The confirmation hearing for Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson began on Capitol Hill on Monday. The prior reactions in the mainstream media were what you’d expect. Namely, endless, slobbering profiles and claims that any questioning of the judge’s record would be racist and out of bounds.
When the time came, Sen. Dick Durbin opened the hearing by pleading with Republicans for “civility.” Of course, Republicans owe Durbin and his party nothing of the sort. After all, it’s been less than four years since one of the most disturbing, disgusting congressional and media spectacles in US history: The Brett Kavanaugh hearings.
We all remember the eleventh-hour letter

Look for members of the RINO Hall of Fame (Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski and Mitt "Pierre Delecto" Romney) to vote yea.

Do not try to tell me the GOP's are mad as all get out and they are going to teach those libs a lesson. The GOP's don't have it in them. The only thing they good at is talking tough...then when the time comes they fold like a cheap suit and vote the way the libs want them to. They can never go as low as the libs. Most of these GOP's have already confirmed this judge at several previous confirmation hearings. Oh...but this is the Supreme Court and this is a lifetime appointment. They should be more concerned about the health of Clarence Thomas. Remember how Scalia died "unexpectedly". That will be the hill worth fighting for.
PS...Note to Clarence Thomas...hire some armed security and a food taster.

Democrats learn are two words that should never be used in the same sentence. Democrats repeatedly demonstrate that they are incapable of learning. Those that do, become Republicans.

“Rule of Law”......we no longer have law, we have edicts and mandates. The Supremes are particularly good at finding all kinds of stuff in the penumbra of the Constitution.

Chief Just-Us Roberts reportedly begged the Dems to let him testify on her behalf. Chief Just-Us Roberts has told his liberal handlers that she is the perfect candidate to achieve their shared goal of totalitarianism and destroy the constitution. And Roberts believes the Supreme Joke needs another Joke on the court. It didn't hurt that she is a racist, sexist nominee like Sotomeyer,

Does ''civility'' mean waiting until the hearings are almost over and then leaking a fake scandal?

I call BS. The limp-wristed Republicans will make a token effort as window-dressing to impress the masses, then the usual suspects (Collins, Murkowski, Romney, and a few others) will vote to confirm her.

I still remember Biden's Chairing the Clarence Thomas hearings. Should we give Jackson the same kind of treatment he got? Of course not. But she needs to be thoroughly vetted and questioned. That is never going to happen with this bunch of cowards and she will eventually be appointed. God help us then.

Oh who are we kidding? The RINOs will roll over and vote for her. She could be caught on video dismembering puppies and they would still vote to confirm because “First black woman Supreme Court Justice!”

Funny that the same people that adore men pretending to be women , and allowing you to be anything you want to identify (pretend) to be, and who see everything through a racist lens, insist on a racist woman as the only viable candidate! And being the racist that he is in real life, we know she wasn't picked by the resident moron, but by the same brains that selected kamalala cackles!

If the repugs had some courage, they would be playing the video of FJB public lynching of Justice Thomas on national TV.

Reason #7654 why I hate the GOP* and love Donald Trump.
* at this point in time for this country there really is no distinction between the GOPe and the GOP. They're all in for themselves and not the country.

Andrew Jackson owned slaves. Wouldn't that alone be grounds for dismissing the nomination of someone named Jackson?
