantage over people who have been “kicked in the teeth” during an oral argument Monday on a pair of lawsuits deciding whether affirmative action within Harvard University and the University of North Carolina (UNC) is constitutional.
During the oral argument for Students for Fair Admissions v. President and Fellows of Harvard, Kagan suggested to Patrick Strawbridge, who is representing Students for Fair Admissions, that higher education institutions that use gender-neutral policies lead to unequal outcomes for men at universities. Kagan noted that “white men” could get a “thumb on the scale” in university admissions if educational

New York Times reporter Jonathan Martin is running with the latest Democrat talking point in an attempt to distance themselves from President Biden, claiming he was an “emergency nominee” in 2020 and that his age should have been factored in. (Video) Martin appeared on CNN’s “Inside Politics” Sunday as the leftist panel discussed former President Obama hitting the campaign trail for flailing Democrats over the weekend in Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin. First Lady Jill Biden was out stumping for leftist candidates as well but the president spent the weekend at his Delaware home and was ostensibly nowhere to be seen a week before midterm elections.

Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) said Monday on “CBS Evening News” that Fox News host Jesse Watters has been “mocking” Paul Pelosi, the husband of Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), for months which aided and abetted the home invasion hammer attack on him.
According to an FBI affidavit, the suspect, 42-year-old David DePape, confessed to breaking into the Pelosis’ San Francisco home with the intent of breaking the Speaker’s kneecaps to “show other Members of Congress there were consequences to actions.”
Newsom said, “I have seen the dehumanization of Nancy Pelosi. I don’t think anyone’s been dehumanized like her consistently.”

Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney praised House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as a "tremendous leader" during an interview on Tuesday, just over a week before the Midterm Elections when Cheney’s replacement will be selected. "I want to say a word about Speaker Pelosi. Everyone knows she is a liberal from San Francisco [and] I am a conservative from Wyoming, there are many, many issues, maybe most issues, on which we disagree. But I think that she is a tremendous leader," Cheney said at the City Club in Cleveland with PBS’s Judy Woodruff.
"I’ve watched her up close. She is a leader of historic consequence," the Republican added.

Lucianne would have laughed uproariously at what is happening in San Francisco and at what Elon Musk is doing with Twitter. (snip) the Lucianne I knew for the past 27 years was probably the most discreet person in public life. She knew just about everybody in politics and the media. She knew lots of the nitty gritty embarrassing details in the lives of the rich and famous but she never publicized them. She had a bawdy sense of humor and might have been outspoken in private discussions (snip), but she was not a malicious gossip. Only the Clintons brought out her knives.

Joe Biden on Tuesday evening campaigned for Democrat duds Charlie Crist and Val Demings at Florida Memorial University in Miami.
Biden told the black students at Florida Memorial University, a HBCU (Historically Black College) that he ‘got his start’ at HBCU Delaware State University.
Joe Biden went to the University of Delaware.
Biden is very clever in how he tricks people into believing he attended Delaware State University.

Vice President Kamala Harris and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will reportedly join New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and Attorney General Letisha James in Manhattan on Thursday in a last-ditch effort to save the governor from defeat in the midterms next week.
The New York Times’ Nicholas Fandos reported Tuesday that Harris, who has not been a popular surrogate for candidates this cycle, and Clinton, would campaign with Hochul and James in Manhattan Thursday in an effort to try and move the needle in the governor’s reelection campaign.

It was not a “Beautiful Day”
U2 frontman Bono revealed Tuesday that he once woke up in “Abraham Lincoln’s bedroom” at the White House after he and his wife drank “strong cocktails” with then-President Barack Obama.
The “Where The Streets Have No Name” icon was visiting the first family his wife, Irish activist Ali Hewson, when he passed out cold.
“The 44th president of the United States, he mixes cocktails — he doesn’t have too many, he’s very measured,”

At Georgia's final gubernatorial debate, election truther and conspiracy theorist Stacey Abrams -- who appears poised to lose to Gov. Brian Kemp again, based on polling -- took an ugly, parting shot at Georgia law enforcement. After the governor touted his endorsements from more than 100 sheriffs around the state, within the context of a discussion about crime, Abrams retorted that she lacked such support because those officers are motivated by racism. Notice, there is no effort to point to any individual (allegedly) racist sheriff in this answer. It's an appalling broad-brush smear of the entire group, baselessly imputing racist motives to their work.
