Now that the wokesters have taken over universities and school administrators now outnumber professors, how's life in academia these days? How are things now that diversity staff outnumber history professors? The Daily Caller has a report: Over half of the U.S.’s private and public colleges encourage students to snitch on each other, according to a report released Monday by a free speech non-profit. Of the 821 higher education institutions surveyed, 56% of them are reported to have some form of a “Bias Reporting System” (BRS), according to the report from Speech First (SF), a free speech member organization. The report surveyed 441 private schools, or 23% of all private four year colleges

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. Martin Niemöller

I think it's understandable that today's college students would be so easily persuaded to snitch on their fellow classmates. They grew up being taught to conform. I was a high school student in the late 60's and it was a time to be different, no one thought they should have to be exactly like their neighbor. I started college in 1969, a small Catholic liberal arts college in SF Bay Area. I watched on TV, the many student protests led by Mario Savio at UC Berkeley. At the time I was glad not to be at a school that had this much chaos. Today I have wondered what Savio would think of today's college students, he died several yrs ago. I think he would be very disappointed, like so many of us are. I say that college students, today, are conformists because they have never been allowed to be 'different.' If you are at all different you are immediately put on 'The Spectrum' and often given drugs so you will conform. Don't get me wrong I realize that there are children born with great difficulties that certainly have special needs. I am not talking about those children. I am talking about the boy who can't sit still and is a constant bundle of energy, the girl who only wants to play horses in the field or the boy who is only interested in nature and every day after recess he has a new big bug he brings in the classroom or another kid who draws hot rods all day long. These are actually kids I went to grammar school with and all of them became successful adults but in today's world I think some of them would have been put on 'The Spectrum' and some given drugs. So why would we think that college students would be anything but conformists. It's sad that we now have a whole generation of people that often times have had their differences and innate curiosity stripped from them. And we wonder why they are so willing to snitch on the student that is different from them.

Following the announcement of his "Disinformation Governance Board," Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas found himself scrambling to spin the hideous new speech enforcer, claiming it was not as Orwellian as any normal person would think. Speaking with Fox News, Sunday he told Bret Baier: "This is a working group that takes best practices to make sure that, in addressing disinformation that presents a threat to the homeland, our work does not infringe on free speech, does not infringe on civil rights, civil liberties," he continued. "It's not about speech, it's about the connectivity to violence. That is what we need to address. You know, an individual has the free speech

In a sign that Ukraine's just war for survival against Russian attack is growing more partisan-politicized and subject to domestic U.S. politics, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has turned up in Kyiv, along with six other extemely rabid leftist Democrats. The junketeers met with Ukraine's President Volodomyr Zelensky, who welcomed them warmly, as he always does with assorted political pilgrims these days. According to the Daily Mail: U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has led a congressional delegation to Kyiv to meet with Ukraine's president before heading to Poland for talks with officials there on Sunday.

This week, we've been introduced to a new breed of an old Stasi standby now in the United States: the intrusive political censor. Once the province of crummy, furtive, little gray-faced men, as depicted in "The Lives of Others," these modern day censors are now out and open as big social media stars, not even trying to hide their claims to being our political masters. While Elon Musk, was decrying the censorship activities of Twitter's top corporate attorney Vijaya Gadde, and the latter famously bawled about her company's new owner, Joe Biden's secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, was introducing us to think tank regular Nina Jankowicz who made a bizarre

Joe Biden is in trouble. His Democrats are collapsing at the polls based on his disastrous first term and now midterms are around the corner. What's a failed president to do? Dole out the goodies, of course, some big ones in a desperate bid to win back younger leftist voters. According to CBS News: President Biden is looking at different options to forgive an unspecified but substantial amount of federal student loan debt — a move that would thrill some of his most loyal supporters and financially strapped students nationwide, but is a departure from campaign pledges to provide limited relief. The president shared his plans during a 90-minute White House meeting Monday

How gross do you have to be to be involved with the pervy, pervy Lincoln Project? The scandal-plagued NGO of ex-Republicans devoted to destroying President Trump has seen its share of sex scandals involving one of its founders, John Weaver, harassing and soliciting unwilling young men and at least one 14-year-old boy. But that's not their only scandal; there's a new one involving mysterious payouts for some sort of bad behavior, and these scandals aren't over. According to the Washington Free Beacon: The Lincoln Project shelled out another six-figure payment to a founding member of the super PAC who accused the organization of ignoring allegations of sexual misconduct within its ranks.

With a red wave coming, desperate Democrats are now embracing the politics of Hugo Chavez. And Iran's mullahs. And Vlad Putin. Instead of running for office, and trying to persuade voters that their ideas are the best ones, which would involve defending their execrable record in power, they're opting to go the dictator's way, by trying to disqualify opponents from office. Never mind what the voters think. Which brings us to the outrageous show trial of pro-Trump Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. According to NPR's account: Controversial Republican U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia on Friday defended her comments ahead of the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol

Sri Lanka, an island nation of 22 million people, is in the grips of an economic meltdown. This slow-motion train wreck first began in November 2019 when Gotabaya Rajapaksa won a decisive victory in the country’s presidential elections. He immediately placed family members into key government positions and suspended Parliament. Then in August 2020, his Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna party — the Sri Lanka People’s Front — posted a landslide victory. The win gave Rajapaksa the ability to amend the country’s constitution, which he quickly availed himself of. In total control, President Rajapaksa and his brother Mahinda, the prime minister, went on a spending spree

Employees of the tech giant Apple are revolting against a plan to get staff back into the office for three days a week, claiming it will make the company “younger, whiter and more male-dominated”. Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, has said his proposed “hybrid working pilot” for US, Europe and UK employees is an attempt to balance the corporate benefits of in-office working with the personal advantages that working from home gives staff members. A group of US-based Apple employees have formed an organisation dubbed “Apple Together” and claim the initiative is “only driven by fear”. The unnamed staff have sent
