House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been getting trolled across social media for bragging about telling Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky that women’s tennis icon and feminist activist Billie Jean King sends her regards. “When I spoke to President Zelensky, I said, Billie Jean King sends you her regards,” Pelosi told reporters on Wednesday. [Video] The tennis star had visited the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Title IX, a federal civil rights law passed in 1972 that “prohibits sex-based discrimination in any school or other education program that receives funding from the federal government.”

Not only do we need term limits on politicians, we need statutes of limitation on lefties telling their self-soothing bedtime stories all the time like Lennie in Of Mice & Men. The three people in that photo have the combined age of 241. That's just 5 years younger than the Declaration of Independence and 6 years before the Constitution was signed. Their time is done. Over. But the amassing and dogged retention of power has suspended time, progress and many people's ability to leave the past in the past. King has, sadly, more readily embraced the fictions surrounding her career, especially the Bobby Riggs match. It was a typical 70s sideshow. A tacky monument to excess like an Evel Knievel jump. A freak show. A spectacle. A money grab. Lacking much of anything else to celebrate, the media have attempted to turn it into the Burning Bush of women's athletics and King has conveniently played along despite participating and knowing the truth. Put simply, it's time for these old people to be retired and forgotten.

I was just a kid fresh out of high school when that circus happened and always thought it was fake. I was always active in sports and I knew there wasn’t a boy in sports that I could beat at anything. No one said a word about Riggs being nothing but a broke tennis court hustler trying to make his last score.

FTA: "Title IX, a federal civil rights law passed in 1972 that “'prohibits sex-based discrimination in any school or other education program that receives funding from the federal government.'” If females are recruited into programs and not males, is that not a violation? If females are offered "help" that is not offered males, is that not a violation, too? In athletics, why are there male and female divisions? If men cannot participate in "second tier" competitions that now feature females, isn't that in contravention of Title IX's intent? It's all about EQUALITY, isn't it? That does not mean to diminish males however possible, nor promote females or "others", unless it's Animal Farm.

There are times when reading about how we are adapting to a many-gendered world that I have to check to make sure I’m still on good old Planet Earth and have not been transported to Cloud Cuckoo Land to live with people who deny the reality of existence. The Cloud Cuckoo Landers who 30 years ago may have been living under lock and key in some insane asylum are now taking their place in positions of authority and are dictating how the rest of us should view reality. It would be amusing if there weren’t real-life victims of this nonsense.

It’s really a shame that the master propagandists of the mid-20th century in Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia missed the 21st-century revolution in imaging. Think what Goebbels and his Nazi cohorts could have done with modern CGI. Or what Stalin could have done with deep fakes. Democrats on the Jan. 6 Committee are not similarly handicapped. They are beginning to prepare a multimedia presentation that will be available online when their final report is released (probably about six weeks out from the midterms). And they plan to hire a writer as “part of its effort to turn its largely secretive work into a compelling narrative, multiple sources tell CNN.”

Republicans are reinventing voter mobilization — by recruiting drivers at gas stations as they pump some of the costliest fuel in history. “I’ve never been so excited about gas in my life,” said GOP activist Scott Presler. Presler sent dozens of volunteers to gas stations across the city and Long Island on Saturday to sign up new voters ahead of November’s midterm elections — and to convince registered Democrats to switch parties. The effort comes amid an incredible price surge at the pump — $4.78 a gallon in Manhattan on Friday, up from $2.99 a year ago — that has motorists casting blame on President Joe Biden.

Joe Biden’s Supreme Court nominee, Ketanji Brown Jackson, was briefly hailed (by some) as a consensus nominee that even some Republicans could support. I’m starting to think that Republican support will be much harder to get than Biden had hoped. Last month, we learned that in 1996, Jackson wrote a “Note” for the Harvard Law Review arguing that convicted sex offenders were treated “unfairly” in the courts. Earlier this week, her past work advocating on behalf of Guantánamo Bay terrorists also became an issue that will undoubtedly come up during her confirmation hearings. Completing the trifecta of disturbing aspects of Ketanji Brown Jackson’s radical record

That exceeds by 32 cents the prior all-time high of $4.11 set in July 2008, AP reports. In 2020, President Joe Biden declared war on oil and gas in America. In a Democratic primary debate, Biden declared, “No more subsidies for the fossil fuel industry. No more drilling including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period. It ends.” High gas prices are all part of his plan. The other day, Biden declared that there was nothing his administration had done to raise prices or restrict drilling. Actually, there have been plenty of regulatory measures taken and offshore leases curtailed. More importantly, Biden declared war on fossil fuels.
