Nancy Pelosi's husband Paul was driving his Porsche drunk and pulled out onto the highway into the path of an 48-year-old man driving a Jeep in Napa, his arrest report reveals. Pelosi, 82, was arrested for the incident at 10.22pm on Saturday. (snip) his arrest report which reveals he was driving eastbound on Walnut Lane, a quiet tree-lined street in Oakville, five miles south of the Pelosi's vineyard in St Helena, (snip) He pulled out onto S-29 to try to cross it, blowing past a stop sign, and was struck by Jesus V. Lopez, a 48-year-old man driving a 2014 Jeep who was traveling northbound on the state road.

Comments:

Headed to his home only 5 miles away… He looks like a party kind of guy.

Hey, if I was married to SanFranNan, I’d drink a lot, too. Net worth of around $100,000,000 and he doesn’t have a chauffeur or an Uber app on his phone? Hard tp fathom. And if he’s 82, he has no business driving a Porsche.

This situation sounds similar to the terrible miscalculation Biden's wife made when she killed their child while driving drunk. Fortunately the driver she hit was not killed by her irresponsible actions, but his reputation was destroyed, and Biden still regularly misuses the facts of that accident to aggrandize himself. The term amoral comes to mind. That was swept under the rug too.

The British attorney general says schools do not have to accommodate students who want to change gender identification, and are under no legal obligation to use certain pronouns or allow children to wear uniform of another sex. Attorney General Suella Braverman—the top government adviser on law in England and Wales—has become the latest of a number of senior government figures to challenge the ethos of some public institutions which affirm children’s adoption of another gender identity. Her comments to the Times of London, published on Saturday, come as the government draws up formal guidance for schools on transgenderism.

The jury in the Michael Sussmann criminal case resumes deliberations today after the long Memorial Day weekend. While prosecutors presented overwhelming evidence over the last two weeks that Sussmann lied to then-FBI General Counsel James Baker in 2016, an acquittal by the D.C. jury still seems likely. Update: Jurors did acquit Sussmann, on May 31.(snip) So, measuring Durham’s performance by the outcome in United States v. Sussmann would be a mistake. Also, especially in the case of an acquittal, it would ignore the valuable information exposed related to the broader Spygate scandal. Using that gauge as a measure, the special counsel’s office succeeded wildly.

It’s always been sort of a running joke among the Right that President Joe Biden is too old and too feeble-minded to actually be running the show – and usually those jokes would receive angry pushback from the left. But a new report from NBC News indicates that maybe it wasn’t a joke after all. What’s worse, the truth is a bit more frightening than the joke let on. In its detailed report, NBC News paints a picture of a President who has little to no control over the office and a staff dead set on making sure its agenda is the President’s focus rather than the other way around.

The acquittal is no surprise. This is a DC jury, after all. In the Roger Stone case, for example, we documented how a juror lied to get on the panel. (That judge didn’t care.) Making matters worse, the Sussmann judge wrongly allowed for a woman to remain on the jury, despite the fact that her daughter and Sussmann’s are on the same high school crew team. One can’t help but think that juror had her own daughter’s interests in mind – the cohesion of the crew team – when she reached a decision.(snip)On the facts, there was more than sufficient evidence to prove Sussmann’s guilt.

Liberals for decades preached Demography Is Destiny to conservatives. Libs warned us of dire consequences when people of color outnumber white people in 2040. (That has since been pushed back to 2050.) The message was: Repent sinners and drop core beliefs in favor of pandering to minorities. Now conservatives are saying Demography Is Destiny. Feigning shock, liberals are calling it the Replacement Theory and denouncing those who say it as rayyyyycists. But demography is not destiny. Nigerian immigrants replacing white natives are not a problem. Welcome aboard, I say. The real problem is replacing God with government.

UVALDE, Texas — The blame for an excruciating delay in killing the gunman at a Texas elementary school — even as parents outside begged police to rush in and panicked children called 911 from inside — has been placed with the school district’s homegrown police chief. It’s left residents in the small city of Uvalde struggling to reconcile what they know of the well-liked local lawman after the director of state police said that the commander at the scene — Pete Arredondo — made the “wrong decision” last week not to breach a classroom at Robb Elementary School sooner, believing the gunman was barricaded inside and children weren’t at risk.

Washington—A federal jury on Tuesday found former Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann not guilty of lying to the FBI — finding special counsel John Durham did not prove his case beyond a reasonable doubt. The verdict by a jury in heavily Democratic-leaning DC, came midway through the second day of deliberations following a two-week trial on a single count of making false statements to a federal agent. Durham’s prosecution team unsuccessfully sought to prove that Sussmann deliberately lied to then-FBI general counsel James Baker by claiming not to be acting on behalf of the Clinton campaign and an internet executive when the two met in 2016.
