Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro (D), who will face a Republican opponent in the gubernatorial election in November, is currently running an ad to boost GOP primary candidate Doug Mastriano based on the perception that he would be the easiest to defeat, the New York Times reports. As Breitbart News reported last week, Shapiro dropped a new ad titled “Win for Trump” which closely tied Mastriano to former President Trump, although the president has not endorsed in the primary race. The pro-Mastriano ad portrays the Pennsylvania state senator as a fierce advocate of election integrity laws and

Does this moron know that Trump won PA except for the cheating in Murder City (philly)? If they were 51-49 Trump then they are 55-45 Trump now after the 2 year disaster of slow joe.

So they want to give a boost to the pro-Trump guy. The usual strategy is... 1. Smear the populist before the primary, force him/her out. If that fails... 2. Use the GOP establishment and media to create doubt among conservatives. If that fails.... 3. Declare them unelectable and bring it about by having the GOP-E join the Democrats. If that fails... 4. Smear, scandalize, and attack the newly victorious candidate continually in order to defeat them next time and hinder effectiveness.

Mastriano is from a deeply conservative area of PA. Some think the state is strongly pro-Trump after 2020, but there are still more Ds and Mastriano will face strong headwinds in the general. Unlike in VA, Democrats will have an easier time making this election all about Trump. You and I in the "T" of Pennsylvania (along the Susquehanna and the north) may like that, but the rest of the state won't.

Shapiro's ad is not supporting Doug. However, the ad is so ambiguous when seen for the first time, viewers must be asking themselves, "Is this ad for or against Mastriano?" The theme of Shapiro's ad is Doug's policies are too much like Trump's policies, and therefore electing Doug will be bad for Pennsylvania. Namely: "TRUMP BAD - MASTRANIO BAD!" One possible explanation for this argument is that Shapiro believes Trump lost fair and square in PA and Biden's win was not because of any voter fraud.

Once Democrats supported Donald Trump because if he won the primary Hillary would surf into the White House on a Blue Tidal wave. How did that work out?

So the week ends with this headline from The Washington Post: Jan. 6 committee sets up historic showdown. The Post story says this: The Jan. 6 committee's decision Thursday to subpoena five House Republican lawmakers sets up a tense and historic showdown over Congress' ability to force its members to participate in one of its own investigations – the outcome of which could have major political and legal ramifications.…the chair of the committee, Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) said the subpoenas were necessary because “several of our colleagues have information relevant to our investigation into the attack on January 6th and the events leading up to it.”

In a highly opinionated and, at times, almost wistful homage to outgoing White House press secretary Jen Psaki’s tenure, CNN’s Brian Stelter bid a fond farewell to the future MSNBC contributor in a manner “that would make the editors of Pravda blush.”As Psaki made way Friday for her successor, Karine Jean-Pierre, Stelter released an “analysis” of her 224 press briefings and myriad news appearances loaded with gushing quotes from his favored and “reliable” sources. In so doing, the CNN host couldn’t help but take potshots at the previous administration, Fox News, and pretty much anyone who failed to subscribe to his worldview.

The beleaguered activist, whose California home-buying spree last year raised questions, accused The Daily Wire’s Candace Owens of harassing her and putting her family in danger in a tearful Instagram post. But Owens on Saturday released video of her May 7 visit to Cullors’ home, and it’s hard to see what the fuss was about.“Hello,” Owens begins, apparently talking to a guard from outside a gate in front of Cullors’ home. “I was just looking to speak to whomever was at this property,

HBO “Real Time” host Bill Maher smacked Democrats on Friday during his show for moving away from their former position of “safe, legal, and rare” on abortion and attempting to ditch the label “pro-choice” for the more graphic term “pro-abortion.”Maher cited the Clinton-era leftist abortion mantra of “safe, legal, and rare,” arguing “that’s not where the Democrats are now” and that they “don’t say that anymore.” He then proceeded to blast the pro-choice caucus in the House, suggesting they change “choice” to “decision” and potentially use “pro-abortion” instead. He flatly stated that “No one should be pro-abortion.”

Our increasingly ugly inflation problem is a perfect illustration of the Biden administration’s uncanny ability to get everything everywhere wrong all at once. The Biden administration’s first response to any problem is to pretend that it isn’t a problem. That’s how inflation went from a minor problem to a major one. Unwilling to take the necessary steps to rein in inflation early — pushing the Fed to raise interest rates and slowing down the torrent of money going out the Treasury’s doors — Biden and congressional Democrats at first insisted that inflation wasn’t a real problem: “Transitory,” they called it.

In one of the most “wait, what?” moments of 2022, a top Democrat leader in the House has declared that the United States is currently at war. That’s not an exaggeration nor an uncharitable reading of the situation.
