15-year-old boy dead, 3 injured in Washington,
DC festival shooting

A 15-year-old boy was killed and three others, including a police officer, suffered gunshot wounds during a shooting at a music festival in Washington, DC Sunday evening. Gunfire erupted on a street corner as crowds began to disperse from the “advocacy” festival called Moechella — which officers had shut down moments earlier over dangerous conditions. The event was advertised as a peaceful demonstration at 14th and U Street celebrating Juneteenth, but police described a chaotic scene where several illegal guns were recovered over the course of two-and-a-half hours.

14th and U was riot central in the riots after the MLK shooting. It was beginning to be gentrified, but it looks like it's a little early yet to say it has become civilized.

When Juneteenth gained more widespread publicity - late 90s/early 00s - it drew more people to gatherings. Predictably, all hell broke loose. And official gatherings were banned for many years since the gatherings were little more than riots. Back then, even places like Atlanta aka the Black Capital of the US had enough sense to call the whole thing off for a time. I was at a public gathering where the emcee got on the mic and starting waffling about Juneteenth. The white-as-a-sheet crowd of suburban luvvies dutifully clapped, some a little too enthusiastically as they reinforced their high opinion of...themselves. At the same time, elsewhere in their own city, the usual mayhem among the so-called descendants of slavery raged on, with or without official celebrations.

Things were equally bad at the Christian Music Festival. One of the attendees accidentally spilled a cup of root beer on a woman's sneakers. It was mopped up quickly - - before the media could get wind of what happened. But my sources confirm - - it DID happen!

Yes, blame those illegal guns. But the real problem is staring you in the face. You have a race, yes race, where a segment doesn't value life. It all goes back to LBJ and the creation of the welfare state and the beginning of where it is OK to have children out of wedlock. Patrick Moynihan called it "dumbing down deviancy". It's embedded in their fatherless culture and a culture that refuses to become American. Those that want to integrate are called "Oreos". The other contributing factor was the shutting down of America in the name of stopping Covid causing loss of jobs. A happy America is gainfully employed, has low crime. At the moment, America is unhappy with a recession coming . We were happy under Reagan and happy for the most part under Trump. Trump gave us discipline, which is totally lacking under Biden. We are also cursed by this transgender freak show being shoved down our throats that is sowing more discord among normal people. We need a change and it can't come any too soon.

A bipartisan working group of U.S. Senators — 10 Democrats and 10 Republicans — finally unveiled the result of their work on federal firearm legislation spurred by the tragic shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, one that increasingly looks to have been worsened by a failure in local authorities' response. The text's release was delayed this week by some last-minute negotiations over a ban on any healthcare-related funds in the bill being used to pay for abortions, but that hurdle was cleared by Tuesday afternoon when the final text was released. Totaling 80 pages, the bill text can be viewed below:

A request for emails between Raffensperger and a Taiwan immigrant was finally returned but 90% of the documents were redacted. What’s really going on? Brad Raffensperger became famous for his actions in certifying the 2020 Election in Georgia for Joe Biden. Despite impossible results that Raffensperger himself said weren’t possible the day after the 2020 Election, a few days later Raffensperger certified the election in the state for Joe Biden.

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — Katie Britt won the Republican nomination for Senate in Alabama with a landslide runoff victory over Rep. Mo Brooks, capping a come-from-behind campaign that saw her first spurned but then endorsed by former President Donald Trump. Few believed Britt, 40, was viable last June upon entering the campaign against Brooks, one of the first Republican Senate contenders of the 2022 election cycle to receive a coveted Trump endorsement. But the former chief of staff to retiring Sen. Richard Shelby (R-AL) shrugged off Trump’s early criticism that she was an unqualified, establishment lackey — leapfrogging Brooks in the polls, finishing first

A bipartisan group of Senate negotiators released the text of their bill to combat gun violence following a string of recent mass shootings, including one at a Uvalde, Texas, elementary school. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said he expects to pass the bill this week. The bill would grant funding for states to implement red flag laws or other crisis prevention measures, enhance some background checks, and close the so-called boyfriend loophole: a gap in federal law barring spouses, but not dating partners, convicted of domestic abuse from gun ownership. The bill would also provide funding for some mental health resources and school safety measures.

Georgia's 10th District, a conservative stronghold made up of 18 counties, stretches from the outskirts of Henry County in metropolitan Atlanta to the South Carolina state line. House Republicans need to net five seats in the 435-member chamber to win back
