Democrats Learn What Consequences Are
During Ketanji Brown Jackson's Confirmation Hearing

The confirmation hearing for Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson began on Capitol Hill on Monday. The prior reactions in the mainstream media were what you’d expect. Namely, endless, slobbering profiles and claims that any questioning of the judge’s record would be racist and out of bounds. When the time came, Sen. Dick Durbin opened the hearing by pleading with Republicans for “civility.” Of course, Republicans owe Durbin and his party nothing of the sort. After all, it’s been less than four years since one of the most disturbing, disgusting congressional and media spectacles in US history: The Brett Kavanaugh hearings. We all remember the eleventh-hour letter

Do not try to tell me the GOP's are mad as all get out and they are going to teach those libs a lesson. The GOP's don't have it in them. The only thing they good at is talking tough...then when the time comes they fold like a cheap suit and vote the way the libs want them to. They can never go as low as the libs. Most of these GOP's have already confirmed this judge at several previous confirmation hearings. Oh...but this is the Supreme Court and this is a lifetime appointment. They should be more concerned about the health of Clarence Thomas. Remember how Scalia died "unexpectedly". That will be the hill worth fighting for. PS...Note to Clarence Thomas...hire some armed security and a food taster.

I still remember Biden's Chairing the Clarence Thomas hearings. Should we give Jackson the same kind of treatment he got? Of course not. But she needs to be thoroughly vetted and questioned. That is never going to happen with this bunch of cowards and she will eventually be appointed. God help us then.

Washington - The United States on Tuesday ended a longstanding dispute with Britain over U.S. steel and aluminum tariffs, and said the two allies would work closely together to address market overcapacities from non-market economies like China. In a joint statement, U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai said the deal would allow historically based sustainable volumes of U.K. steel and aluminum products to enter the U.S. market without the application of Section 232 tariffs. In addition to setting smelt and cast requirements on aluminum, the deal requires any U.K. steel company owned by a Chinese entity to audit its financial records to assess influence

It goes without saying that leftists have perfected the art of situational ethics. The basic operating rule for the left is: “‘Democracy’ means getting what we want; if any institution doesn’t give us what we want, that institution must be destroyed,” though they will always call it “reform.” Consider the cliche of the last few years that “democracy is in peril,” and then let this Washington Post headline settle in at a leisurely pace: From “democracy in crisis” to rule by decree faster than Vin Diesel in Fast & Furious 10. The Russian military has lost more than 10% of the combat force that President Vladimir Putin sent to invade Ukraine, a senior Pentagon official said Tuesday. The Russian combat force has dipped slightly below 90% for the first time in a war that began less than a month ago, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to describe intelligence assessments. Not all of the more than 150,000 Russian troops in and around Ukraine are combat troops; many provide support functions. Russian ground forces remain largely stalled across Ukraine, particularly around the capital of Kyiv, where their closest troops remain about 10 miles from the city’s center.
