First it was baby formula, now there’s a tampon shortage. Tampon prices are up 10% due to the rising price of oil affecting the cost of plastic and higher cotton prices due to mask manufacturing and the war in Ukraine. A whole lot of fertilizer comes out of Ukraine and Russia. So does neon which is used to make semiconductor chips. The chip shortage is shutting down car plants. I read something interesting today, it was a image of Forrest Gump with the following caption: And Just Like That. . .. . .Democrats brought back the 1918 pandemic, the 1929 depression, the 1968 race riots and the 1975 gas shortage All At The Same Time!

Also a permanent shortage of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. America is permanently destroyed. Mission accomplished. 200 years of cheating to win elections and all we get is a bill for $35 trillion dollars?

It could, and probably will get much worse. We depend on 3rd world crack-pot countries for so much of the minerals needed for our modern society. Lithium and cobalt are just 2 examples. In the meantime left-wing enviros want valuable elements in the US to be roped off, like a museum viewing room.

For me, personally, one big source of strength has been my church. But the ravages of Covid controls, along with less-than-stellar leadership of the parish, has diminished its meaning to me. What I hear there seems irrelevant and even rude. There is no sweetness of spirit. It is a grind. What I have to offer, my parish doesn't want -- except my money and unquestioned adherence to stodgy, lifeless religion. It all seems so meaningless. And it along with this horrible, nasty malaise at home and abroad makes me question whether life is worth living. I guess that's what those in charge want: Control over our lives.

If you listened to little Dick Durbin and his crew today he told the country that he intends to grant US Citizenship to ten million illegal aliens who will be placed into the ten million jobs said to be now said to be in need of workers across the USA. The fact that those mostly all poor and uneducated illegal aliens might not be qualified to do those American jobs did not seem to be of any concern to Durbin. Of course his plan granting them citizenship also will register them as (new) leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrat supporters and voters. As it stands now employers who refuse to hire any of the ten million foreign origin workers would be sanctioned by the Biden Politburo for national origin discrimination. It’s called immigration reform and has unlimited possibilities as far as recruiting foreign workers.

I believe some of these woes are corporate's fault. Using the 'just in time' method of manufacturing they have left no give in the system for delays or disruptions. Catch up is all but impossible.

Thomas Friedman is just as much of an idiot as Milton Friedman was a great economist. Trusting other countries to supply critical goods or raw materials is terminally stupid.

Senator Bernie Sanders, a socialist parasite who has never had a career or gainful employment outside politics, has thoughts on how Apple should make its phones. (Snip) If consumers want USB-C charging ports, they can buy Android-based devices. Apple is notorious for selling ridiculously overpriced devices and finding a thousand ways to gate customers in so that they're buying $2,000 monitor stands or some other nonsense. That's why I would never buy or use Apple. But clearly a whole lot of people want Apple devices. And they're willing to pay premium prices for them. If Apple were an actual monopoly,

“I don’t want to hear any more of these lies about reckless spending,” President Joe Biden shouted out in remarks that he delivered to AFL-CIO union members in Philadelphia on June 14th. “We’re changing people’s lives.” President Biden sure has changed Americans’ lives since he took office. Americans are far worse off today on his watch. As Republican Senator John Kennedy from Louisiana put it, “Forty-year-high inflation, [baby] formula shortages, and $5 gas are changing lives.” President Biden promoted his green energy proposals during his AFL-CIO conference remarks.

Harvard Law professor emeritus Laurence Tribe said Thursday on CNN’s “Erin Burnett OutFront” that former President Donald Trump attempted to murder Vice President Mike Pence on January 6, 2021. Burnett asked, “From everything you have seen so far, including the hearing today that focused so much on Trump causing violence against Pence, do you believe the committee has proven that Trump himself knowingly committed crimes?” Tribe said, “Without any doubt, beyond a reasonable doubt, beyond any doubt, and the crimes are obvious. In the recent past, California and Texas have suffered blackouts due to inadequate electricity supply. This year, as the summer heats up, it is the midwestern states served by the Midcontinent Independent Systems Operator (MISO) that are most likely to see their lights go out. Energy expert Isaac Orr explains: "According to [the North American Electric Reliability Corporation], much of the country is at an elevated risk of not having enough electricity to meet peak demand, plus the margin of safety, this summer, but none are at higher risk than MISO." Why are blackouts suddenly occurring after many decades of reliable energy? Because of profiteering by “green” energy hucksters.

The crisis currently facing our nation is a crisis of faith – faith in the Constitution that has shaped our destiny, faith in the rule of law, and faith in the principle of equality before the law. The root cause of the lawlessness that is consuming our country is the monopoly of the executive power in Washington by a political party that has fallen under the control of the radical Left. This Left describes itself as “progressive,” but is focused on the goal of “re-imagining” American institutions and principles, in other words of dismantling the constitutional order that created the prosperity and freedoms that have shaped this country

1,120 people have been shot this year in Chicago and 282 people have been murdered. Yesterday, four people were shot and killed in four hours in just another Wednesday. Good thing the city has “peace circles”. Police defunders have been tasked with coming up with “restorative justice” alternatives to the three P’s, police, prosecutors, and prisons, that ask criminals to apologize to their victims. That’s the principle of the “peace circle” in which the thug meets with his victim, says “sorry” and then leaves a free man to shoot, stab, or kill. Chicago's pro-crime politicians eagerly embraced "peace circles". There are peace circles in

In a virtual Axios event on Thursday, Gina McCarthy, Joe Biden’s top climate official, urged tech companies to suppress truthful information about climate issues: “The tech companies have to stop allowing specific individuals over and over again to spread disinformation,” she told Axios’ Alexi McCammond at a virtual event that aired Thursday. “We need the tech companies to really jump in,” McCarthy said. “Really jump in” means to ban, suspend, delete and censor views on climate issues different from those of the Biden administration’s extremists, like McCarthy. While Hillary Clinton and her associates were eager to shift the blame for her defeat by relaunching their existing Russiagate smears with false claims that Russian Facebook ads had tilted the election to Trump

Starks-Richardson, who often took her daughter to the Indianapolis Children's Museum growing up, said she expected the museum would be more focused on educating the public about Juneteenth -- which celebrates the emancipation of enslaved Black Americans -- instead of serving themed foods. To make matters worse, she said, watermelon has historically been used as a racist trope against Black Americans.
