You would think as much as President Joe Biden talks about Covid-19 that he would know who runs his own public health agencies.
That assumption would be wrong. On Tuesday, Biden visited a Covid vaccination clinic and wrongly praised an official who he said is ‘running the CDC.’ Watch: (Video) “See Dr. Jha, see that guy right there?” Biden said while pulling down his mask. “He’s the guy that’s running the CDC for me these days.”
But that, of course, would be CDC Director Rochelle Walensky,

For a classic example of shoddy, dishonest journalism that serves as pure propaganda for the Biden administration, look no further than NPR’s attempt to discredit our reporting on the secret flights ferrying illegal migrants from the southern border to unsuspecting communities around the country.
NPR did not mention The Post in Monday’s story, only its permanent bugbear Fox News and Tucker Carlson who admirably followed up, but the journalism it pooh-poohs is ours.
“Republicans and right-wing media . . . accuse the Biden administration of organizing secret migrant flights . . . but NPR’s Joel Rose reports that rhetoric is often at odds with the facts.”

Republican pundits and conservative activists are debating whether they can win in 2024 with the successful Trump agenda, but without the controversial former President Donald Trump as their nominee.
The Democrats have a similar, but far more serious dilemma with President Joe Biden as the Democratic Party's nominee in 2024.
Unlike the Trump Administration's successful four years, Biden's tenure has been an utter disaster. There are no policy offsets to the personal liabilities and unpopularity of Biden himself.

The Supreme Court on Thursday handed down its opinion in a landmark Second Amendment rights case, the biggest win for gun rights since the court's Heller ruling holding that "New York’s proper-cause requirement violates the Fourteenth Amendment by preventing law-abiding citizens with ordinary self-defense needs from exercising their Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms in public for self-defense." (Tweets) The ruling came down 6-3, with Justice Clarence Thomas writing the majority opinion joined by Justices Roberts, Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett — plus concurring opinions by Justice Alito and Justice Kavanaugh. Justices Breyer wrote the dissent joined by Sotomayor, and Kagan.

On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Lead,” Senior Adviser to President Joe Biden Gene Sperling said that Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell’s comments that high inflation pre-dates Russia’s invasion of Ukraine don’t contradict President Joe Biden’s rhetoric and “the reason we’ve seen the gas price rise, both here and really around the world, is due to Putin.”
Sperling responded to Powell’s comments by saying, “Jake, that is clearly correct, and that is not contradictory with anything this president said.”

On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “AC360,” Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) argued that the Senate gun legislation “paves the way in the future to look at” other gun control provisions.
Host Anderson Cooper asked, “Well, there [are] probably a lot of people who wanted this to — obviously, you said you wanted this to go farther in terms of gun safety or gun control. What do you say to those who say that this doesn’t go far enough and that this may make it harder to try to get further changes in the future?”
Klobuchar responded, “We have worked on this for decades.

In this excerpt from the just-published “Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words” by Michael Pack and Mark Paoletta, the Supreme Court justice reflects on changes in his hometown, Savannah, Ga. The book is based on more than 30 hours of interviews Pack conducted with Thomas and his wife Ginni for the film of the same name; 95% of the book’s material is new, including this excerpt.
Michael Pack: You have talked a little today about how life in the black community has not been improved by many well-intentioned social programs. Do you think, in some sense, it is worse than when you grew up?

Field biologists discovered an 18-foot invasive Burmese python weighing 215 pounds in the Florida Everglades.
Researchers from the Conservancy of Southwest Florida believed their scale was broken when they weighed the beast, as none of them could comprehend a Burmese python would ever grow so huge, National Geographic reported Tuesday. The snake, the largest ever discovered in Florida, was captured using a male scout snake with a GPS tracker attached to it, the outlet continued. Burmese pythons are effectively impossible to spot without scout snakes, according to BroBible. (Tweet/Photo)

Media tycoon Rupert Murdoch and model and actress Jerry Hall are allegedly divorcing after six years, The New York Times reported on Wednesday.
The Times allegedly heard of the rumor from “two people with knowledge of the decision.” However, no other details have emerged from Murdoch or Hall’s representatives.
At 91, the alleged news marks Murdoch’s fourth divorce and his shortest marriage. Murdoch and Hall were married in March 2016 in central London, prompting the media mogul to retire from Twitter, saying, “No more tweets for ten days or ever! Feel like the luckiest AND happiest man in world.”
