A U.S. official claimed that Belarus is planning to join in on Russia's invasion of Ukraine as soon as Monday, just after a referendum in Belarus on Sunday approved a new constitution ditching the country's non-nuclear status - meaning it could potentially host Russian weapons. The American official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to the Washington Post, said that 'it’s very clear [Belarus' capital] Minsk is now an extension of the Kremlin. No indication on how many troops nor where they would be deployed was given by the official. The new constitution could see nuclear weapons on Belarusian soil

No, his invasion is pushing the world to WWIII. He made the first move. Sanctions are just a reaction to his first move

Who’s going to blink first? It’s up to Europe to stand strong because their ally is a mentally unfit and incompetent democrat boob who is lead around by the nose by people with insatiable lust for power. Their only thought for the moment is holding on to their power here at home. A threat by Russia to use nuclear weapons falls far behind that consideration. If you follow this invasion out to its logical conclusion, it does not end well for the free world because Putin is determined to destroy Ukraine. I cannot see him honestly negotiating a cease fire much less peace. He is escalating the situation and has no qualms regarding the genocide he has in store for the Ukrainian people. Is this situation being enabled by his friend XiJinping? Do they have some kind of mutual strategy to bring war to the entire world? With men who have no conscience or humanity beyond their own lust for power, anything is possible. We are sitting ducks without a leader. The timing could not be more perfect for these two evil men to act in tandem. This is the consequence of a stolen election. Was it worth it, Republicans? When you could have taken a stand, you chose to run and hide. Now we are looking at world war.

Villains ALWAYS blame their victims and bystanders with regard to their own actions.
"You MADE ME do it!!" has got to be one of the most contemptable phrases invented by man.

Putin is a tyrant, without question. But be careful about boxing him in completely. An animal with nothing to loose is more violent and dangerous than one with something to loose. The world is turning on Putin, the Russian people are turning on him and soon the oligarchs will turn on him. That is when he will be removed from power and dissapeared.

As a follow on your my previous post, a lot ofvthe talking heads have mentioned Putin's legacy. Usually a tyrant focusing on their legacy, is ether dying or about to loose power. Again, this makes him more dangerous and more likely to use nukes.

Possible end game for the conflict? Russia leave Ukraine, but Belarus starts hosting Russian nukes. That is what is called a Pooty solution. And I think that was the point of this whole fiasco.

Fine, the US should move land-based nuclear weapons into Poland and sea-based nukes into the Baltic. MAD has worked successfully during my entire lifetime, that started under Eisenhower; it only fails to work when one side fails to keep up with the "Mutually Assured" part.
