Kroger and Harris Teeter bent the knee after a whiny complaint on Twitter.
The two popular grocery store chains were asked by a woman with barely more than 4,000 followers on Twitter why they were selling pro-America can koozies featuring guns and celebrating freedom, and were asked to “please remove them.” (Tweet) Instead of telling the woman to get lost and stop complaining about such a minor situation, Harris Teeter and its parent company Kroger bent the knee and immediately vowed to stop stealing the koozies! (Tweet) As soon as I saw these pathetic and weak responses, I got Kroger and Harris Teeter on the phone to ask

#1....from Wikipedia: "Koozie" ~~...A koozie or stubby holder is a fabric or foam sleeve that is designed to thermally insulate a beverage container, like a can or bottle.

The Kroger spokesperson went on to clarify that they will still be carrying the Gay Pride and Black Lives Matter koozies.

frankly, the hill I die on is not built of koozies. I barely know what the flop it is, let alone change my shopping habits because of it. Think I'll keep my ammo dry for a wee bit longer...

She’s running for congress, NC district 98. Apparently she was voted out of office in 2020. And she still has only 4,051 followers on Twitter. Her actual tweet got only 532 likes. Hopefully their marketing depts read the responses, they are not favorable.

NC once was a very conservative state, turned "purple" if not outright blue by a massive influx of refugees from the Northeast who hate the South but like the low taxes, and are eager to otherwise make your state into New Jersey with better weather. One by one they get 'er done, without fail. Too bad states don't issue passports.

Haven’t been to Kroger in several years.
About 2 yrs ago, they “remodeled” the store and added cheap clothes and plastic crap for kids. It looks like a cross between Walmart and Bargain Hunt.
Publix is my go-to. I hope they don’t start something like this.

10 is spot on. Yankees trying to saturate Dixie to flip your politics, not to join you. Florida and Texas are their current projects (or targets, if you please).

Stealing? Oh, you mean SELLING. Once upon a time editors caught most dumb errors like that.

The Kroger by us is a pigsty, we only go in if it's at last resort. We'd rather shop Publix or Aldi's.

We'd better start homesteading, folks. We're running out of places to shop. Time to start trading between ourselves. I can't believe most of the world is on the side of leftists. They're fools.

I quit Kroger here a couple of years ago for different reasons. Their parking lot is hell on asphalt. The spaces are too small and the risk of people backing into each other is an every day occurrence . Combine that with the fact that they are trying to force their customers into self checkout. Only a couple of registers open for 80 year old coots like me. I still have their “discount” card but I will send it back and tell them to stick it and why.

See below for my note yesterday to Kroger, along with their response. I highly doubt their claim of 'an increase in seasonal mail volume.' I think Middle Class Americans are making their feelings known about the whole woke issue. (This is the company that tried on one occasion to tell me I needed to provide a note from my doctor in order to forego mask-wearing. Laughed and kept walking--)

I suggest that you might want, at your upcoming shareholders meeting, to re-think your policy on pandering to a single silly snowflake who makes a single silly snowflake complaint. See the link below for why:
