Texas Democratic Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee is demanding the release of WNBA star Brittney Griner who was detained by authorities in Russia for allegedly possessing a vape with cannabis oil. "We know that there were some issues dealing with vape cartridges and other items but let me be very clear," Lee, who represents Griner’s hometown of Houston, Texas, in Congress, said on Saturday. "Brittney Griner is a United States citizen, she was a guest in Russia…and I will be demanding her release."

It's time for your red pill. Something smells rotten in Ukraine. The story is rotten, rancid, hinky; the story just doesn't add up.
President Joe Biden and the media desperately want you to believe Russia is the bad guy and Ukraine is a little angel. They want you to fall in love with underdog Ukraine. They want you to support America getting involved on behalf of Ukraine. To get your support, they need the media to sell you a bill of goods. But it just doesn't add up.

Vice President Kamala Harris will travel to Selma, Alabama, on Sunday, where she will walk across the Edmund Pettus Bridge to mark the 57th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, a key moment in the civil rights moment. Bloody Sunday commemorates when, in 1965, 600 people began a march from Selma, Alabama, to Montgomery, Alabama, demanding an end to discrimination in voter registration. At the Edmund Pettus Bridge, state and local lawmen attacked the marchers with billy clubs and tear gas, driving them back to Selma. Seventeen people were hospitalized and dozens were more injured by police. The vice president will also

Vice President Kamala Harris used her visit to Selma, Alabama, as an opportunity to compare state Republicans who passed new election laws to 1960s state troopers who attacked Black civil rights protesters as they crossed the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Ms. Harris made the trip Sunday to commemorate the 57th anniversary of “Bloody Sunday,” the day in 1965 when White state troopers assaulted Black voting-rights demonstrators trying to cross the historic bridge in Selma. Ms. Harris described the marchers on that day as “preparing for the worst” and were kneeling in prayer as the state troopers charged at them. “Those brave marches continued to push forward to secure the freedom

American women's basketball great Brittney Griner has been detained in Russia for at least three weeks after the two-time Olympic gold medal winner and seven time WNBA All-Star was arrested at a Moscow airport for allegedly having a vape pen filled with hash oil. Griner, 31, was detained last month while flying in to play for her Russian basketball team during the WNBA offseason, but there has been no confirmed date of when she was arrested. Her last communication was on February 5 when she posted a photo to Instagram of her and her Phoenix Mercury teammates. Now Russia might use Griner as leverage

The day before yesterday, South Carolina GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham caused a political firestorm when he tweeted the following. (Snip) Marcus Junius Brutus was the Roman magistrate who conspired with Roman Senator Gaius Cassius to assassinate Roman dictator Julius Caesar in 44 B.C., while Claus von Stauffenberg led a failed assassination attempt against Adolf Hitler in 1944. Yesterday, Graham doubled down on his comments on Fox and Friends.
"I'm hoping someone in Russia will understand he is destroying Russia and you need to take this guy out back any means possible," adding that Russia needed an "Eliot Ness or a Wyatt Earp."
Ness was a reference to the prohibition-era agent

Antony Blinken said Sunday there is intelligence that Russia is engaging in 'war crimes' against Ukrainian people as Vladimir Putin continues his assault on the country, targeting military and civilians alike. 'We've seen very credible reports of deliberate attacks on civilians, which would constitute a war crime,' the Secretary of State told CNN's State of the Union. 'What we're doing right now is documenting all of this, putting it all together, looking at it and making sure that as–people and the appropriate organizations and institutions investigate whether war crimes have been or are being committed,' Blinken added. He reiterated that the reports are 'very credible.'

Democrats do not want “unity” with the GOP “fascists,” according to a recent Salon piece accusing Republicans of seeking to create a “21st-century Herrenvolk society” in which black people “have no rights the white man is bound to respect.”Titled “Dear Joe Biden: We don’t want ‘unity’ with fascists — that’s why Democrats lose,” and penned by senior politics writer Chauncey DeVega, the Friday Salon essay declares “the compromise [Biden] imagines” is simply “surrendering to fascism.” Calling President Biden the “best option available for defeating Donald Trump and buying time to organize a defense of American democracy against the neofascist assault,” the author claims the president has accomplished “a great deal”

How does any rational or caring human being watch us lose a 20-year war against cave-dwelling barbarians, and not just lose that war, but lose it in the most humiliating fashion imaginable, and less than a year later already have a war-boner for Ukraine? I’m convinced the unholy alliance between Neocons, the corporate media, and the Democrat party is the Seventh Seal. For a moment, let’s forget about the fact that America is incapable of liberating anyone; let’s ignore that our definition of “liberating” is to spend $4 trillion killing hundreds of thousands of innocents and then abandoning them to the enemy.

Leeds Crown Court has heard that a British girl was abused and groomed by up to 300 men by the time she reached the age of 17.
The courtroom was told that the girl was targeted by a group of men from the age of 14, and her parents had contacted social services after she repeatedly returned home looking dishevelled and under the influences of drugs and alcohol—one time completely naked from the waist down. However, Kate Batty, for the prosecution, said that the unidentified girl’s parents were told by social services that “she must love it if she keeps going back”—a stance that has stark parallels

Houston, Texas — Election officials in Texas’ largest county failed to count approximately 10,000 ballots by election day. The Democrat-appointed election administrator for Harris County reported 6,000 of the ballots were cast in the Democratic Party primary and 4,000 in the Republican Party Primary.
“As we continue to run through the numerous checks and balances of the tallying process, we identified approximately 10,000 mail-in ballots (6,000 Democratic and 4,000 Republican) that were not added into the original Election Night count,” Harris County Election Administrator Isabel Longoria said in a written statement obtained by Breitbart Texas. “The oversight occurred between the hours of 1 and 4 a.m.

Plans for Poland to send fighter jets to Ukraine have been given the 'green light' by the US amid warnings from Russia that countries hosting Kyiv's military aircraft could end up being involved in an armed conflict. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said today that the country was in talks with Poland in order to orchestrate a deal that would allow Polish fighter jets to be flown by pilots from the Ukrainian Air Force in order to combat Russia's air superiority.
The deal would see Ukraine take Poland's 28 Russian-made MiG-29 warplanes, which would in turn be replaced by a fresh set of F-16's
