Although I typically don’t want athletes and celebrities commenting on political or social issues, it’s different when someone asks them a question first. Colin Kaepernick invited the justified hate because his kneeling interjects politics into sports without anyone wanting it. Bryce Mitchell, on the other hand, might never have shared his thoughts on the Ukraine crisis were it not for an UFC reporter deciding UFC wasn’t good enough for him. As always, these narcissistic sports journalists have to change the world with their heroic journalisming.
